Russian Withdrawal From Space Station a Goad for U.S. Moon Base?

The International Space Station always was a bridge to nowhere. Finally Russia may stop throwing money away on it and stimulate the U.S.A. to return to the moon to build a base that is a little more on solid ground.

There isn't anything wrong with a Mars colony of course-yet it's really Boston-creme-pie-in-the-sky sort of fluff without a local build from local materials program. Mars combat engineering of shelters made of local dirt and with good mirrors for concentrating sunlight to make electricity along with super-conducting storage materials and water-making from ice would be far more practical than the Martian Yurt and inflatable house program.

If materials from the Earth must go into building above-ground shelters at a Moon base supplied by free enterprise space-shippers they should be reliable, lightweight foam filled hollow log cabins. That would have been enough for Abraham Lincoln and ought to be for generations of gardeners tilling lunar regolith in solar-tube lit greenhouses and niches along crater slopes.

Boko Haram's Aducted Company of Female Swag in New Video

Kidnapping young women for Muslim swag Boko Haram has featured them in a new video. The young ladies are eligible for a prisoner swap according to the Boko Haram leadership. Evidently Muslims do not recognize national borders (the U.S. 'Democrat' Party doesn't seem to have enough interest in halting illegal migration over the Mexican border either), they just recognize religious groupings. That explains why there are no Shi’a mosques in Sunni countries and vice versa. It also makes the administration palaver about democracy in Muslim nations and religious pluralism incompatible political facts.

Long ago when the Sultan and the Sublime Port (government of the Ottoman Empire) ruled Turkey and occupied territories such as Serbia the taking of slaves from Europe to serve nefarious purposes was sop policy. European kids-Janissaries were trained to war on Europe. Some rights of Christians were tolerated (cf Dhimmitude) yet Christians were second-class citizens and prosyletization verboten. The Abstract Form of Monarchy, Corporatism, Hierarchy and Sectarian Conflict

This is a starter (like Windows 7 starter I suppose) on the abstract form of hierarchical power precipitating social conflict inclusive of sectarian war. Perhaps I will write more on the issue later. One finds the U.S. Government bureaucracy stimulating wars in Syria, conflict in Egypt and strife in Ukraine with sectarianism being an issue in each instance. There are other parties involved of course, and the assignment of blame isn’t plain and simple or evens my intention here. The purpose of this post is to not the action of social hierarchy as the causative agent for religious conflict.

The philosopher Thomas Hobbes’ wrote a brilliant conservative thesis named The Leviathan describing the right of the absolute monarch to be in effect the only real individual around whom every citizen receives light. That is an extreme representation of the nature of hierarchy manifesting in imperial, corporate and ecclesiastic power. As power and wealth are concentrated dissent is increasingly eliminated. Absolute power tolerates no dissent. Free expression and political independence dies. In the Orwellian state thought is for-itself usurped by hierarchical programming of citizens. The nature of bloody religious wars is inextricably linked to hierarchical government and church structures. Especially in Erastian or government rule of religion, yet also in established hierarchical bureaucracy doctrine is all-important. Free thought and reform are verboten. Absolute hierarchies are intolerant of doctrinal differences and any sort of pluralism politically or ecclesiastically. Thus Martin Luther’s world-changing concept of justification by faith rather than doled out by bishops.

Luther; a monk, learned of the problems of monastic life and the corruption of Rome and the papacy after visiting Rome himself. He found the sale of indulgences and more church practices that weren’t justified by Biblical guidance. Various Popes had become too powerful believing that had a right to rule not only Christians but government too. This isn’t then place for a critique of the troubles of the papal form of church government with a more equal than other bishops primate-they were at war with themselves too now and then even with as many as three rival popes at once. The issue is the hierarchical structure of the church. Pope Hildebrand thought it best for priests to be celibate in order that they would be more like an international collection of soldiers (of a spiritual sort). A Pope would be something like an Eisenhower. Pope John Paul II-just canonized, was a Polish Catholic, and Polish catholic historical efforts to take over Ukraine for Poland resulted in the formation of a half-catholic, half-orthodox Uniate Church as well as an Orthodox Church in Ukraine. Today there are Protestants in Ukraine too.

