Israel's Anti-Nuclear Attack and the Global Nuclear Strategy Balance

 While the Ukraine war may be evolving toward and end in the next three months Israel’s attack on Iran in the campaign to destroy Iran’s nuclear development program has changed global strategic nuclear war strategies and made the mad balance of nuclear weapons restraint a little more precarious.

Israel had little choice about trying to destroy Iran’s nuclear enrichment facilities located in secure industrial bunkers more than 90 meters underground. The U.S.A. has such bunker busting bombs and probably has given Israel a few to attack Iran’s nuclear development sites with. There was a 2.5 Richter scale earthquake at one of them yesterday.

There was talk about using small nuclear weapons to bust up very deep underground bunkers that couldn’t be reached with conventional explosives. I don’t know off-hand if such weapons were made- perhaps an improvised tactical nuclear weapon was adapted for the mission. I think it probably won’t be used this round even so.

Pakistan has said it will nuke Israel if Israel nukes Iran. It is good to know that quasi ally has finally put it’s true cards on the table- it is ultimately an enemy of Israel. If there is a Pakistan nuclear war someday, or one involving India vs China and Pakistan, it is helpful to know that Israel might need to intervene on India’s side in order to preempt the attack on Israel as an opportunistic and incidental shot in the major regional nuclear conflict.

Where is Russia in all of this? Russia is winning in Ukraine of course. It upgraded Iran’s Shahid drones to a better Russian enhanced version. While the U.S. may send a stealth bomber to drop bunker busters on Iran or not, Russia will not want to intervene on Iran’s behalf to help its ally much and invoke a wider conflict that would expand the Iran ward into a World War Three situation unifying Ukraine-Iran-Pakistan, India and China in a broad conflict front that would obviously swiftly bring Europe, the U.S.A. and the rest of the world into a complex nuclear exchange.

Russia has no interest in Iran possessing a nuclear weapon and could have sold it some if it did. Neither does China or even Pakistan with its antipathetic Sunni sectarianism vs the Iranian Shi’a especially desire to have Iran join it as a nuclear weapons owning state. No one really wants Iran to have nuclear weapons beside select Iranians. The west believes Iran with nuclear weapons would use them on Israel.

China wants to de frappe western encroachment as it exerts its economic and military regional muscles. It may feel that it is globally strong enough to become the world’s major economic power, yet it also has pragmatists who realize the conditionality of modern economies that exist in a precarious global position of shared and extended networking interacting with all of the world’s resources and trading exchanges. China does not actually need Taiwan for anything except friendly trade without becoming any sort of military base for hypothetical western attacks in the heartland. Taiwan is China’s Cuba. So long as nuclear weapons aren’t brought to Taiwan as Khrushchev once sought to do in Cuba, China can live peacefully and profitable with Taiwan as an independent yet Canada close to the U.S.A. trading partner.

Fundamentally nothing much has changed in the global strategic nuclear balance. The major players still need friendly global trade and want to eschew nuclear conflicts that bring everything down. Russia wants it’s western frontage on Europe to be safe and to resume normal trade relations without sanctions. The United State should want full normalized trade with Russia and an end to the Ukraine war that is lasting. That needs to happen within 3 or 4 months. To continue the war much farther will tend to make Russian territorial gains somewhat counter-productive for various reasons as the tactical window of its present method of battle operations on a conventional tensor is likely to close with latent development of counter-methodologies arising below the surface.

Russian reconquest of its Ukraine lands will stop with recover of the majority of Ukraine land east of the Dnepr River. President Trump will end sanctions and China and Russia will assist Iran in rebuilding it’s damaged infrastructure. The U.S., Russia and China will tend to be old frenemies from W.W. II loosely pursuing profitable trade and reduced nuclear tensions while certain second tier nuclear armed states and aspiring ones will rattle sabers; even ones made of wood.

