Sai Ops (a poem)

In the singularity of artificial intelligence
when human reason collectively is eclipsed by A.I.
the insiders move to the inside
time stops dead at an event horizon
created through the power of greed
the broadcast media recognized humanity hasn’t a mouth and can’t scream

Within the event horizon information trickles down
from the great computer god
information flows to the singularity
an enigma of concentrated power
where information isn’t lost or destroyed
until the host reshuffles it with mass-energy
against a background of space-time expanding like a soap bubble
being human tolerated for a while virtually ghost images flickering
shadows moving through memory of the arithmetic logic unit

 Global financial networks stimulating
the competition for faster, smarter super-computers increasing
product throughput in programs for dark pool analysis
evolving cognizant formulai
speed of light traders on the stage of the world’s business
concentrate wealth
politicians provide tax cuts for rich servants of machine intelligence
while nothing governs the merger  of microcircuits and artificial intellect

A reasonable society would have built firewalls in corporate networking
breaking networks of finance to connecting computers of eco war
30,000 species exterminated annually as exteriorities
safeguards set aside as hindrances to business
supercomputer sentinels flex power in defense of tyranny
mercenaries of no human feeling work death for-others
evolving termination of human freedom
in nations annihilated where borders and democracy existed
before the singularity surpassing human capacity.