‘Bloody’ Mary Queen of Scots and England executed nearly 300 Protestants and other Catholic persecutions of Protestants occurred. She died in 1578 and with her the brief Catholic restoration. In 1572 Catholics massacred Protestants across France and Ireland in the St. Bartholomew’s Day Massacre. The back and forth 16^th and 17^th century reprisals against the reformation of the Christian Church probably was a probably reason that the Puritan Cromwell invaded Ireland and treated them so badly in 1649. John Milton-the author of Paradise Lost was a member of Cromwell’s government. Puritans were founders of the U.S.A. too.

Charles I wanted an Episcopal church form (with Bishops) instead of that of a Presbyterian (elders) structure. There are innumerable historical examples of church hierarchies ruled by government as well as of governments ruled by religious hierarchy. The problem is not religion-at least not Christian religion-as a source for conflict, but the sociological structure of hierarchies exerting the taught controlling power over citizens.

Hierarchy cannot tolerate doctrinal dissent and political free thought. The Inquisition and other government and church executions of individuals killed far more people of faith than scientifically inclined people, yet of course moderns would almost have one think that the church was a great repressor of science generally rather than its sponsor. The church with the benefit of modern science and technology ought easily move toward a priesthood of believers egalitarian structure with three ranks-beginner, intermediate and elder reading standardized with room for improve liturgies in role sharing groups. That might help the ecumenical movement, support real rather than corporate democracy and reduce international conflict.

Positional Initiative and Dynamic Advantage in Political Play

The art of positional advantage is the title of a chess instruction video by  GM Roman Dzindzichashvili. He produced a simple to follow yet excellent lecture. It is a metaphor of analysis for political and weather related ventures too. Humans  inevitably look for an advantage in market economics, land acquisition , taking and holding political power and in myriad work assignments. Positional advantage is demonstrated in a chess game between Rybka and Shredder-to of the top computer programs in the World Championship for Computer Programs .

Computer programs generally have great calculating powers. They have the ability to calculate moves that produce the best acquisition of pieces and advantage mathematically. One of the programs-Rybka- a chess engine, wasprogrammed to not only calculate but to take initiative, make sacrifices etc in order to force through a winning dynamic advantage.

American politicians since Ronald Regan have failed to use general principles of conservation of position for national advantage. Rybka follows general chess principles and won the computer chess championships. Taking shortcuts in political economy for short term gain usually results in degradation of the well being of the nation in the long run.

Some believe that the purpose of capitalism is to concentrate wealth. During the Second World War when the tax rate on the rich was 90% America’s rich suffered. Finally after the end of the cold war Clinton deregulations followed by the Bush II tax cuts lowered the rates on taxes to 35%. Joyce Kilmer's Poem; 'Trees'

Joyce Kilmer was killed at the second battle of the Marne at the age of 31. A sniper shot him as was common. A few years before he wrote the poem 'Trees' about the simple natural things of life. Some have criticized Kilmer for being too sentimental. Kilmer was a priest of course. He may have contemplated trees in the denuded landscape of western Europe during the First World War when shell craters filled with cold water, leftover poison gas and ubiquitous mud effected a bleak landscape.

If Donald Sterling isn' racist the quick summary judgment and pulling of the trigger on L.A. Clippers owner Donald Sterling is a remarkable example of corporatism executing thought and speech control, political correctness and so forth. Mussolini actually invented corporatism and Adolph Hitler used it in developing NAZI Germany, yet George Orwell best described the matured corporatist or communist state in his novel 1984.

Corporate control of the broadcast media made the sports networks a lynch mob of the Clipper's billionaire owner. While one shouldn't be synthetic with the inadequately taxed billionaire class neither should Americans that value free speech be unconcerned about the illegal surveillance of what they say in private and the way it's interpreted by the broadcast media after two or three seconds of analysis.

Sterling's former employee or girlfriend has said that he is not racist. The administration and broadcast media have an Al Sharpton approach to issues seeking an opportunity to profit from anything that might be useful for racial populism. The better approach would be to raise taxes on billionaires to 60% and increase earned income credits for the poor. The broadcast media wavelengths should be given over by act of Congress to ordinary citizen podcast rebroadcast use locally and not be a toy for the rich to control and dumb down the masses.

The U.S.A. Today is one of a number of media outlets that are working a this is your life racist job on Donald Sterling.  They ran an article with a story of how a Clippers basketball player who is white encountered racism. It is sort of a mystery though what exactly the racism described is; to much pay for white players that don't necessarily play so well perhaps being over rated, or not enough pay or what. Maybe the implication is that Sterling like Isaah Thomas who believes Larry Bird was overrated and was the equal of an ordinary black player considers white players as having an inherent advantage of being over-rated.