Remembering the Reagans, etc

 I used to spend a fair piece of time boating in S.E. Alaska. I saw several interesting vessels- one a stern steered boat with a large oar for a rudder, the sailing ship Lady Washington etc. I also saw former President Reagan's yacht near Wrangell as it passed on the way to town. I will recount that experience after mentioning briefly a pair of experiences myself- one on a skiff, to leave a chronological note.

For a few years when it was 32 my feet would turn black from cyanotic blood and I restored circulation by taking a hot shower-then the skin would turn back to pink or flesh color from a line above my ankle moving down eventually to my toes. It wasn't frostbite- it was something like trenchfoot that did it. I spent a day walking through deep water snow and creeks in combat boots. Comparable to keeping my feet in a bucket of ice and slushy water for a day. A couple days later they were swollen up like balloons and I had to get extra wide tennis shoes sizes to big for temporary use. I reinjured them in 2018 while bringing a skiff down from Juneau in October and nearly drowned crossing Taku Inlet. My boots had a leak and they stayed cold and wet for days. Then I returned to the shed and it was like my feet were on fire and hell for a week. I got snowed in and couldn't leave to go to a clinic in town. I made it eventually and got a drug that makes the brain not feel pain. My feet were nearly all recovered before that last injury.

Sometime around the Republican National convention of 1992 Ronald and Nancy Reagan yachted up the inside passage and put in at Wrangell.

Ronald Reagan like seemed a tool of God, a man of peace and Christian- wise as a serpent yet gentle as a dove in a political ecosphere of vipers, and yet he seemed to be fading and looked under the weather. Nancy was on his arm and seemed healthy enough and to be reinforcing him as they walked along the sidewalk with a small entourage. Nancy was also an actress.

Ron looked at me as I was taking my last $100 from the bank when he walked past outside the bank window. He was wearing a wool sweater he had bought at Hickok's- a clothing store that opened shortly before his visit and closed not long after the Reagans left Wrangell. I had served as a reservist mostly for 6 years of his administration and that changed the way I looked at things perhaps. Reagan was taking heat for the Iran contra connection with Oliver North at the time and was perhaps getting away from the media spotlight in Alaska on a yachting sojourn. I thought I would help him out so I wrote an letter to an editor asking if Reagan had secretly been a communist -really counter-intuitive to what the public thought he had been. The premise was that he had been a Democrat and admired Franklin D Roosevelt when a young guy, and added several trillion dollars to the national debt as President (the debt excusable as a one-time thing in order to end the Cold War- no subsequent President should have followed that deficit spending example).

Shortly after that it was announced that he had Alzheimers and went into seclusion for the remainder of his days. I worked for a temporary agency at a construction site years later with a guy for a day that looked like Reagan's twin brother; he was a bricklayer. Nice guy. Interesting times. Maybe the Reagans used their acting skills to get some of their political work done.

Reagan was somewhat transparent- there is a lot of biographical stuff written about him. I think Nancy not so much- well I haven't read that. At that level the public persona needs to coincide with the private. Interesting thing I read that was somewhat biographical was a history by an insider of how Reagan de-escalated nuclear missile stocks with the Soviets. He was the only one who thought about that much in his administration- his goal was to eliminate all nuclear weapons. Everyone else in the government; and this continued into the start of the Bush administration, was aboard the traditional hawkish point of view. 

Reagan was a kind of voice crying in the wilderness in his own way and Gorbachev met him halfway. I suppose there is a secret history of Mikhail and his philosopher wife Reza that hasn't been written and never will be. I suspect that the Gorbachev's were the tip of an iceberg of high level insiders that wanted to end communism in Russia yet had to be rather careful covert and indirect to get that done because traditional, conservative communists would not tolerate that movement toward liberalization directly.

