Starlink is moving on with its
program to cover all of the Earth with broad-band internet coverage from
thousands of satellites that will be orbiting the Earth with a few hundred
already in place.
I
wonder though if the orbiting planetary covering internet satellites will also
be useful for other satellites, including small, inexpensive ones with cameras
surveying Earth or other directions outward, to communicate with Earth
entrepreneurs and companies via the Internet.
That
is will Starlink have some synergy with ad hoc space venture communications
transmitting to Starlink as a relay to Earth for very low or nominal cost. Will it be possible for crowd-control internet space ops interacting with satellites and sundry ventures? Is a Starlink system feasible for Mars or other planets of the solar system?