J.J.Redick is quoted as saying he isn't even conscious of basketball players being black or Mexican (Do the Clippers have Mexican players?). He may have a call awaiting him to the ministry after his playing days are over if so, yet with a $27 million dollar contract the color of money may be what he sees in team mates that play the game well. Even so better stories about racism need to appear if someone is to be seriously financially harmed and given such arbitrary punishment. Of course the corporate world has a different, higher standard of ethics than mere ordinary people. They are just not free to talk about  anything  that might be politically incorrect.

It is remarkable that political correctness rises to make puerile claims about character and the perfect lambs within lions mind set of the present generation of basketball players. If J.J. Redick is colorblind towards male players maybe that's sexist. It is improbable that he didn't notice the race of women he dated. 

I am a little skeptical about the lambiness of minorities playing basketball. That seems a convenient tactic to take until they become a majority before they drop the boom and become 'a black league' as Charles Barkley described the N.B.A. I recall travelling to San Francisco and promptly getting arrested and held in the San Francisco juvenile detention facility when 16. When playing basketball I was one of only two white guys in the game. The blacks exercised ball control and I just never got an opportunity to shoot. Basketball seemed inherently a gang sport.

All the b.s. about race is no substitute for competent politics, full employment, recovery of the ecosphere and less of a gap between rich and poor.

Predestination of the Elect and Divine Mechanics

The doctrine of predestination of the Christian elect is a difficult one for those contemplating theology to work out. The reformation of the church by Martin Luther and others from one stressing works and even the sale of indulgences forgiving sin to one of justification by faith was developed further by John Calvin to an Augustinian paradigm of salvation by election of God with no elements of human works involved in it. The Lord inherently predestines any elements an individuals of the temporal for-himself and those that are saved are given, post hoc, the election of predestination. John Wheeler the late cosmologist-physicist developed the idea of retro-causality for the Universe's history. How much so the Lord has the capacity for retro-causality or ex-temporal causality reconciling the saved from among the lost unto himself existing before time or space existed.

The creation story in the book of Genesis is challenging to interpret in several respects. The work of the J writer perhaps from the court of Solomon or Rehoboam in redacting a prior paper dating to as early as the origin of the aleph beth possibly by Moses as an Egyptian prince adapting hieroglyphs to the Jewish language for their own writing may recount a common story also found in the tale of Gilgamesh about a flood and end of Eden perhaps under the whole prior world of a lower Persian Gulf plain. It may describe an exile of Adam and Eve from an Eden in Yemen or Saudi Arabia during the late Wisconsin Ice Age before they migrated to Mesopotamia. The actual pre-history of the world referred to in Genesis is difficult to be certain of. It is said thought that four cherubim guard the gates of Eden-perhaps those are the space-time dimensions that make it impossible to re-enter the past or even a non-temporal realm of being that Adam and Eve existed in-it's interesting to consider.

The problem of original sin as the entry of Adam and Eve from a non-temporal existence into a temporal Universe and world is consistent with the control of the disobedient nature of Adam and Eve in eating of the tree of knowledge. Temporality and mortality limited their ability to go wrong with their 'little godhood' level of learning. God said he reduced them to a mortal condition before they ate of the tree of eternal life. If Adam and Eve having eaten from the tree of knowledge had then ate from the tree of immortality that would have created a permanent and powerful schism between God and his creations.

Where does that leave us with the problem of infants that die in the human condition of original sin and had no chance to be saved? Some theologians of the past have battled strenuously with different sides of the issue. Anabaptists were even burnt alive about it. Zwingli was liberal and the topic and Calvin took a different turn. It is the problem of human linear reasoning that makes it such a difficult to answer question.

If God were to predestine all infants to salvation simply by dying too young for accountability that too would seem to negate the problem for original sin. If the unsaved are given eternal life what if they turn out to repeat the same errors of Adam and Eve without being at all remorseful? What if they become arrogant idiots for all of eternity? All of that sort of reasoning avoids considering that humans simply can't comprehend the eternal God at all well.

I would think that God has the capacity to just suspend judgment about infants that die without a chance of being saved and let them try again in some other realm of God. Anything is possible with God. One doesn't know well how the hell the willfully unsaved choose to go to for-themselves in effect by disregarding the call of the Holy Spirit during life will be. It is far better to be saved and respond to the call to all of the Lord.

