Christ and Buddhism; Detachment from Worldly Desire

 Detachment from the world and desire is important to Christians and Buddhists. Christians though don't believe in rebirth. Except- being born again in spirit through the regenerative work of God through His son Jesus and the grace of the Holy Spirit. I think most people that aren't Christians don't understand the Triune God- one God in three persons. 

Christians believe people are created- not reborn, and yet all of mankind is spiritually dead because of original sin. If they are reborn in the Spirit through the calling of the Holy Spirit and saved through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the cross- when Jesus paid the penalty of sin as a substitution for those saved, then people have eternal life with God through Jesus Christ. Buddhism though would leave one at oblivion after a course with Nibbana of detachment from desire; basically sharing the same fate, as modern worldly, scientific atheists. Democrats may have a desire to be detached from sound economic reasoning and security, yet that doesn't count.

God is perfect and perfectly good and cannot look upon sin or tolerate it in His divine economy. Hell would be to spend eternity without God and yet have a spiritual existence- imagine all of the lights of the stars extinguished forever, with all things God created, and only the unsaved and lost existed in that space. The saved will be elsewhere.

Like a moon in the night
the saved reflect God’s light
quanta of being run true and straight

The love of God saves
through social and political mazes
setting the spirit true to life’s purpose in sight

Training for the city of God
saved souls won't love the world's bogs
the spirit is made for what is right

Heeding the call to life is never late
the mind plans of the Father are greater than being
so one may ask; what then was fate?

A Reminder of the Problem of Sin

 Adam and Eve sinned; they learned the difference between good and evil. Animals don’t know anything about moral philosophy yet humans did. The pair were evaluated and found to have missed the mark (sin). Ever since humanity has known the difference between good and evil and they have been in a thermodynamic containment facility. From natural immortality-spiritually perhaps, they were downloaded into mortality in a probably populated world. Jesus Christ atoned for the sin that is inherent in human beings. Those with faith in Jesus in particular are covered from the sin-debt by God who only sees The Son whom is perfect. God cannot tolerate sin in the eternal or divine economy. Sin means to miss the mark-as in archery. There will be no wobbly, off-kilter humans-wayward, willful and disrespectful of God that feel they can be as they are without correction going on into forever with the Lord Jesus Christ. The saved are blessed (it means to sprinkle with blood) by God who sacrificed his Son to pay the penalty for sin that is death. Humanity so often confused or loses understanding of the matter, as they do about wars and other matters that are inferior to peace.

Eternal Hell for the Lost

The divine economy may not tolerate deficit spending, wickedness, sin, error and imperfection through eternity. God is perfect and that which He created that have free will aren't. They need be adopted by Christ's atoning sacrifice so God does not see the sinful character.

Maybe God creates a virtual box for the saved to allow them to exist eternally with Christ's help. For the lost that reject Jesus and go their own way a Universe without God for eternity would become a hell I would guess. Spirits might cohere as the Universe cycles to gravitational collapse and infinite heat in a singularity. Scientists say that below absolute zero the temperature probably is infinitely high. If the Universe with entropy disperses to heat death a phase change may flip it to infinitely hot. Hell for those godless spirits malingering for eternity within the infernal realm.
