Adaptive Brightness (poem)

For some reason
solitary refinement is a plastered ceiling
with days congealing
painted surfaces running down in beautiful rain

  Clear drops of water
meaningless as fogs and vapors
steaming and meaning the star’s shine works
with all of the black holes of destiny

  Breaking on through
wildlife sightings
kites transfer charges true windowed
stickers on one side to another

  Free electrons at last
free outlasting days of nights
tortures of censures
rented treble clefts

  Adaptive brightness like
dances of arthritic hippie tricks
-a reflecting pool of cleaner bleach
evaporated green life unto the sky.