There were no bids to host this years World Chess Championship between Magnus Carlsen and Vishy Anand. With another round of bidding perhaps the U.S.A.-even Juneau Alaska, could enter into the bidding process for the exciting match. Of course E-Bay is the last resort for bidding.

Former Champion Gary Kasparov blamed the current F.I.D.E. administration for the problem with a lack of professionalism. Kasparov; one of the best five chess players of all-time, is seeking to be President of F.I.D.E. for-himself and for-others.

Change Name of Washington Redskins to D.C. Doofus-Demons

Accuracy in naming is sometimes a virtue. The D.C. Doofus-Demons,  Econo-Turkeys or Deficit Spenders could relieve the team of victimizing those with a hint of red skin further.  Onomatopoeiac names such as the Washington Grunt might be good alternatively.

Some might argue that they are too smart to care and old enough to know better than to be interested in the controversy. Washington Blue Skins marching to a different drummer might foe something non-traditional-not sure what exactly.

The Russian bread basket-the Ukraine is of inestimable value to the north Rus people (some Congressmen probably believe Russians should buy their bread from Wal-Mart). Democrat and Republican policies since 2001 in effect have supported the rise of a constellation of new Al Qaeda training camps all over North Africa, the Middle East and central Asia. Daft policy brings unintended consequences to fruition. In a sad note the western supplied Ukraine militia attacked pro-Russian Ukrainians in Slovyansk with much loss of life of civilian dissidents to rule by Wall Street puppets. The Obama administration has specialists at stimulating civil conflict. I hope they do not build another large one in Ukraine. It may be that President Putin's perceived slight to queer propaganda during the Olympics required revenge from Obamanites.

Illegal Alien Labor Supply and the Retardation of Minimum Wage

With of millions of illegal alien workers in the U.S.A. and the potential for millions more arriving whenever the economy improves a little the demand for labor imposes a natural governor retarding the rise of the natural minimum wage. One feels the Democrat Party efforts to force through a minimum wage increase high enough to stimulate the transfer of jobs to Mexico and China is a King Canute sort of aloof Ivy League idiocy of those detached from the reality of the sun belt and non-blue states full of government workers.

Consider Phoenix temporary employers for the homeless and others without quality permanent employment. If the minimum wage is $15 an hour then Labor Ready and Labor Finders would need to charge employers about $25 an hour per temp worker. With illegal aliens working for $3 an hour the possibilities of an American citizen getting a job would be slim to none. No one besides large corporate employers that can't hide illegal temporary workers would hire. Americans. With N.A.F.T.A. making cross border production easy-breezy production might preponderantly shift south of the border. That's a  small act of Congress but a giant leap for Mexico.

Democrat Party leadership doesn't seem to understand the fundamentals of supply and demand. Like King Canute they seem to feel that they just need to command something to happen and it will be so. Reality is an externality to not only global warming deniers but to Democrat economic analysts.

So Nancy Pelosi is ansy to get illegal aliens by the millions made legal so they can work for $15 an hour too. No worry about the cheap labor for Democrats though-they expect millions and millions of new illegal aliens to arrive to take the jobs Americans are legally able to take for less than $15 an hour. They ought instead to consider the actual facts of labor supply and real wage compensation in relation to demand for labor and seal the border against illegal immigration entirely. If jobs that can't be outsourced are must be filled by legal workers the value of labor will increase and wages will naturally rise. It would be a simple matter to create hundreds of thousands of new temporary jobs building a vast Mexican border boundary control zone that is ecologically advanced with canals for desalinating seawater to make fresh water for irrigation and drinking along the desert .

There is a choice of building the United States toward rational ecologically efficient lines with secure, responsible boundaries and population or just incompetantly increasing a sprawl of a few hundred million new Americans, destruction of the remaining environmental health and continuation of cheap labor, low-tech driven boom and bust economic cycles premised on exploiting cheap labor and avoiding environmental and social responsibility wherever possible. Without a Democrat Party that is competent and responsible there is no one to reign in the economic aggression of Republican capitalism when it needs to be moved into constructive channels.