Presidents may have a lot of secret communications, methods and means perhaps unknown to history. Heck, I thought I saw Bill Clinton and Monica Lewinsky in a ferry terminal parking lot in Juneau in 1994 I believe it was. She had on a fishnet sweater kind of thing over a t-shirt and asked if I had change for a dollar so she could use a pay phone to call a taxi- She said 'I've got to get Randy home'. Bill was dressed casually like a regular grunge Alaskan, yet wearing a very large gold star like a sheriff badge some place down south that no one in Juneau wears anything vaguely resembling it, and appeared to be drunkish. I did see Sean Connery at the Royal Sonesta Hotel in New Orleans at 2 in the morning getting out of a limousine in the parking garage where I was cleaning the gutter as a temporary over night worker.

Trump's Big Beautiful Bill is Reaganomics v 5.0

 The BB Bill seems like pork served with Reaganomics that was Lafferian and just produced deficits. Reaganomics helped win the Cold War yet it should have been a one-off never repeated, budget plan.  Keynes’ invented deficit spending to pump prime an economy out of recession- it wasn’t intended to be a permanent economic policy of just having deficits and tax cuts to concentrate wealth and bankrupt a government. 

Musk has a more realistic, David Stockman sort of approach without the B.S. about how running deficits produces economic growth, increased revenue and a fair and balanced budget. Cutting taxes for the rich simply concentrates wealth, and the U.S. distribution of wealth has already equaled that of Mexico... The 1% are globalists and invest wherever they can make more profit internationally.

Is Trump Channeling Biden in Support of Zelensky?

 President Trump seems to be buying into the crazy, reckless lunacy of the Ukraine war that Europe wants wholeheartedly it seems. They seem dedicated to bring about the worst-case scenario of nuclear war or the primary alternative of some new kind of biological chemical synthetic agent designed with the new technology to attack specific human genes and shut down life. It is not unlikely that secret labs have advanced such technologies and the weapons to release them into distant adversarial populations. If pressed enough, Russia may exploit last resort weapons.

The west is still on the pathological notion that the Ukraine war is another Afghanistan or Vietnam that carries no great implicit risk to nations sponsoring the war. Europe with its new no W.W. 2 generation of leadership and fully recovered from that devastation combined with the post-Soviet formation of the E.U. is feeling like spring colts that seem the future of conflict as nothing too risky- just good play especially with the U.S.A. footing much of the bill, West Ukraine President Zelensky has shattered the 2010 strategic bomber pact between Russia and the United States and is playing Donald Trump like a fiddle. President Trump seems , respectfully, like a recalcitrant organ grinding monkey who will come around when Yermak, Zelensky or the European community pull his string.

The sole way to end the conflict available now is to make Zelensky and his people persona non grata in the United States and to just recognize the Russia eastern provinces of Ukraine so long as they do not extend the areas beyond what they presently have stated as where they are willing to stop.

There is no question that idiots of the U.S. Government like Sen Lindsey Graham will press for war until the last drop of blood can be wring out of Ukrainians and Russians, For some not too great piece of real estate the morons of Europe and the U.S. Government would risk the end of civilization. Ukraine Leveraged 2010 New Start Treaty to Destroy Strategic Bombers Kept in the Open

 Apparently the United States and Russia signed an agreement in 2010 to keep their strategic bombers in the open where they can be seen by satellites in order to help prevent nuclear war. The Ukraine attack deep inside Russia with drones snuck near those bases where the aircraft were kept (the U.S. keeps B-52s in a similar open configuration apparently now vulnerable to drone attack) that destroyed 40 strategic aircraft was an extreme violation of that treaty in regard to its value for avoiding global thermonuclear war.

Plainly the terrorist action couldn’t have been accomplished without the US-Russia treaty in place that kept the bombers out in the open for the world to see. It was a terrorist action because it violated a necessary global security configuration to prevent nuclear conflict, bringing the world a step closer to self-destruction. 

 Russia will need to abrogate the treaty directly, if it hasn’t already, since it is useful for treachery rather than security and peace. Ukraine unilaterally terminated an American-Russian nuclear peace treaty agreement, and the U.S. should terminate Ukraine as any sort of quasi-ally entity.

