Nelson Mandela Passes On

The passing of Nelson Mandela is another milestone of history such as was experienced by many Americans in the early 1960s when the World War Two generals and Presidents passed on. There is so much a trend toward historical revisionism that I decided to write a comment about the former African National Congress revolutionary leaders and former President of South Africa Nelson Mandela.

The true apartheid concern of Americans today is really economic segregation. A metric of economic segregation within a nation is about the sole objective criteria to recognize who is being put down. Corporatists and communists internationally as well as fascists are happy to play the race card and elect any sort of tax-cuts-for-the-rich politician the media can be blowhards for as a shill for control. South African history was not like that however. Mandela was a real revolutionary who grew up in the historical evolution of South Africa.

Why did South Africa develop apartheid and why did it take so long to end? Apartheid or racial separation was an historical process rather than a designed or theoretical political system. Bantu were early settlers of South Africa and Portuguese and later Dutch settlers arrived about the same time as the Zulu fighting as tribes for control of the region. Racial tribalism was the way of the world back then and only slowly would racial integration without war on a battlefield evolve.

The American civil war was largely fought to keep democracy intact for the first truly democratic society of modern times. Ending southern slavery was a necessity for keeping the old regime of global elites from dividing and conquering the U.S.A. one piece at a time. The world was ruled by royals and elites in the 19th century with Britain supporting the cause of the southern Confederacy as a successor subversion follow-up to burning the capital at Washington D.C. like an Al Qaeda attack during the war of 1812. Apartheid was not slavery-it initially was a way of keeping the savage foes at bay beyond the forts.

Before electronics and C.S.I. law and order enforcement was bad. Murder was too common. An excavation at a non-battle site in the Middle East from the late Neolithic found that the majority of men had died from head wounds. Into modern time law-enforcement was fairly ineffective except with punitive measures such as burning a village to eliminate an insurgency. Social frontiers were established with military rather than police power and unfortunately that included South Africa.

One might have thought that after the troubles of the Nazis and Japanese imperialists ended with the Second World War that the time for South Africa’s apartheid to end had arrived. After all the effort to use military conquest for colonial purposes had halted long before, a year or two, and Gandhi had returned to India from service as a police sergeant in South Africa to reprove settlements  with Muslims on issues of Jammu and Kashmiri independence. Instead what happened what wrenched the works was development of a cold war with proxy wars and Cuban soldiers running amuck across Africa. Dumped weapons stimulated revolutionary wars. A profusion of Kalashnikov rifles and explosives created liberation movements. Doctor Che Guevara gained his moment in the left-wing constellation before perishing in a South America jungle firefight. And then Nelson Mandela had to sit out 27 years in a prison cell. America has two or three million souls in prison cells, some innocent. When some innocent guy is released after 20 or 30 years usually he seems peaceful. I suppose most of the anger has been burned out of him long before because of the futility of emotion-within-self that does no good at all. Emotion is somewhat rational.

It because obvious during the late years of the cold war that apartheid was a propaganda victory in progress for the Red Block. Apartheid needed to end along with the cold war and unsurprisingly it died a natural death in 1994. Nelson Mandela’s main contribution historically was in stabilizing the post-Apartheid South African government. He did that a little better than President George W. Bush stabilized post-Saddam Hussein Iraq. We are skeptical that President Obama will stabilize Afghanistan after 2014 very well.

In the late 60’s and early 70s one could watch Bob Rule, Lenny Wilkins, Spencer Haywood, Walter Hazzard and other African-ancestry basketball stars playing for the Seattle Supersonics. They were not underprivileged nor segregated souls, and so viewing from afar the troubles of South Africa amidst the world of wars, Carlos the Jackal killers and egregious pollution such as at Minimata Japan one might wonder why people could not assure full employment, a good environment and national security for themselves.