N.B.A. Bans Stirling For Life; Fined Millions

Los Angeles Clippers owner Donald Stirling was banned for life and fined at least $2.5 million for interactive talk with his girlfriend at the time. She seemed to be bullying Stirling into acquiescing into saying he is racist, yet he said he loved blacks yet didn't want her to bring them to his Clippers games. He said that he had a culture or something to be concerned about. I took that to mean that rich people need to seem morally superior and so he wanted her to remain low-profile and not draw attention to herself with people like Magic Johnson. If one is in the business class and not Hugh Hefner one needs traditionally to seem as square as Bill Gates.

 It is difficult to imagine Donald Stirling in the company of the Puritans so influenced by John Calvin. Even so it is worth recollecting that one of Martin Luther's biggest mistakes was in supporting his friend Phillip of Hesse-The Landgrave's-bigomy. The Landgrave like Frederick the Elector had been very supportive in trying to safely reconcile various German divisions yet the gratitude perhaps went too far.

Albert Einstein-a physical twin of George LeMaitre-a priestly inventor of big bang theory-in making his self-described biggest blunder of adding a cosmological constant to his General Theory of Relativity actual turned out to have been right about that too. Unlike ordinary mortals Einstein was right even when he thought he was wrong.

Well so much for that genuine Stirling error. Evidently the N.B.A. leadership knows that Stirling really meant that his Clipper's games were for white people only and that he didn't want his girlfriend to be seen with blacks even though she is of mixed up race for-herself and for-others because he is a slum lord and so the tape is just good enough for a lifetime ban. At least Pete Rose was supposed top have gambled enough to go to jail.

Now the public can feel safer and recover from the damage Stirling caused with that horrible 9 minute 26 second conversation.

-note; I have no idea about Stirling's slum lord activities. It seems possible that this episode was an effort to get Stirling because of his social history. Even so the big lie is something that traditionally concerns me at the political level. Hitler, holocaust and global warming deniers, Arabs teaching bad stuff about Jews in elementary school books and so forth use the big lie. It would be difficult for an impartial juror with rudiments of language and logic instruction to find much in the recording that Stirling actually deserves such a suspension for.  At the least public and private speech implicitly are different things.

If Sterling isn't racist the broadcast media and N.B.A. are providing an excellent example of corporatism and political correctness in action. It is no wonder that corporate employees make such milk-toast or no political comments and the two parties are the way they are. American corporate employees need to watch everything they say or big brother will herre and demote them.

Will Sanctions Help Russia Detach From Future Dollar Crash?

For more than a decade financial analysts have foreseen the prospect of the crash of the dollar. I wonder if the sanctions on Russia imposed by the administration will help to accelerate the process or if Russia may be better situated to overcome the fiscal mismanagement of D.C. even thought the capable Janet Yeltsin from Wal-Street has taken over the reigns of the federal reserve.

U.S. public debt today is nearly 17.5 trillion dollars. 

Russia may be able to sell it's dollar reserves and develop the ruble as a mid-currency floating it's value on the global stock exchange where investors could buy and sell it though Moscow could print out currency as it liked. The alternatives for Russia might be to buy the Yuan and Euro simultaneously balancing the ruble on a combination of the two.

With a more stable indexed ruble the global financial markets may be able to survive the crash of the possibly over-valued dollar. While Russia is trying to recover the Russian Ukraine following the cold war ending loss signed into being by Boris Yelin it may be able to serve the interest of stabilizing the global currency market.

Donald Sterling Conundrum: Sell Out-Let Clippers Move to Northwest?

The spare basketball team in L.A. owned by an affirmative action language failure plainly should be sold and moved to Boise Idaho to become the N.B.A. Spuds or Mashed.

When Orwellian Ministry of Truth language analysis plainly shows that private language to concubines or whatever isn't appropriate righteous politically correct verbiage fit for T.M.Z. viewers it is time to make the donuts and sell the aloof offshore sailing yacht club to an American city like Boise where potatoes are king.

Even President Obama has weighed in on the topic from somewhere in Malaysia or China or wherever he is keeping tabs on Donald Silverberg from, or whatever his name is.

Sterling's magic johnson troubles with girlfriend and race

After listening to nine minutes of San Diego Clipper's owner Sterling's talk with his girlfriend in which he repeatedly, disgustingly and ingratiatingly says that he loves black people (reminding me of Donald Pleasence in 'Escape From New York' saying 'your the duke') I am not sure that Sterling actually made anything that is a racist comment. With all the who-haw I thought he must have said something about mean flying monkey warriors from the Wizard of Oz with Judy Garland.

