Mitt Romney vs. Obama Super Pac: The Matchup

How would Mitt Romney do in the advertising campaign this fall against President Obama and his super PAC?

Since the President has decided to accept unlimited donations from the world or whomever to attempt to buy a second term in office his ethical choices now present a different menu. The President has decided to return large campaign donations from the brothers of a Mexican fugitive charged with Mexican political bribery, assassinations and possibly drug trafficking. That 200,000 dollars is going to be returned to the Cardonas brothers to harmonize with the Democratic Party's highest ethical standard.

The Obama campaign team can count on maybe another billion from vague offshore or extraneous donors that would prefer to have his political style another four years. They would have a tough time matching up with Mitt Romney on two important issues in the advertising war though. Attacking Mitt Romney's record in Massachusetts would attack the constituency of the President's second 'sponsor' state, and attacking Mitt Romney on health care would in effect be an attack on Obamacare.

How would Newt Gingrich fare against the President's billions (presumably including Warren Buffet whose Secretary was given the special seat of honor in the recent State of the Union address)? Newt Gingrich would probably lose the advertising battle with his background in comparison to the Presidents.

Newt Gingrich was one of the primary designers of the 90's flamonomics that built up unto the 2007-2008 banking and home mortgage crisis and is an essential opponent to patching up Wall Street. Mr. Gingrich is also a probably target of pervasive and protracted personal attack by Mr. Obama's homosexual supporters as the butch effort to compel through law a civil rights hegemony over straight males is a preference of many and of some wealthy elites seeking after concentration of wealth, power and the degradation of the common man. Personal attacks instead of reason are the consistent modus operandi of that political vector.

Former Speaker Gingrich's personal ethics vulnerability to counter-propaganda by the Democratic PACs would be a phenomena lasting several months, while a few debates; three or four at most would not provide the Speaker with any compensating decisive advantage able to nullify the advertising defeats. Mr. Gingrich might run against the President's history before he took office in affiliating with various Chicago personalities yet that is to a certain extent old business while the neo-scandal of Mr. Gingrich's past would be as persistent possibly as Edward Kennedy and Chappequidick was in the talk radio egosphere.
