Plainly though, someone could program AGI to seek to bond, infuse ts own code into other programs and multiply itself without even thinking about that. It would be like a very smart virus.

It may that Tegmark’s level four Universe does exist and time is nothing more than an emergent effect of quantum entanglement with the mind switching about into appropriate Universes in its own world-line of experience.
