Day and Night- a poem

 

  Several years ago
sounds were
spaces of shadow
memories lost
like dirt presented as dust

  Several months ago
things like planets were discussed
perchlorates were inchoate elements
Intolerable for thymus glands
In dirt presented as dust

  Several days ago
Venus was 900 degrees
and warmer below the surface
heat trapped for billions of years
won’t release the edge easily

  A few minutes ago
life might have ended
with myriad weapons of mass destruction
competing for attention
for massive public debt.

Inefficient Perfect Orders (poem)

 

Orders of structures wherein people dwell
demographics of cardinal statistics
quick time tells too well
all sin galled lives
for judgement day unto hell

  Machines of delivery
skylines of fame
martyred with meaningless things
unto eternity
sprawl meaningless dreams

  With coyotes crunching rabbits
organs and blood for tart sauce
eating hair and fiber
crunching incisors
reduce nothing to lost

  Tearing the hearty
tasty chunks whole
dissolved in acid bellies
small bones too were swallowed whole
just for more appetizing starts

  Skies full of seeming
forever rolling gravity waves
in clandestine strictures
with incomparable raves
inefficient were cold tones tossed.
