Will Weaponized AI Evolve to Kill Civilians Too?

One wonders if weaponized artificial intelligence won't someday short-circuit itself into attacking human civil society. It could happen unless artificial intelligence is always made with a law degree and legal sensibility concerning the rules of war (joking). Artificial intelligence made to command and control ordinance to kill human combatants, and they are difficult to identify sometimes in irregular wars of today, may be instructed or find their own way to kill the innocent (well, if they voted for Hillary perhaps not so innocent).

 Weapons are too easy to invent. If people were so creative with ecological zoning and tech to conserve habitat for wildlife and humans it would be better. There are innumerable ways to air-drop anti-tank munitions with A.I. able to attack tanks, and to camouflage them. i.e. They could look like dead animals then produce a rocket as a tank becomes visible in its cold dead eyes. Revenge of the road killed. Dissolving parachutes could place hover-drone warheads disguised as cow pies. etc. ad nauseum. One must stipulate that the video is better than Star Wars; Attack of the Clones.

While the A.I. in the anti-tank systems can be pretty stupid, weapons designers aren't likely to be content with stupid artificial intelligence systems and inevitably will want their A.I. creations to be smarter than the average and much smarter than the enemy artificial intelligence. The United States has built a super-computer that is the biggest in the world; more than twice the size of the Chinese former world record holder, yet is that smart enough? Is it used a little bit for out-thinking the enemy in tactical situations (hen winning is peace and prosperity all around with a recovering ecosphere?)

Will artificial intelligence military systems given enough intelligence to make a talking rabbit able to trick humans into believing it voted for Trump, will the A.I. become some sort of peace nik with the belief that war is stupid?

Pyrrhonism and John Locke; Nominal and Real Essences

 There are best explanations to particular questions. Maybe C.S. Pierce's pragmaticism works for mathematics too. What if Pythagoras (the old round Earth theorist) and Euclid had been Pyrrhonists and quailed from finding the right answer because no rational criteria can exist for regarding anything as best or more than a prejudice? Skepticism has it's uses. It should remain until one has certain so far as possible. For example there aren't many scientific skeptics of Darwinian theory these days though it would be wrong to not recognize that it is a nominal explanation and has deeper, transcending possibilities farther on.

Whether or not  Locke was a Pyrrhonist is a very interesting question and issues that lead one to consider the relation of real and nominal essences in a quantum mechanics, or even Bohm-Debrolgian or Everettic context (of monism).

How can one ultimately differentiate monism from pluralism, and is pluralism necessarily temporal and phenomenal? Must one see deeper into any pluralist physics to comprehend a monism or unified field?

Is nominalism all that is possible for understanding things in-themselves, while realism and monism are too deep in a Kantian sort of noumenal for-itself behind the glass, darkly?

I suppose a Pyrrhonist could be placed with those of the Copenhagen Interpretation where the observer collapses the waveform quanta of the in-itself to make it a being-for-others.

Locke's apparent preference for not looking farther than the nominal, or sense data, doesn't work so well with modern physics that does go farther. It may be that there is an infinite line or protocol of nominal essences that one may go through with investigation to deeper, new understanding of the construction of quanta, fields, space and time.

Sartre pointed out that only God could have the point of view of the other at the same time as one's own. That relation may be instructive for comprehending the limit of observing nominal and real essences.

How Does Pres Trump Rate on A-Kissing Compared to Other Presidents?

In recent times the Democrat Party and Washington insiders seems to want a reliable toady-figure yes-man who will serve the inside-the-beltway establishment first and foremost and global leaders a close second. He or she is expected to be a bureaucrat without any original ideas and one whom never ever makes waves. Neither is the fellow really supposed to reform anything or change anything to a more effective government delivery of programs.

The President is supposed to be a media darling who loves celebrities and commemorative events. He or she is supposed to be a hollow individual dominated by Hollywood and Harvard. The one percent that own everything are supposed to approve of his or her service to them. It is unthinkable that the President should raise taxes on the most rich, reform social security and welfare for means testing, balance the federal budget, change environmental zoning laws and national mass transportation or secure the borders. That's all fine until the economy collapses.

President Trump at least breaks a few of those onerous traditions and expectations, though he is not too hot on ecological economics. At least he doesn't spend time thinking about how to get the approval of the Fortune 500 CEO kock-suckers that like everything more corrupt than it is.

N.A.S.A. Should Start Sending Parts to Future Moon Base-Climber's Hut

Like any frontier venture (or climbing very tall mountains) it can be useful to cache supplies at distant places. N.A.S.A. could view the moon base as a climber’s hut to start with and send building modules, tools and supplies up on cheap as possible rockets now and then.

Over time the more supplies one has to work with the greater are the options and support for a variety of activities. Even the ISS could become a parts warehouse for a moon base.

Instead of sending old satellites to burn up in the Earth atmosphere there should be a way to send the metal to the moon base. Even good engineers need parts to innovate things.

After the Puerto Rico hurricane disasters were somewhat slow to experience FEMA relief (a deserved criticism or not isn't entirely certain) it became plain that FEMA could use occasional field training exercises for management and support teams. The volcanic eruption and disaster in Guatemala is a good opportunity for the FEMA team to establish the ad hoc political and equipment interactions required for swift reaction time in an effective way to relief victims.

President Trump could believe that those viewing his personal twitter line shouldn't be trolls or scum. In that he is possibly wrong. Jesus came to save the lost and sinners and the President has a similar obligation to convert he damned to some kind of reformed Republican Party if that were to ever exist. Democrat siding judges have said the President cannot block trolls or deny his tweeting to Russians or anyone else on the planet. It is kind of scary to learn that a federal judge is in de facto collusion with Russian agents hot to get the latest Presidential tweet.

 Skeptics believe the President wants to deny his political foes the opportunity to receive his sage commentary or reply in some forum or other with abusive, cruel, irrelevant and silly non-nonsensical rejoinders. Maybe its nothing like that. Hillary Clinton let anyone with a little hacking skill have access to her Internet communications while Secretary of State so it is reasonable to expect the President's private twitter line to be available to any sort of riff-gaff that can get someone to read the twitter feed for him or her and translate it down into simpler language.

 If I had a twitter account I definitely would read the President's tweets unless added to the do no read list. The President probably should have the T.S.A. make a do not twitter feed list when its done with the monthly do not fly list to help safeguard the nation.

Though Glen Frey died in 2015 it is possible that the Eagles rock band would reunite to play a couple of their hit songs from the 1970s (with a guest to take Glen Frey's place) on the White House lawn on the 4th of July.

Microsoft Begins War on Open Source (i.e. Linux) Operating Systems

Microsoft apparently has resumed it's monopoly seeking ways and is buying a large piece of the open source software developer platform Github. People hate windows not because its a commercial rather than free operating system, The problem with windows is that its like telemarketers dominating your telephone line. That just is not an acceptable condition for adults that want to use a computer without being controlled by the computer and compelled to serve all of the commercial Microsoft related products that appear every time its used.

Microsoft will want to eliminate or suborn all of the working open source (free) operating systems that actually work for millions of people efficiently and wrench the entire idea of free computer operating systems that work effectively. That isn't good for Americans and anyone else that likes to get work done on a computer without issues arising. Microsoft would rather tariff everyone and get in the way if it can than to allow computers to work like a utility without problems.