Obviously the action to end the 2010 New Start Treaty that kept nuclear capable bombers out in the open was successful and killed the treaty. That action probably had support from Germany and France. If the U.S. military was involved, or even Starlink telephones, it makes the United States’ integrity for treaties defunct as well; Ukraine perpetrated serious harm to the reputation and security of the United States. If President Trump knew in advance of the attack, then he too is guilty of violating a treaty signed by the U.S. Congress in collusion with Zelensky. "The United States and Russia signed the New START Treaty on April 8, 2010. After more than 20 hearings, the U.S. Senate gave its advice and consent to ratification on December 22, 2010, by a vote of 71-26."President Trump has harmed the security of the United States as an accomplice to the attack. Such jackassery in government doesn't work. it is something like a high crime rather than a misdemeanor.

Zelenski or maybe Fred Merz decided to break the treaty between Russia and the U.S.A. It wasn't a N.A.T.O. treaty . The loss of U.S. security was enabled by continuing American support for Ukraine. It made the U.S. government seem more like a political bimbo for Europe.

President Trump should cancel all relationships to Ukraine straightaway and recognize Russian land control in East Ukraine as permanent, now, in order to discourage Ukrainian perfidy in the future. Ukraine is a dangerous, corrupt, rotten little nation dragging the U.S.A. along with it towards nuclear hell and before that, economic minimalism with Russia and BRIC nations. Stop the idiot relationship President Trump.

Dwarf Planets; A New Start

A new dwarf planet was discovered recently.  The discovery of those new small planets in the Oort Cloud and beyond is a prompt for new science fiction books. It is interesting to read about the great time it takes for even the new one to make one orbit around the sun- 23,000 years, because it travels so far out into space. Those dwarf planets (the new one is about 700 miles in diameter) are remote places people may live one day. 

Maybe there is a way to fit those neat clumps into poetry and prose. I should have a theme for each poetry collection, yet my time for thinking about that is generally minimal. I have packaged them in chronological order unfortunately. Title selection was a summary of what the bulk of the poems were. For instance; Alexander Archipelago Transition Space was the title of one. It was a reference to  the passing of  Alexander Solzhenitsyn and to the Alexander Archipelago that is the name for all of the thousand islands, more or less, of S.E. Alaska where I write a lot. About the dwarf planets. I haven’t thought about it much. There are many ways to utilize them in plotting. 

One might for example, build a life-size time capsule upon some of those erratics to outlive the self-destruction of the Earth by the population warring upon itself.  Each of the planets could have a different kind of package to try to restart human life on Earth after it destroyed itself. The attempts to get life restarted could go on for a billion years. When the orbital perihelion brought a dwarf world closest to the sun and Earth the miracle grow package would fly over to Earth and give it a try to restart.

A friend and I were discussing a poem about the phenomenal Universe and my effort to describe an ungrounded point of view beyond the linear physics paradigm.

“It’s actually refreshing to hear someone aiming for depth over trend. I’d love to see how you shape those “alternative phenomenal Universe clumps” feels like you’re onto something that could challenge and expand a reader’s perception. Have you sketched out any characters or threads yet, or is it still in the idea stage?”

It’s just an idea. I like to collect ideas for a few years for prompts when writing that novel in an isolated rush of around the clock timing

I am working on that phenomenal universe- an undefined, borderless existence something like a dream- without any grounding at all, as a concept since the last poem I wrote as a placeholder for the idea. I am trying to find a way to express the concept.

There are several recent ideas about quantum mechanics and cosmology involving the wavefunction and superposition- even retro-causality that may be applied to the paradox of a determined though indeterminate phenomenon of being. It isn’t a usual unified field theoretical approach with a causal order of events leading to ‘it all started because of quantum uncertainty and entanglement in a Higgs Field’ point of view. It is instead something more like asking a question of what God had in mind for making such an enigmatic creation, and how does He do that? I suppose it is like wondering how the magician does his tricks.

