I used the NY Times tool to listen to the recording and never heard a thing besides Laurel. The original recording is Laurel yet people that voted for Hillary are supposed to hear 'Yanny'.
One could set up a similar test with a Tal sack configuration and ask people if they would make it. Maybe more would say no if they didn't know it it went 1-0.