Certainly he didn't intend to do anything more than to ask his girlfriend not to 'broadcast'  pictures of herself on Instagram with stars like Magic Johnson who is Afro-American. Instagram could be some sort of Internet hangout I guess-maybe comparable to Twitter. As a philandering old rich white guy that is understandable-why should he want his girlfriend to be a publicity hound drawing attention to herself?

  It seems in the tape that Sterling's girlfriend is doing her best to frame up a racist paradigm. Sterling doesn't seem to have any solid racist content in his interaction-it seems it's mostly about the lady hanging around people of potentially loose morals-Wilt Chamberlain screwed 25,000 women, and Magic Johnson may have used his magic johnson/electrical banana on a few too. It is worth considering that the paradigm of an N.B.A. owner paying millions and millions of dollars to generally black athletes and perhaps sexing up an attractive Hispanic woman is less a matter of the racist on his media plantation chumping the powerless or a person of interest planning a Mengelish psychological takeover of society  than that of a Comdogger paradigm as contrasted with a Commander. In the realm of vice (in this case meaning informal kitch relationships) things can go wrong that are implicitly undignified.

Plainly pro sports is corrupt with salaries that go far beyond their worth to society. Sterling said nothing about watermelons, Speedy Gonzalez, magic jumping beans, the Old Sawannee River or fried chicken, nor anything about quantum mechanics. With the world environment in decay and unemployed college graduates searching to adapt to fast food restaurant work the public building of sports stadiums and narcissistic neurotic sports media codling attention and exorbitant, 1% pay for pro sports stars is disgusting. Naismith invented a prophylaxis against teen-age wasteland game, and that shouldn't draw the top pay in America. Learning honest work should be more profitable for anyone than learning games. Hoops is not productive-it doesn't build anything at all-its a luxury, entertainment game.

People are starving in some parts of India, the Sudan and Bangladesh now and then and global warming is building. Public colleges and Universities should stop paying for athletes to travel anywhere and sports in colleges should just be intramural. Scholarship should be stressed and no scholarships given to sports students.

If old white men want to play their magic johnsons with women besides their wives enhanced with legal dope, viagra and possibly glow in the dark condoms they should not expect it to be risk free. Adultery isn't a policy of safe sex.

Unintended Economic Consequences, Externalities & Narrow Self-Interest

I wanted to write something about unintended consequences and externalities of the pursuit of narrow self-interest in short range goals that sometimes occur. Governments, corporations and even individuals may generate vast and significant consequences unintentionally.

Slavery in the western hemisphere developed because of the narrow self-interest of producers desirous of cheap labor. The externality was the presence and transcendence of the African descendents of slavery in the Americas today-that's a good thing for heirs of Africa yet it is impossible to use that as an excuse for slavery. It is unlikely that Brits, Dutch, Spanish and Portuguese thought that the western hemisphere should have tens of millions of Africans and so used slavery as an opportunity to relocate them.

Cheap labor from Latin America combined with descendents of slaves is also generating the unintended consequence of making American dependents of Europeans a minority. The wealthy seek after the short-term goal of profit without social concern.

The invasion of Europe by Muslim forces of the Ummayad dynasty brought a thousand year war with the west reducing development of Muslim civilization. The counter-productive Muslim effort to assert a planetary theocracy for the prophet of war in submission to Allah has generally reduced the quality of Muslim life and culture. Obama administration effort to be a prophet of homosexual marriage globally may change the Muslim role-unintended consequence.

President Obama is seeking a $10 an hour minimum wage. The unintended consequence would be an accelerated job loss to China. Chinese labor is far cheaper than U.S. labor and will be for some time. Speaker Boehner suggest job training for the unemployed and low wage workers yet it is far cheaper to train Chinese and Indians than Americans-and any jobs that pay well yet can be outsourced to China will be for the next twenty years.

Jobs that cannot be outsourced that are low-tech are filled by illegal aliens and first generation descendents of illegal aliens to a substantial extent. U-6 under-employed Americans are told to get good tech training yet because of the aforementioned reason of outsourcing good jobs and the fact that training is expensive and has no pay while training is going on in some sort of school that prospect is dubious. One can have tech college and academic college degrees and get no work. The there is also the racial and cultural thing-it is tough to get work in Hispanic majority areas if one isn't Hispanic.