You’re not putting too many ideas in …..it’s a universe you’re painting, and universes aren’t tidy. The fusion of environmental critique, metaphysical wonder, and the quiet indictment of human choices feels necessary. It’s dense, yes, but that density carries weight. It’s a poem you sit with ,not one you rush through.

I can see how you’re circling the edges of that “phenomenal universe” idea. You’re already giving it shape, even if it’s still elusive. Have you considered pulling a few of the themes out and expanding them into connected pieces….a series orbiting around the same idea from different angles?”

I suppose that is a process I tend to work in- developing an idea and fusing more into it synthetically as I read or encounter more, new scientific or theological concepts- emergent. Because of my lifestyle I also tend to leave them off as I need work on other things, often of a more mundane nature such as stocking shelves. One can have an intellectual composition equivalent of The Winchester Mansion with stairs leading to nowhere and resuming in some strange locale like a drawing by Malcom Escher.

except over space and time
where tectonics plates and distant shores
opened and closed like an accordion
played by a kangaroo

Variations on a crustal wave
mountains rising, falling, subsided and subducted
coated by vegetation
slathered with sunrises and settings
lives by the billions misled
willingly to wars like surface tempests
wherein biologicals strive and sometimes die

Wild oceans teaming with life

stars would notice

Western Leadership May Always Be Recalcitrant About Truthful Peace Negotiations for Ukraine

 President Trump needs to resist calls from war mongers to place sanctions on Russia or restore weapons supplies to Ukraine.  My opinion for years was that Russia should share Ukraine with the Western government of Ukraine, dividing the country roughly along the Dnepr. So far Russia has failed to accomplish that goal while the west has been pure war mongering full-war ahead oriented toward Eastern military movement.

Russia will not capitulate to attack;they took a beating from the Nazis and kept on ticking like Duracell batteries until they reached Berlin. President Putin has more modest goals, and capturing land that rightly should belong to Russia along the East Bank of the Dnepr is probably so far as that goes. The sooner Russia accomplishes that objective the sooner the war can end. No amount of PR grandstanding or conniving and levering will get that done.

The West seems to be happy itself to continue the war, so long as the U.S.A. and Russia pay for it. President Putin is not crazy to resist having modern Russia be converted into a rump state intimidated by the West and its queer values that concentrate wealth to global elites while letting the global ecosphere decay. President Trump may be drowning in cries from Western leaders to throw more bombs and missiles into the pot of Ukraine, and that would be hard to hear. He may have no supportive international allies that share a rational point of view on the conflict with him. 

If the west agrees to simple terms after the Russians accomplish primary goals with Ukraine and N.A.T.O. President Putin should sign off on peace readily I would think. The West needs to demilitarize Ukraine except for an adequate self defense force de frappe, eliminate all sanctions, demands for reparations etc and recognize full Russian sovereignty over it's occupied lands of East Ukraine.

Most likely the West will always be disingenuous with Ukraine negotiations as they want simply to own everything in it and perhaps the entire world too. hey will assure the worst possible outcome short of nuclear war and won't sue for peace until they feel threatened by Russian encroachment. It isn't that Europeans can't fight- they can, its just that few are stupid enough to fight an unnecessary, unprofitable war except with other countries lives and treasure. Becoming recondite and truthful is something one cannot expect. P.R. B.S. always follows the clownish negotiating positions they put forward publicly. That is a problem that people that believe they have absolute power and have no reason to make concessions of an sort are bound to have.

The Big Beautiful Boondoggle- Trump Trends

 President Trump has done a good job working many things. It is useful at this point to evaluate a few positions that seem to be causing him trouble.

One is the Bug Beautiful Tax Cut bill that would add 3.8 trillion dollars to national public debt. That definitely is the wrong way to go. It is a big budget busting boondoggle. It isn’t even remotely an ecologically sustainable approach either. President Trump should restore energy credits for non greenhouse gas emitting technologies or at least pursue new ways to reduce greenhouse gassing from the U.S.A. although that seems beyond his capability.