In the U.S.A. labor unions that had high black membership along with most others have withered away along with low unemployment. A variety of ways of creating permanent economic segregation for citizens of the United States have developed and Americans with dual Mexican citizenship are being cultivated as a way to let globalists remote control the U.S. democracy and reduce it to a servile corporatist plaything. The media is corporate owned or influenced and agitates to organize corporatist values.  Well, we have poetry at least for consolation.

Does History Repeat Itself?

Arnold Toynbee, Herbert Spencer and others noted cycles in civilization. I like Toynbee's challenge-response paradigm myself. If history can be said to repeat itself though one must ask what it is that repeats?

Human beings have innate behavior involving natural functions that are replicated in all individuals. So one wonders if societies and civilizations also have innate behaviors and obviously they do. I value G.W.F.  Hegel's quite highly myself though his dialectical paradigm for history being God evolving through history is somewhat over-generalized for use in the particular paradigm of 'does history repeat itself?'

One wants to place human existence on Earth within the broad parameters of Universal existence in a space-time field in order to ask literally if history repeats itself to which we tend to provide a definite 'no'. The space-time continuum is a linear flow with entropy having a direction. In an infinite multiverse however it might be possible that history recurs nearly the same in an infinite number of permutations although each in a different Universe. Again that fairly difficult to pin down paradigm of recurrent historical cycles could be itself just another contingent ontology within God. If God can foreknow and pre-exist in effect all things would he really need to actualize them?

Leaving off the difficult question of the nature of reality-for-humans as a contingent space-time field phenomena for now and returning to the question of 'does history repeat itself' in a narrower interpretation it is possible to break down the question into pieces; do some things in history repeat such as the growth of trees or species if not exterminated, or do weather patterns recur, and do corrupt rulers ever recur in history, do nations end because of excess public debt and so forth. I believe there is evidence to support the idea that civilizations and nations repeat errors just as some people repeat criminal behavior.

The troubles with getting rulers to work for Utopian goals optimizing so far as possible an optimal course of human development tend to recur too for analysts trying to goad a society toward better goals. I think there was a movie maybe starring William Holden 'The Bridge of Toko Ri' or some such that had a recurring effort to destroy the bridge of the bad guys so the good guys could liberate the oppressed, well on second thought I am thinking of another movie about test pilots.

All these test pilots were killed and the project was to find out why-they all kept making the same mistakes or the plane's fault was killing them in the same way; no one knew what it was. Historical mistakes were recurring. I guess if one had many planetary civilizations to consider one might discover that many or most ended their existence by destroying their ecosphere or themselves through war before learning about it. One must hope to avoid repeating the mistakes of the past especially if that involves the hubris of lacking faith in the living, transcendent God.

Truth Theories etc/Touch Screen Germ Pools

Correction- I cited axiology as = Truth theory when actually axiology equals value theory.
Value theory is one excellent field of study. The United States has one value theory primarily and that kind of monetary monomania can actually fail to respond meaningfully to external challenges.

On truth theories there are theories such as coherence theory, correspondence theory a  disquotation theory, constructivist, pragmatist, concensus etc. that are well worth thinking about.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Truth_theory#Major_theories_of_truth

Consider a man training arduously for the world championships at two-thumb data entry flexing his thumbs on an international aircraft. He had left a bus station just an hour before where he needed to wait for a ride to the airport. He sensed the danger of the bus station amidst the crowd and looked in the reflections of a plate glass window to see if his rival's agent was following. The guy is a bit paranoid and works for a confederal government.

Two-thumb data entry world record holders are an elite crew comparable perhaps to opposable-thumb champions at grasping objects in trees millions of years before. They may strive to overcome competition at text messaging in hard-to-be-heard on a phone locations like a Seattle Seahawk's home game.

On the airplane the messages entered on the touch-screen were enough to write a small book before the end of the flight. Walking through the custom's station and 3rd degree of Homeland Security he exploited a new requirement that he wash his hands before entering the U.S.A. to cut down on germ transmission to Americans from abroad. Yet he made a critical mistake failing to put his micro-tablet touch screen in a handy touch screen decontaminator on the way out of Homeland Security. The touch-screen data entry champion put his thumbs back on to the germ pool of the touch screen that recontaminates his digits immediately after hand washing bringing a fresh, unique collection of bugs from the Middle-East city he had been training in.

