Obama Policy to Stimulate Government Job Increase?

When President Obama misspoke last week saying that the economy is just fine, and needing to have his press secretary clarify the point that the President meant that the private sector is just fine the issue arose about the Presidential paradigm regarding economics.

The first Obama stimulus in retrospect turned out to have mostly been a stimulus for the public sector-a policy that is generally phenomenal like morning dew. The President would again like to stimulate the public sector with new public debt to create new public jobs without reforming the private sector significantly.

The idea that the President cannot be an economic reform leader is simply wrong. Halting illegal labor immigration in order to naturally create demand for U.S. labor and technological innovation, providing economic advantage to new ecologically reforming companies in the U.S.A., new zoning laws to advantage smaller, better designed homes with a low ecosphere footprint that are very affordable-a number of leadership measures were possible in the first Obama term that never saw the light of day.

The administration's leadership in space development was also moribund with significant cuts to N.A.S.A. planetary missions. It is probable that for the U.S.A. to continue space leadership it would need to construct a mass driver launcher on Earth for heavy lift of tech modules to orbit and delivery to the moon whereat another mass driver can be built to hurl things onward toward Mars where another mass driver would be built to llift things into orbit for return to Earth or the moon.

Reliance upon chemical rockets for heavy lift retards the potential for space colonization in the next 100 years quite a lot. Keeping the mass of the Earth, moon and Mars the same in order to not affect local gravity will require mass drivers as high tech is done on Earth and even rocks are exchanged until tech is built on the moon and Mars. The planetary security of the Earth requires a long term human presence on the moon and Mars-its just common sense.

About Two-Dimensional Semantics

An entry today into the Stanford Encyclopedia of Philosophy is that of two-dimensional semantics. It's an interesting entry since I have recently been reading Eco's book 'Semiotics and the Philosophy of Language'. I also have an interest in Quine's works such as 'Ontological Relativity'. So it is easy enough to regard language meaning and the signs to represent it as one dimensional, two-dimensional or multi-dimensional in regard to addresses or locations for the word unit or meaning unit components.

Apparently two-dimensional semantics is a way of charting words or phrases-perhaps signs-with multiple meanings, contingent meanings and etc. One obviously can use a bi-conditional context for an example of a word having one meaning or another. If A then B equals C...

Words are themselves signs, and signs seem to have an even more basic existence. Words can be reduced to simple codes-one letter or one number as an example of their nature as signs in many-lettered words with phonemes and morphemes.

One of the reasons for semiotics and semantic researches is that in areas such as Europe where many languages are spoken making a chart of the inter-language values and structures in regard to past and present use and origins such as in ancient Ukrainian, Sandskrit or German is that the levels of meaning for words within their context of use inevitably needs becomes formalized in translations. If there were just one global language perhaps the work on formal logic, semitotics and semantics might not be so plentiful.

My belief presently is that words as units can be reduced to any sign such as in computer logic of o's and 1's-binary code, or in Samuel Morris' code, and that the language signs exists within an architecture mapped by linguists and philosophers of language. It can have a multi-dimensional structure perhaps in order to create an inter-language context more simple to structure, yet any construction of word-unit meanings becomes meaningful only to those using it with their own meaning-content interpretation structure that may be standardized or not.

Words seem to be addresses for meanings that exist within a given ontology. Meanings like words are phenomenal and of value for live users. The philosophical questions about the reality of reference objects such as 'green leaves' is another field for itself. Green is a color created in the human mind by the neurological atomic structure that prefers wavelengths making green, blue and yellow psychological phenomena when given wavelengths of photons impacting things regarded as 'green leaves' bounce off and hit the eye and optic nerve of an observer of 'green leaves'. 

If human brains were changed so that 'green' stimulus was changed to red and the ability to make the phenomenon of 'green' appear in the human mind no longer existed then the meaning of green would not exist in the same way within the ontology of human users.

The Sweet Spot of Earth in Solar System, Galaxy and Universe

The Earth and the solar system rest in a special location of a remote spiral arm of the galaxy far away from the giant black hole at the center of the galaxy where thousands of stars are drawn to their destruction. The special locations that can let biological life form on planetary surfaces must be far from the lethal x-rays and chaos of turbulent gravitational force in regions with densely packed clumps of stars and interstellar gas. The Earth’s location is a special place called a galactic habitation zone, and the Earth’s size and distance from the sun and its intense heat let’s life have time to be and become.

The visible Universe may be about 46 billion light years in size, yet the size of the Universe itself is unknown. It is believed that the Universe inflated faster than light for a split second like a balloon in the first moments of its existence or that it grew quickly in some other way letting all of its locations have equal claim to be the center of the Universe since they were all locations equally distant from the space-time origin. When one looks out into the night sky through the lens of the Hubble Space Telescope and other deep field observational devices capturing light images going back to more than 13 billion light years of time the special, equally important locations of everyplace though a kind of nowhere-Utopia- were all essential for the subsequent history of the Universe that is our human heritage.

