Truth Theories
There are several truth theories. The Disquotation theory of truth is a useful one. Identity theory and correspondence theory are notable. Axiology is the field of value theory. If one has a bad truth theory their values may be off the mark as well. That could be meaningful for understanding. https://plato.stanford.edu/entries/truth/