So one may ask; is there any truth to the concept that touch-screens are germ storage facilities defeating hand-washing in America and wonder where the answers will be found. In a way there is a temporal element to truth-values; some truth values exist for a while, some truths are undiscovered yet, some truths transform into falsehood after a while (i.e. it is raining outside now), some truths are implicitly logically absurd or false (water is always dry) and some propositions are not falsifiable.

It is useful to remember that one cannot prove the particular with the universal. God is the Universal and people are particulars. One can argue reasonably that God is the Universal and the particulars with the particulars having limited intellect as if they were denouements of power quanta with limited range and in a field of protocol. There are consequences for the individual spirit-units believing that nothing is real and everything subjective as if they caused their own hallucinations inclusive of that of existence so they might ask if they were capable 'who programmed that computer to think it exists'?.

If the federal government believes that reality may be entirely subjective, or of that isn't a sort of popular idea on Wall Street in the age of fracture, won't that adversely affect public debt management? If  government is largely incompetent with challenged ideas about the reality of reality how can it be brought back closer unto sober neo-empiricism, as is the underlying secret fact of pragmatic investors seeking to rule the world?

Isn't political economy management like directing a flood of river water? There are prosperous flows and debt causing flows surging over the river banks. Government cannot just watch and let nature take its course and remain a government. Neither should it try to contain and control the flow without regard to the real role of the watercourse way in nature or mankind's place in nature under God.

Government should pragmatically try to direct the flood sufficiently to accomplish the natural interests of the citizens of prosperity, health, recovering ecosphere and national security with equal justice for all. That can be done with smart leadership applying this and that measure here and there rather than through one daft piece of legislation. King Canute economic management and the alternative theory of nothing is real haven't a good historical track record.

Truth Theories

Truth theories are numerous in contemporary philosophy. The ideas of W.V.O. Quine are illuminating on that subject.

If truth is confirmation of a hypothesis or assertion, then often one finds truth. Yet language values for axiology (truth theory) are variables and the difficulty in finding things true in all circumstances.

The Universe is temporal and that is probably why the idea occurred to Plato of timeless 'forms' or truth objects as if he would think today that quarks or a Higgs bosun is some immutable substance.

Ultimately among the numerous theories of truth one arrives at a postulation that God is the logical Truth value and all concepts relative to God that could have more than disquotation or concurrence with temporal postulations. That is probably not written very simply. I mean that the fundamental source of all things that are not contingent and relative is God. Obviously one would need to have faith in God to believe that.

Godless Scientism Killing Ordinary Souls in the 'Name of Gravity'

Interesting about Dostoyevsky. I believe that Stendhal must have read Tolstoy, taken a look at Dostoyevsky and then written The Red and the Black. That book is a little ordinary reminding me somewhat of The Idiot (by Dostoyevsky) until the end. Stendhal learned how to make that great ending. It's kind of a religious insight and makes the entirety worth reading.

I wanted to comment on the idea that no one has died for the cause of gravity. There was nearly a killing of a believer in gravity by religious people. For Galileo his notions about gravity might have been a contributing cause for his near death before recantation by religious people, yet if scientific atheism includes the theory of gravity as an element then we have the terrible history of the Soviet Union to provide millions of examples of people that have perished in the political effort to foist mandatory godless scientism upon the world.

Don't forget that the Kulakization program killed millions of Russians with more than a couple of cows or a small farm-that was as devastating as large scale corporate farming at getting rid of small farmers (fatally in the first case because of starvation and freezing in Sibir). Solzhenitsyn's Gulag Archipelago series recounted some of the trimming science-only advocates put on tens of millions of ordinary people.  Other examples abound such as the Kymer Rouge and Pol Pot's government execution of intelligent souls and probably people of faith. One might say they were just ignorant communists however they were steeped in the mindless atheist theory of Karl Marx.