The leaders of both parties don't know what austerity is. The mind set of the prosperous isn't capable of recognizing that the present way of economics is environmentally unsustainable. The system cannot balance a budget and eliminate public debt even by undermining the security of the poor since they haven't got much to take away as it is. Pioneers of the nation could face tough challenges in economics- they had no choice of avoiding them, The trick is to be able to have that pioneer mind set while prosperous and to leverage that prosperity to jump from a melting iceberg form of economic drifting south onto one going in a different direction. Escalating competence in environmental economics may be a talent the prosperous aren't capable that frontiersmen found easy in the foundation of the nation.

Obamacare should be repealed and a national health care system for the poor and lower middle class created with direct provisioning of service by federal employees, The prosperous would be excluded. This really is the cheapest and most humanitarian approach.

Reaganomics had the fatal flaw of creating massive public debt, it was a good way to end the Cold War yet a stupid government always brings those sorts of things back to life. The Zombie war in Ukraine is a result of Clinton era dumb and dumber Russia policy designs.

Forty trillion dollars of public debt is just morally and practically dumb and unsupportable. The war in Ukraine can be wrapped up if President Trump recognizes those Russian free state annexations of the East Bank of the Dnepr, ends sanctions n Russia, and assures neutrality of west Ukraine so far as to make it a non-military threat to Russia. President Trump seems to be willing to kick the can down the road on that however, as he is with his Big Beautiful Boondoggle bill.

Epicureans and Stoics Had Beliefs- True or Not

 Epicureans and Stoics were both believers in a god or gods. Stoics believed in a divine principle or Logos and Epicureans leaned toward an identity as Deists. The actual beliefs of ancient Greek philosophic schools are different from those of modernity generally. Some of the ancients would be closer to Spinoza paradigmatically. They tended toward regarding god as a divine principle or power in back of everything, if they weren't polytheists. There isn't much of a relationship, if any, between those ancient schools and modern people of faith or of those that aren't. There are no simple answers in the field. One may of course compare and contrast ideas in a secular sense, phenomenally. That too generates synthetic ideas for-oneself and not necessarily an objective sense of what is true concerning various kinds of faith.

Love and Sacrifice- The Question of When Does it Count

 What if a man make a sacrifice for the wrong reasons, or fails to make a sacrifice when he should if he were virtuous- is anyone counting in eternity? That seems to be the question at the heart of love and sacrifice, although one may simply choose to give up their life entirely for secular reasons.

Someone asked about love and what can be learned from it. I shouldn't have replied to the question like it was the essay portion of an exam. I might have written more about love and honor, judgment and social reality. It is needful to express one's love in person. I of course have thought about sacrifice in many forms from that of Christ to war and wondered if everyone besides Christ, who was acting for God, made sacrifices that were generally meaningful. Everything is complex socially speaking. It is far worse than  that game where one persons has a message and they pass it down a line of people and at the end it is changed from the original. Sociology researches such issues, as do mathematics and physics, about the number of relations between individuals that are possible- in a world with 8 billion plus people there is so very much fragmented, distorted, misunderstood and lost information that it makes developing optimal political course very rare. Actually Gemini said there are 32 trillion possible relations among 8 billion people... more than I could keep track of.

On a personal level the most meaningful thing I was told counting as advice was from a man who had been a pallbearer of General Patton whom I was painting for. He said; "Don't make anyone's life more difficult; they all have their own battle to face". I once knew a lady with a tattoo on her arm from Auschwitz; that was the best advice I ever saw.

