Just a note about Ebay's recalcitrance to issue a refund if the fault is with the postal service failing to deliver. Apparently Ebay will take a month or two to consider issuing a refund. Ebay has already extended the date when they will issue a refund four times for a used laptop I purchased and the post office has failed to deliver though I paid $19.60 for USPS ground advantage delivery. I was surprised by the deceit about the date when a refund would be issued each time they said they would and failed to do so. When the date arrives instead of making a refund they automatically extend the date when they will. Now it is August 10th for a computer bought on June 22nd. The extension date may recur until 2026 it seems.
The postal tracking history is comedic. The laptop was in Atlanta, traveled somewhere and seven days later returned to Atlanta. It then made it's to Chicago where it remained for a while until travelling to Aurora Colorado. It stayed there for about 10 days then travelled to Seattle where it has remained for more than ten days. Ebay extends the date every ten days as if they believe the postal service will deliver the package this year and I won't mind, or rather won't find any way to get a refund in ebay's loopy help and support process.