Better ways exist to secure social economic justice and offset unfair power acquired through exploitation of humans as owned capital or the advantage of machines. One example is progressive taxation and limit's on the size and number of corporations that any individual may own shares in.

Tolstoy, the WIkipedia Relates, Was a Christian Anarchist

Tolstoy, the wikipedia relates, was a Christian anarchist. "The truth is that the State is a conspiracy designed not only to exploit, but above all to corrupt its citizens ... Henceforth, I shall never serve any government anywhere."-Tolstoy.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leo_Tolstoy

Tolstoy was a veteran of war and became a skeptic generally about mankind and social organizations. He did seem to believe in God however, and in the life of Jesus Christ. Christology has found some controversy historically in the nature of the divinity of Jesus Christ. I have a positive few of that so much so that The Lord was the Son of God-in other words a specific incarnation of God in temporal form and one with eternal life. Obviously there is a substantial amount of range of latitude one can take with interpretation of that kind of comment.

Tolstoy was something of a natural mystic. In later life he renounced wealth and affirmed asceticism. He greatly respected Jesus and believed that people commonly misunderstand his meaning. The Lord said in Matthew 19:24 ""It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.""

I listened to Tolstoy's commentary on religion available free at Thought Audio. He was a skeptic about the formal church structure in Russia and thought it somewhat syncretistic and disingenuous. In fact he believed that the regular liturgy tended to keep people ignorant. In Russia of his day the peasants were still discouraged to read the Bible for-themselves.

Jesus of course said that the kingdom of God is within you and one would expect nothing less of a transcending God concerned with spirit. Tolstoy was theistic yet he evidently enjoyed reading Schopenhauer so far as he encountered the mystical sort of influence perhaps first such as Schopenhauer derived himself from the East, Zoroastrianism and the influence of the idea of Brahma.

Unlike the Palagians that did not believe in the dual nature of Christ, the left position might be construed as tending toward a Spinozan or Shirley McClain sort of God is within you paradigm with the subject persona of the individual being a kind of illusion.

The differences East and West and not so great historically between the two points of view. Even within the Orthodox church tradition their were many that experienced heyschasm or mystical union with God before that was banned by the church hierarchy. Plotinus described the One in his 54 tractates named the Enneads, and he is perhaps mistakenly regarded as a pagan by those unaware of the deeper idea of a transcendent God surpassing the Higgs field of one's time.

There are reasons historically why orthodox and even state churches opposed the influence of mysticism and wanted pure naive-realism as the foundation for church worship of God. Part of that was historical too with state religions sometimes worshiping the fearless leader of politics as a god (such as Nero). Others had vested interests in exclusive control of access to heaven and hell on Earth and beyond the 4 dimensions of space-time if they thought about the beyond the garden of Eden downloaded paradigm.

Anyway, so much for Tolstoy for now. Dostoyevsky is of interest too. What about Alyosha? Wasn't he a better soul than his brother Ivan,  and more humble about life besides?

Democrat Party Loses Generations of Liberal Progress Following Homo Agenda

Since F.D.R. reformed the U.S. economy following the depression the Democrat party has pursued socially egalitarian reforms to better the lifestyle of ordinary Americans. Since the Obama administration took office a meaningless drift toward a homosexual agenda has replaced the tradition of real national economic progress. The Democrat Party has evolved to being a kind of COMINTERN global exporter of homosexuality as the new Marxism as if behavior that is fundamentally politically meaningless would itself make the world economy a better place.

Obamacare was probably designed to let homosexuals with AIDS or HIV get insurance at the same cost as the uninfected. The Obama homosexual community activism can’t substitute for the badly needed ecospheric and economic transformations toward progress, full employment and a cessation of increase of public debt. Homosexual theorists are simply wrong about their place in the world and effect on national politics.

