Alaska's northern towns have warmed
up a lot since 1976. The Alaska Climate Research Center publishes a chart comparing
temperatures from 1976 to 2018, and the results are consistent with global
warming observations and theories. The temperature change for Barrow in autumn,
for example, is 18.0 degrees Fahrenheit.
The Alaska Climate Research Center is funded by government grant and is affiliated with the University of Alaska-Fairbanks geophysical institute.
Weather record from 1949 to 2018 also show increased average temperatures.
