Comment On Faster than Light Travel

There is a book named 'Flatterland' that is good non-tech reading about mathematics of dimensions. I prefer the transporter approaches over spaceships. Since all particles and mass are expressed or entangled in the Higgs field, it might be that spatial distances are contingent aspects of that steady state of mass, therefore superposition of particles is a normal Higgs attribute and relocating mass as information to anyplace would not require spatial travel. Instead it would require moving information- reassembled in the steady state as entangled mass. Instead of travelling through space-time the techniques to slip past it hold more interest.

Chicom Nuclear Bomber Threat in Paracel Islands

When the Chinese Air Force landed bombers on an artificially constructed island it demonstrated the lack of will of President Trump to build a wall on the Mexican border, high-speed Internet connections for all Americans, trans-continental trains that move faster than 200 m.p.h. or a moon base. The Trump administration may need to build a U.S. air base in the Paracel Islands to reinforce the Vietnamese and Republic of Taiwan's claims to at least a portion of the region. The United States, Vietnam and Taiwan may want to land their own bombers there one day in case the fishing is good.

Maybe a drone aircraft base would be a good idea. Drones could surveil fishing and smuggling lanes around the clock as well as monitor destruction to critical, endangered marine ecosystems. There may also be a potential for tourism and diving resorts.

The Presidential Ado About Deported MS 13 Immigrants

President Trump does have some misinterpretation of his comments. That really isn't helpful for the polity of the United States when it is intentional.

The President said that some deported immigrants are animals. Apparently he was referring to MS 13 gangsters.  Sen.Nancy Pelosi criticized President Trump and took his meaning as all immigrants are animals. She tweeted; "Immigrants are not ‘animals.’ The president’s statement was deeply offensive and racist. Immigrants are our family and friends, and they make significant contributions to our country,"

Pres Trump Should Postpone Summit Until Kim Jong Loses Weight

The U.S. media treats the President of the U.S. as if he were an uncertain flake with dubious loyalty to capitalism instead of Mother Russia. He is set to meet to talk about nuclear weapons with the nearly obese leader of a nation where people including the military seem to be half-starved. Each are worthy opponents in the match of flakiness. To one-up Kim Jong Un President Trump should cancel or postpone the summit until Dictator-Leader Kim Un loses weight...perhaps 35 pounds although it could be negotiable with careful and methodical diplomacy.

Dictator-Leader Kim has the rare opportunity to lose nuclear weapons and pursue peace and prosperity for his nation as partners with the south. Yet there are many strong, good and inscrutable reasons to keep building up nuclear weapons and sufficient missiles to make enemies all around the world that cannot be easily set aside. The value of pointing nuclear weapons at one's close neighbors and relatives must also be irresistible to the Dictator. He probably gets excellent barbecued ribs and such with exotic oriental food besides. Neither the west nor the south can hope to match the cuisine of the Dictator of the North.

US High Schools Need Competent Security Design

It is amazing to me that such a large part of the public can so often be so wrong about fairly simple issues. It is something like that saying about some of the people being fooled much of the time and in a democracy that has consequences. A school shooting today in Sante Fe Texas could have been prevented with up to date school security, not taking away gun rights. Yet Americans will wail about this and that and school security won't be technically improved. Instead a few more union security guards sitting around will be hired.

Face recognition tech is ubiquitous and can recognize school students and intruders or other unauthorized people on campus. Metal detectors can visualize guns and knives. Retired military can screen students through metal detectors and imaging devices that are as good as the T.S.A. uses. In short there is a surfeit of technology that can be used to make certain that students cannot get weapons into high schools. Why not use that and reduce teacher salaries a little to pay for it?

Israel had a problem with Palestinian terrorists taking school students hostage; once. Maybe the Trump administration should call in some Israeli security consultants.

The common reaction is to spend copiously on post-shooting counseling, love sessions and so forth as if statistically anomalous student behaviors could be absolutely prevented when the internet, games, movies and television are littered with violence and wacko behaviors rising to super-hero status. Probably it would be possible to rediscover common sense on security in an era where student behaviors are off the deep end as a matter of pride and principle.

The kid shooter seems about as normal as anyone can get for an adolescent guy. Honor student, football player; yet with a Greek minority name. Normal is a bit wrong in America these days and the President cannot even secure the southern border much less get high school security able to withstand some less than brilliant weapons smuggling into them.

Windows 10 April Update Forces Tiling

If there is a greater time waster on the Internet than using Windows I don't know what it is except maybe the Istore app. Windows 10 April 2018 update forces tiling of windows so the screen is more of a mess and a problem to mess with.

Windows seems designed to consume time of the user. It doesn't really seem like a tool for adults that want to be productive. Fundamentally an operating system and PC should be as simple and reliable as a power tool rather than acting like some sort of retardant agent product designed by the American psychiatric association as a test of patience and gullibility.

Tiling windows is an old programming tech that has existed in public domain operating systems forever. Unlike Windows 10, they don't force that tech on the user.

Russian Crimean Bridge to History Update

Russia's long history in the Crimea followed that of the decadent Roman Empire and invasions of Huns, Goths and Khazars to the Peninsula that had previously experienced Greek and Roman settlements. In 988 Keivan Rus leader Prince Sviatoslav I captured in and made it part of Rus. Other European entities as well as Mongols have sought to take the Crimea away from Russia ever since.

Crimea was formerly annexed again by Russia in 1773 following Cossack and other invasions into the decadent Khanates of Muslomified Tartars. Until the end of the Russian Empire in 1917 the Crimean Peninsula remained Russian.

After the Russian Civil war the Crimea became part of the Soviet Union. The Red Army lost 170,000 soldiers defending Sevastopol in WW II before the Nazi Germans took it, perhaps with some help from Nazi sympathizing Ukrainians. Following the Nazi defeat the Soviet Union retook it an it remained Russian until 1991. In the interregnum following the breakup of the Soviet Union the Yeltsin Government had Ukraine and Crimea filched away by the Bill Clinton administration during the transition C.I.S. phase of the post-soviet Union. Recovering post Soviet Russia took control of the Crimea again during the Putin administration. The new Crimean bridge is a major upgrade in the status of the Peninsula.