The fiction of homosexuals as liberal democrats is the perfect tool for dissolving the economic class interests of the American poor and middle class. Homosexuals are rich as well as poor or middle class. Besides being a transgender element they are a trans-economic class fact including very likely billionaires. When the Democrat Party takes its focus off the purely economic picture and moves into the business of making morality by judicial and legislative decretals the classical historical interests of the ruling class rise with wealth increasingly concentrated through global networking.

Homosexual militants have expropriated the race card unto themselves claiming bigotry to those politically opposing their rapid expansion of power for degenerate social behavior trivializing the real historical problems of balancing and neutralizing racial distrust as elements of social oppression. In this era of swollen conservative homosexual militancy and consolidated wealth for the 1% radio advertisers have boasted of their “human capital” resources as if the era of slavery had returned already.

There have been bisexuals throughout military history. Before bedding Cleopatra Mark Anthony on military campaigns had a record of drunken debauchery with male soldiers. It has always been an aspect of the ruling class that they have had periods of wild Zarathustran type will. Julius Caesar is said to have been a plaything of a foreign king before rising to bed most of the Senator’s wives. Caesar’s family claimed descent from the pagan goddess of love- Venus. Though Caesar was necessarily a populist-like Ronald Reagan, he made himself the first Roman Emperor and ended the Republic that was moribund and corrupt due to more concern for globalism than Roman national interests.

Obamacare-Romney care was tested in the homosexual coordinating center of Boston Massachusetts. The Boston butch bosses thought they could enslave and tax youth into paying for the costs of AIDS and HIV medical treatment for those homosexuals with pre-existing conditions unable to buy health insurance. OF course that worked out well for conservatives in the corporate world interested in collecting rents from healthy youth.

The inexpensive way to provide AIDS and Mental health pharmacopeias to the afflicted would have been with government provided generic drugs costing a fraction of what insurers and corporate hospitals charge. The generic drugs administered by non-profit public health networks would have been a practical cost-effective remedy yet of course the Democrats with the Corporatist-homosexual agenda would have none of that.

Objective, effective economic policy is what is needed in White House leadership. Although there is virtually no chance of a competent President being elected in 2016 able to move toward ecospheric restoration with a halt to species loss concurrent with full national employment without adding to public debt it may be possible to change the fundamental Democrat Party political philosophy tangent toward homosexual behavior as a cure all snake oil remedy for anything while concentrating wealth, increasing public debt and outsourcing U.S. national independence.

The basic challenge facing Americans is American errors in political policy. Health care should reforms should serve the poor first with government provisioning for medical emergency with loans and a national network of public health clinics and V.A. Hospitals. To be a global leader on environmental and economic reform and not rely oink the dubiously trustworthy collection of bureaucrats at the U.N. seeking international funds to devour the U.S. government needs to be a exemplary leader at ecospheric conservation simultaneous with full employment at home within it’s own borders.

Viruses are scary to people anyway, there is no need to push a queer agenda politically to reduce over-population or to stimulate research to counteract de facto ambient biological war by nature upon promiscuity and homosexuality. Almost no one wants loose biological epidemics floating about as a cull upon the herd.

Set Theory, Multiverse and Theological Speculation

For millennia some Christian theologians have contemplated the possible attributes of God. Though Jesus informs us that none have seen the Father except the Son and that if we know Jesus we know the Father (God) nevertheless a quest for more knowledge of God and his attributes has brought theologians from Philo of Alexandria to Thomas Aquinas to consider the infinite and realms beyond the veil of entangled particles appearing as mass within a Higgs Field in a solid state-temporal condition.

The German mathematician Georg Cantor 1845-1918 was very helpful in developing ideas on infinity. Cantor was the inventor of set theory, and taken with modal logic it is quite simple to contemplate cardinal and ordinal infinite series as abstractions.