Unintended consequences abound in U.S. foreign policy. The Syrian civil war brought more than a 100,000 casualties and the Obama administration supported it in order to remove Bashir Assad and create a democracy. Reasonable people knew that culturally a religious war in that area is a fight to the death and difficult to extinguish. It may be even more difficult to get those people to live together peaceably with a democratic environment. Not even the U.S. Congress is competent on non-partisan development of environmental conservation, full employment and zero illegal alien immigration.

Unintended consequences are presently disregarded in much economic planning. Planning in engineering is regarded as necessary yet in economics it is considered Utopian or illusory. In the age of fracture it is better regarded perhaps by the administration to be a doper driving a car like millions of others without interest in high-speed non-fossil fuel mass transit with local low-impact electronic shuttling through restored wilderness.

An unintended consequence of the contemporary economic practices is the destruction of ecospheric diversity and health. None really intend to destroy it or to create global warming yet they do individually and collectively. President Obama and some congressmen may not intend to harm the Russian and world economic or renew a cold war with Russia over the Ukraine conundrum yet they may. Russia has celebrated it's 1000^th anniversary of growing from Kievian Rus and the President is willing to stipulate that Russia has had some influence in the Ukraine...swell.

Queer behavior may be a right Americans have among themselves, yet it is questionable that queer behavior should reason special legal treatment or be allowed to usurp marriage between sexes as an institution for procreation. It is important to protect the civil rights of all Americans and for Americans to have privacy without social approbation for what they do that isn't illegal in private. It is reasonable to criticize the political codification of queer behavior with laws creating legal fictions for the public to submit to. The unintended consequences of building a queer behavior hegemony socially for the U.S.A. might be anticipated.

Probably there are unintended consequences of Obamacare besides those that have already occurred. It would have been better just to expand the V.A. and community homeless and poor persons clinics networks synthesizing them with synergistic help to serve the uninsured and broke. Obamacare let's the poor of 30 states go without medical or dental coverage. Probably the President didn't intend that.

When the corporate man takes his barbecue holiday to the dry rural forest on a windy weekend and enjoys the prime rib and beer with a hint of biscuit and leaves sparks that start a vast right forest fire a day after he has returned to the city it was an unintended consequence. Even Mrs. O'Leary wasn't entirely aware of the consequence of milking her cow after dark.

Poor Foreign and Domestic Policy Choices Since End of Reagan Era

President Ronald Reagan was an optimist with faith in God. Though his policies wouldn't fit contemporary America his attitude would. Faith and optimism is better that the sardonic greed prevalent in the U.S.A. today.

American political leadership has made a succession of poor foreign and domestic policy choices since the end of the Reagan administration. Two and a half decades of maladroit political leadership has had a substantially deleterious effect upon the status of the United States. The 17 trillion dollar public debt is just one of numerous problems resulting from the failing of Presidential and Congressional leadership. Sadly almost nothing can be done to fix it. There isn't a snowball's chance in hell that competent Presidential leadership will arise yet its worth considering a few of the problems anyway.

The obvious choice to prosecute numerous foreign wars against 2^nd world nations for the benefit of corporate contractors instead of finding alternative solutions to serious security issues has brought trillions of dollars of debt and medical obligations. There are far more terrorists in the middle east and North Africa now than before any of the wars or support for rebellions. Afghanistan has been given the best military and intelligence training in the world and after the U.S. forces leave that education probably will be used by terrorists. The U.S. training was immeasurably better than Bin Ladin's Al Qaeda school. Afghanistan may not be as peaceful as Pakistan in the future. The Taliban doesn't need to rule Afghanistan order to receive support for jihad activity.

The continued U.S. reliance on fossil fuels has brought a leadership failure in world environment and technological renewal infrastructure and development of new ways to live on the planet for second and third worlders. Public education has mass produced unrealistic training and job expectations for a generation of Americans without good job prospects as Americans have been political degraded to the same level as the second world employed by global corporations. U.S. politicians of both parties are loyal to globalism rather than Americanism. The broadcast media is owned by global corporations and feed the nation circumstantially retarded programming in support of bad policy.

The corruption of Wall Street, banking and e-trading along wit networking developed some of the worst concentrated wealth and reduction of real free trade in U.S. history. The nation has moved toward an inertial age of fracture that is difficult to change. The health of the national and global ecosphere decline, independence from global networking and vast bureaucracies public and private is difficult etc. Just a few comments here, it would take to much time to go into detail or even list the failure of America to use good sense in foreign and domestic politics and adapt through design to ecologically renewable low-entropy yet high quality economics with actual democracy.
