Neanderthalers were strong and would have made excellent grapplers in the cage. They were smart and artistic as well- a less known side of their lives. Europeans and East Asians have a high percent of Neanderthal genes- some more than others. The Neanderthal Genome project completed sequencing of the genome in 2010-2013. Though it has been fully mapped the genome cannot presently be transplanted into a human cell to create a hybrid that could be trained to be the ultimate M.M.A. fighter.
As Super-Artificial Intelligence takes over most occupations Americans may, down the road, choose to infuse their human offspring with Neanderthal genes in order to adapt to the changing world where entertainment like football and M.M.A. Octagon wrestling are the primary social interest. That means they will want future Americans to become at least 25% Neanderthal in order to compete for social prestige.
Adam Smith's invisible hand of the market will definitely naturally select the future of Americans to be troglodytes with Super-AI doing the heavy lifting. One can thank the lucky stars for the fool proof nature of capitalism. Political leaders too will be selected and bred for high Neanderthal content; perhaps an upgrade from progeny of the last few Presidential election cycles.