Cantor is his day was seriously academically marginalized for thinking about real numbers. Real numbers are something akin to Platonic realism-each considers things that seem unreal to common sense perception. Real numbers include negative numbers and that was almost heretical in the nineteenth century among some establishment mathematicians.

Inn January 2014 the theoretical physicist Max Tegmark is publishing a new book on multiverse theory structures and classification. In a sense multiverse theory is a natural growth from set theory and transfinite series that Cantor developed. Added to the developments in algebra and geometry during the 20th century its easy to create n-dimensional universes and a plethora of Universes-even an infinite array of Universes as sets within sets quite equivalent to the way sets of infinite numbers can be encapsulated or juxtaposed within other sets (regard each set as a Universe or subset Universe) with particular physical boundary conditions or laws for each Universe having some relation to the meta-set boundary conditions.

Since mass and energy are equivalent through convertibility in ratio to Einstein’s formula of E= MCone may consider that which exists as some indefinable kind of field. The Higgs field is a comparatively local-to-the-Universe-we-live-in medium in which particles can tangle up and actualize. Though it is easy enough to hypothesize a precursor field or potential zero-point energy in a vacuum before any Universe develops through an aggregation of zero-point energy into mass the unresolved question of where zero-point energy comes from and what relation and boundary conditions zero-point energy in a primordial vacuum have remain.

We like to think of God as eternal and non-temporal. At some point before the beginning of a temporal succession of Universes cascaded into being (at least theoretically for human beings existing in a temporal Universe the book of Genesis indicates was a contingent field created after the fall from perfect grace by Adam and Eve) an eternal field existed.

The neo-Platonist philosopher Plotinus wrote about The One well enough in The Enneads. In the modern world his ideas are still useful. Theoretical cosmology provides Christian philosophers with a theological interest quite a bit of paradigmata to think about too.

Considering the relationship of being to nothingness for an eternal God for whom all things exist pre-known and created,  nothingness may be a through-the-glass darkly limitation to perception, a kind of non-omniscient way of being enabling the appearance of temporality and vacuum to exist. In a way the logically primary state of affairs of a zero-point energy field would be monistic rather than pluralistic. There should be no spacing or interval, no vacuum at all. It seems not a coincidence that the infinities of black holes are a common thread in considering the irreducible origin of mass in its primary form. The highest organization and least amount of entropy in a Universe are at a singularity.

Plotinus too considered The One as all things as a kind of singularity for whom nothing at all needed to be extended or actualized. The paradox fundamentally was why such a happenstance of anything existing should be made to occur. Plotinus brought the idea of The Intelligence into being creating Universes and forms for things to be. Plotinus drew upon Plato and his Realm of Forms (in The Republic) as inspiration obviously however The Intelligence is also suggestively comparable to The Spirit of God that acted upon the waters to make the Universe materialize with substance. The concept of water as a primordial field that when made turbulent allows things to be and become isn’t unlike the idea of twisters, strings and such in a fundamental field. Christians however might look to the origin of the original field or at least to its explanation as spiritual.

Mass as a spiritual compound at its fundamental level was developed by the physicist and mathematicians Gottfried Leibniz. He called those one and two-dimensional particles monads. It is easy to theorize a spiritual foundation for mass concatenated through dimensions as readily as a holographic Universe. With Bishop Berkeley’s Three Dialogues of Hylas and Philonous developing the philosophy of idealism it became practical to consider the subjectivity of sense data and today how sense data is interpreted by the mind phenomenally though generally consistently by similarly constructed beings. Berkeley believe the entire Universe could  be production created for a human mind to experience by God, and it may with an ultimate appearance of being real.

Some Eastern philosophers have also considered reality as a product of the mind of God (or Brahma). The concept of the unextended eternal being (God) existing at the heart of nature and all Universes occurring within His own infinite to the infinite nature seems challenging to miss. A human soul then seems to be a spirit within the mind of God Who is Spirit.

