One True Cross (poem)

Flying high above the trees
lifting off in every dream
nightly leaping from the Earth
into the sky for what it’s worth

Machinations of obsessive clowns
broken up with spectral flight
evil no more takes one down
rising into the world’s friendly skies

Over the forest and neighborhoods
through clean air I'm clearly floating
moving with thoughts of winter’s rood
like one true cross in air placed boating.
