Send the I.S.S. on a Slow Journey for Earth-Mars Orbit

 If the I.S.S. is becoming a hazard because of it's condition, would it be possible to send the space station to orbit between Mars and Earth after being sealed, or sent on a one-way mission to the sun or Pluto, instead of crashing and burning in the Earth's atmosphere?

It is good to repurpose material when possible instead of disposing of it. Some day the I.S.S. could be a valuable addition to some collector of space station classics living somewhere in the outer solar system.
