Truth Theories

There are several truth theories. The Disquotation theory of truth is a useful one. Identity theory and correspondence theory are notable. Verification theory is an obvious one. Axiology is the field of value theory. If one has a bad truth theory their values may be off the mark as well. That could be meaningful for understanding. https://plato.stanford.edu/entries/truth/
For the verification theory of truth to be effective, one need have something to verify. Speculation on any concern or whatever one isn’t certain about is natural enough. The first philosophers didn’t know everything about everything that might matter. I believe that remains the situation today, thousands of years later.