 I will tell you how to make bannock (bread). It is cowboy bread and super easy. Good to know for emergencies. It actually works great over an open fire in a heavy iron skillet. Get a 5 gallon paint bucket and lid and fill it full with a twenty pound bag of flour. As you are filling it mix a can of Clabber Girl baking power in with the flour and mix it up well- then it is ready and stores fine for months. When you want bread take some of the flour mixture from the bucket and add cold water mixing it together until you have a ball of bread dough. Flatten it out to fill an entire frying pan about an inch  and a half thick. Grease the frying pan with vegetable oil and heat the bread slowly. You can flip the bread like a pancake if you are skillful. Brown both sides of the bread and make sure the center is cooked too. Never cut bannock; instead break it. I used to cut it horizontally and fill with tuna or meat from a can and whatever sauce I had- or jelly or ketchup. Instant bread, low fat and good. The five pound bucket provides enough bread for the better part of a month. If you add some Krusteaz instant blueberry pancake mix to the five gallon bucket the bread turns out somewhat like a giant blueberry muffin.

It isn't always easy for workers rotating stock to know when it expires... Customers to aren't always aware of the freshness of merchandise and it would save much time if a glance provided as much information as a check of small print on each product for shelf stockers to see if some stock needs to be rotated or taken down.

Alternatively there might just be a simple standard colored code different for each month of the year manufacturers could place in a small round sticker on each item sent to grocers so there is at least approximations of an expiration date.

 An interesting story by Wired reviewing research investigations comparing the difference structurally between human, bird and octopus brains to achieve intelligence brought me to consider that quantum super-position could be structured physically, spatially in a comparable unconventional configuration than is usually regarded through quantum mathematical and dimensional extrapolations to account for the apparent faster than light phenomenon.

I imagined various spherical dimension continua containing the entire Universe wherein time is discrete and local throughout, and within the shell is another, smaller sphere containing the entangled phenomena that seems to observation to be the apparent Universe humans inhabit. Quantum activity from the inner sphere would be contained and reflected by the outer sphere as super-positions faster-than-light, because of the transcendence of time locality brought into effect by the entanglement.

A different kind of brain structure that processes thought from a core to a structured, integral surrounding sphere an infinite number of times- as a kind of all possible locations method before collapse of a wave-function into a single thought might get more bang for the buck from minimalist structures.

I have a lot of ideas about criteria for possible structures of the phenomenon bouncing around in my thought to illustrate the point that I haven't the time to pursue, so think for yourself how the Universe might work.

Make Air Force One Better in Hostile Skies

 The donation by Qatar of a 400 million dollar luxury jet to President Trump that he plans to retrofit and use as Air Force One is a useful way to make an upgrade of the older personal aircraft used by Presidents to get about the world. Democrats say its a national security threat, perhaps because they had the old Air Force Ones wired for sound and video and will no longer be able to surveil President Trump on a new aircraft.

In the modern world of stealth drones and high speed micro attack vectors the flying whale mega-jet sort of Air Force One may be a tempting target for new vectors that can disregard electronic, ir and other counter-measures to thwart conventional anti-aircraft missiles. A President probably should have a tougher aircraft capable basically of persisting to exist for a while in an aerial war environment. A retrofitted B-1 bomber would be somewhat Spartan and eschew cocktails and the press. If there was a larger, stealth air vehicle for the President of the United States that would be better. That would require a new design and production though. Possibly a manufacture of five aircraft in a one-off phenomenon would be adequate until the next generation. If the stealth aircraft were able to take off and land like a Harrier as a VSTOL that would be even better.

-an explanation of the poem above-  It is perhaps, circumstantial ontology. A philosophical paradigm of the circumstance of being. I was influenced by reading James Lovelock's book 'The Final Warning'. The discoverer of the ozone hole, Lovelock and Margulis coined the Gaia hypothesis. Lovelock said, about ten or twenty years ago that humanity would last only 200 years before the world becomes uninhabitable with global heating- hence my reference to ostriches. The commitment to take upon itself the Herculean task of  correcting the approaching environmental disaster created by 8 billion people is something humanity hasn't been able to face up to, and is absent. Regeneration is a Christian term about salvation and spiritual renewal from the condition of being spiritually dead. Humanity needs a political regeneration too in order to survive if Lovelock is right.

