Darkening Cold Mysts (poem)

 

The rain was cold and dead
while time fell in every word said
nothing left to be or become
black and white asphalt glare without sun

December set death though mist
wrapping itself like glass around branches
cloud’s anomie left to itself
passes through nowhere closed even to wealth

If the dead were lost on ice
where darkness isn’t an afterthought
time would be equally stranded
in shadows that wouldn’t feel

A solitary spark
a feeling of animation in the distance
farther and colder, more wet and forgotten
less than forgetfulness, as if it never was

Human wickedness the challenge
can’t blame God for that
through open doors to wars for more
given free will he finds time to kill.

1 Peter 5:8 and Thermodynamics of the Universe

 Interesting to consider the meaning of  1 Peter 5:8 in light of thermodynamics and original sin  Everyone has the need to devour energy and increase. The devil epitomizes that desire as a raging lion seeking to devour. Jesus, as is pointed out, overcame the world and that natural thermodynamics paradigm.  

The paradigm that the meek shall inherit the Earth is consistent, logically with Jesus Christ as a spiritual savior- the Son of God, leading one from that thermodynamic striving that is endemic and inherent in every known living creature in the Universe (or world) because they are made that way. In order to prevent sinful humans from living forever in disobedience, after the fall Adam and Eve- the forerunners of humanity, were cast into thermodynamics with birth, deaths and the need for work to attain energy to exist. When people are saved they have faith in God and are filled with the Holy Spirit-  God transcends the physical world with its thermodynamic arrow of space-time serving as a containment or management facility for the spiritually wayward and disobedient. Jesus Christ alone is able to reconcile people unto what is acceptable to God.

Scripture hermeneutics can find meanings thousands of years ahead of science of the time it was written.