Organizations vs Individuals; The De-optimalization of Enterprise

Maximizing individual liberty from the tyranny of organizations was the fundamental purpose of the U.S. Constitution. Government is just one of the possible forms of social organizations that may form to oppress individualism running roughshod over it.

Corporatism, communism, fascism, organized crime, unionism and even organized religion may be secular forces oppressing individual rights. Contemporary ‘liberalism’ may be a front for organized oppression of individual liberty, unlike the classical liberalism of the founders.

Some believe in error that because organizations are made of individuals they are nothing besides individuals. Organizations are teams and collectives with variegated compensation packages that act as super-individuals; bullies, against ordinary individuals in the pursuit of enterprise with excellence.

There is inevitably an upward drift through organizations to acquire more power and influence over individuals in society. Organizations also may takeover the public sector through a variety of means of infiltration from within and without. In any case the individual is intimidated by the organization and made to follow or at least acquiesce within its method to pursue its goals. Generally collectives and organizations reduce the horizon of creativity of individuals to production of organizational goals.

Some organizations and unionism is necessary to offset maleficience of other organizations exploiting individuals. Yek the dialectical increase of organizational size in challenge and response is its own self-reifying logic for increase. Democracy and individual are distant points of light from beyond the torpid underworld of organizational dark pools of power.

Reason, Science and Faith

Taking a Hebrew language course the last words written across the chalkboard before I left Theology School were Ha Ha Ha! Ha means ‘the’ in Hebrew and my student loan never arrived so I returned to the street and a car with a rusted out floor through which my feet could reach asphalt. Faith is not about quantification, science is. Reason is I think, useful for both.

I had left that car in the care of Sgt. Roy Benavidez, Medal of Honor winner, in El Campo Texas earlier that summer and rode a motorcycle home to Alaska. Now, without a motorcycle I drove the car to home passing through Utah and a close encounter with a spiritual experience. Faith in-the-world encounters experience while science tries to quantify it.

Science, politics and religion are three avenues for the experience of life. Life is an emergent phenomenon of entangled energy fields that seemed to be mass in-the-Higgs-field. We might trust that God has within his infinite and eternal nature all temporal Universes foreknown, even though they all pre-exist in an infinite variety of forms. One might also believe that a human spirit is a finite aspect of spirit. The Great Spirit being God is all being juxtaposing nothingness as a counterpoint and interval for anything that would seem to appear to have time. So what is one to think about science?

Mitochondrial D.N.A. transfers have been politically approved in England although it is still illegal to do so. Upgrading the mitochondria of a woman’s eggs with defective mitochondria might seem compassionate enough. A couple could have a hybrid baby I guess with three different genome contributions. That technology could also be applied to animals. Science could upgrade Siberian tigers to human level intellect with Bonobos and Chimps able to think as well as Republicans and Democrats becoming just a shout away. I suppose they have made Dolly the Sheep sort of creatures in secret. Maybe they made super-mice able to remember all of the passwords necessary to get food from very difficult maze caches as prototypes.

I think science today has a kind of hubris faith in atheism as truth. Because science materially works and has historically enlightened humanity in cosmology and other fields it isn’t uncommon to make the assumption that Biblical truth is obsolete. Those with degrees in science aren’t generally terribly philosophical or well read in Biblical history deeply enough to well-consider the perennial question of interest to philosopher. Even the brilliant mathematical cosmologist Stephen Hawking has said that “philosophy hasn’t kept up”. I think he means philosophers haven’t been doing the math of M-Theory, Emperor Theory and so forth. Generally he would be right about that, yet is it necessary for philosophers or theologians to work out the math of various cosmology theories to consider cosmology theories? Is a structure of a given multi-verse not something that can be represented theoretically with model logic or even a Cantorian abstraction of trans-finite sets within the Spirit?

Faith is about trust in things unseen. God is unseen except as The Son while science seeks to learn about the unseen and unknown through material avenues. Christians too hope to see The Son as scientists hope to find the final formula to whip up there own Universes out of nothing I guess.
