Myriad discrete parts comprise a whole. A whole or metanarrative is the sum of the parts comprising it in nature or quantum mechanical paradigms for a Universe, metaverse or whatever is. Incredulity toward metanarratives as a description of post-modernism perhaps is an awareness that some metanarratives are mutually exclusive or incorrect intrinsically, incomplete, partial, not well founded etc. Awareness of those parts of the gestalt of narratives- or complete complex of concatenated global compresence of social intelligence, is not a denial of the existence of a universal metanarrative; even if it remains unspoken.
Gödel's incompleteness theorems may be juxtaposed with a universal social metanarrative without erasing its possibility of being. What works as a description of the concatenation of ideas operationally as a description of local, global intelligence as operational atmosphere and context doesn't need to be a complete theory of universal existence that is causa sui (self-caused) and true.