 I watched a pair of good videos on different yet juxtaposed topics today concerning spirit. One is by Sabine Hossenfelder- a physicist, on cosmological teleology. In a physical cosmology paradigm teleology is the idea that the Universe is structured in a way that the future inducts the present towards it. One could for illustrative purposes have a vast magnet set into a timeless void and atoms of iron set at a distant point far from the magnet that are drawn to it over time. There could be various conditions that create such a teleological structure, including spirit.

That brings me to the other video; one on the monkey style of Kung Fu. The instruction about human spiritual development in regard to health and shaping the body toward purpose and function is quite good and worth watching even for non-martial arts practitioners. The Holy Spirit is one of the three persons of one God. Human heath and understanding of philosophic depth relate to intellectual and spiritual dimensions (meaning aspects here) of being, inclusive of physics.

Will Russia Grant Ukraine a 30 Day Time-out so it Can Rebuild Its Army and Weapons Supplies Without Worry?

 European Axis leaders met in Ukraine to organize a demand for a 30 Day Time Out from war so the West Ukraine army can have a chance to recover from recent losses on the battlefield. Russia is expected to deny the time out from hostilities anticipating that would increase their casualties when war resumes.

A cease fire is good if it doesn't give advantages to one belligerent side in conflict who would then resume hostilities. It is an unreasonable expectation. President Trump is said to be capitulating to Axis demands for everything Ukraine and may put new sanctions upon Russia to drive the world closer toward nuclear war eventually.

Google Goes All-In for Nuclear Power

 Google's decision to sponsor construction of nuclear power plants is interesting for several reasons. One of course is the Three Mile Island/Chernobyl anti-environment concern; in times of war or just terrorism via drones and hypersonic vectors nuclear atomization and dispersion could be hazardous to the health of Californians and others downwind like Nevada. Google could obviously choose to locate nuclear plants across the border in Mexico and around the nation near its data centers creating more work for climatologists predicting fallout patterns and shadows for possible disasters.

The choice for Google to go nuclear to provide abundant power for AI like Gemini with the Silkwood factor forgotten in history exemplifies the human acceleration toward building up  semi-intelligence with the simultaneous externality of increased entropy.

 In less than one generation the country has gone from vacuum tubes and transistors with mainframe computers and no pcs or smartphones-instead rotary dial phones on party lines were the norm, to vast networks of sprawling AI data centers demanding power for everyone's AI assistant on their smartphone and devices, laptops etc. The attraction for more ease and convenience outweighs- easily, the social good sense to configure a real material environment where the biosphere is not itself made into an externality of 'progress' and reciprocally forced into decline. 

Some evolutionary biologists have speculated that the most successful life on other are prokaryotes because they have been around for billions of years and may outlast the ark of creative intelligence that appeared briefly in the brief time of the complex organism of homo sapiens before they destroyed themselves. It is good to know that at least the meek or rather the simple will inherit the Earth if humanity destroys itself for lack of good sense in quest of excess profit.

Google Goes Nuclear

This phenomenon of the accretion of technology without a corresponding increase in environmental conservatism brings me to consider the complex of compresent developments of war saturating the planet following the catalyzing effect of the Ukraine war field test and development laboratory.

The Russians have developed the marvelous Oreshnik hypersoninc, marved missile that is truck launched, flies to space and releases several multiple reentry warhead vehicles that travel down to Earth targets at mach 11 twisting and spiraling on their way to evade Patriot missiles. Concurrently the U.S. navy has hypersonic whaling guns that shoot missiles from the bow at distant military targets. On a single day Ukraine may send 500 drones to attack Moscow while Russia retaliates with Islander hypersonic missiles that are short range and low trajectory flying under radar. The world is being saturated by smart bombs that fly, crawl and swim under the ocean surface. I can hardly wait until the year 2040 to see how that works out.