The philosopher Leibniz inferred that the foundational structure for atoms and matter is the monad; one and two-dimensional spiritual segments that allow formation of larger structures that seem to be matter and energy in larger phases. That concept is not much different from the philosophical paradigm for membrane and string theory. At the heart of matter and of its equivalent energy the unknown and uncertain reposes within a monistic mystery of One that gives rise to the appearance of a pluralism of quantum components and forms.

That mysterious philosophical paradigm of The One and the many is not inconsistent with belief in God and the Son Jesus Christ as creator of space-time and life on Earth through a phenomenal process. Consistent with evolution or a progressive history of the cosmos are transcending ideas for time and interpolation by the Lord of intelligent beings within any location in space-time of the Universe. God transcends the matter-energy emergent evolution with its General Relativity and Special Relativity characteristics that make time for-oneself the center of experience. Time may be dated from the inflation or membrane expansion of the Universe at time=0 in which the beginning of the Universe is regarded as its center, yet the center of that time equally developed to every place in the Universe existing today, for space and time are united and indivisible phenomena.

God as progenitor of energy-matter and/or space-time is not subject to his project and its space-time that floats downstream like a boat on a river that is part of the river itself. God is the intelligent designer of the Universe with every place in space-time meaningful at adapted to its physical circumstance. 

Human Transformation of the Planet's Ecosphere & Social-Ecospheric Environmental Interface

Scientific American posted an entry on a Nature article on human transformation of the planet's environment. At least 43% of the ecosphere has been remade (into less ecospheriecally productive) for human purposes.

This sort of thing is a variation of the Dodo bird syndrome/aka fossil fueled vehicles going around in circles as a kind of economic-intellectual autism; the economic methods degrade or consume environmental resources until social economics aren't sustainable. Perhaps one of these economic collapses will emerge like a newly isolated tropical island with a cut off population imbalanced environmentally and consuming everything existing in panic like locusts.

The paradox is that in that future planet of the apes with the statue of liberty cut down to size on the beach the apes will turn out to have been humanity itself- especially the political leaders and broadcasters. Sense or Sensibility in Foreign Intervention in Syria?

I am rather skeptical that a philosophical mandate exists for war. War seems to be a practical human activity such as rival colonies of ants do rather than an intelligent, philosophical practice.

Arguably U.S. intervention in the First World War led to global destabilization and a century of needless U.S. conflicts abroad. The Second World war and the Stalinist phenomenon would not have occurred except the German Imperial Government was deposed at the end of the war to enable an Armistice. Syrian intervention is another dubious issue perhaps flamed into being by the U.S. administration and the U.N. in order to accomplish a regime change.

The Obama Doctrine of regime changes in the Arab Spring... seems to be a function of British use of the U.S. military as their stooges for free military adventurism in furtherance of global imperialism for Britain economically speaking through a variety of financial means. The horror of terrorism upon civilian populations is repugnant to right reason of course, yet the perfidy of intervention by foreign powers can arise through a number of means.

The Alawi people of Syria are a tough, fighting tribe historically. The balances of power developed in the Middle East since 25,000 B.C. are sometimes a little beyond the depth of competence in the U.S. State Department and administration I think. I am fairly sure that I don't regard an indirect treacherous policy for 'diplomacy in the Middle East as forthright. If we must get rid of some government because people in Des Moines hate them, then we might attack them directly and put out of work Chicagoans to work in Damascus with an Obama stimulus package for government workers (Joking of course).

Like the Bush administration in Iraq there seems to be no post-regime change planning for Syria. Another conflict with lots of bodies splattered about en route to some glorious news coverage of the Condor Legion II blasting the fugitives into the stone age with precision weapons may be a way to help create another Sunni state in an ad hoc New Caliphate. Why?

Hamas was originally the Muslim Brotherhood too, and the new Egyptian President will probably be a member of the Muslim Brotherhood, as would a post Alawite Syrian leaders. Is that kind of situation supposed to intimidate Iran into giving up any loose nukes it may have panhandled from the Pakistanis' North Koreans or Russian, Chinese or whomever? On the contrary Iran might feel more in need of nukes to defend against a Sunni Middle East including Pakistan and an Afghanistan also possibly to be dominated by a restored new age Taliban.

I wonder about the competence of the administration on Syria since they have declared the wish for a regime change without providing plans for a post Assad government--will it have McDonald's or whatever so tourists can afford it?

It would be good if the United States could develop a record of intelligent, peaceful world leadership rather than a history of just bombing someplace for convenience and humanitarianism every five years or so. Old weapons inventories may need to be used, yet the Defense Department budget is funded with borrowing as much as taxes-and that too is a direct threat to the standard of living of the poor in the U.S.A. Is it the middle class that consistently desires foreign military interventionism?

Fish Traps in S.E. Alaska-The Way to Conserve Fish Stocks?

In Alaska history the local Tlingit Indians in effect fish farmed the Alexander Archipelago with a pervasive infrastructure of fish traps into which salmon would swim. It would be possible to eliminate commercial fishing in S.E. Alaska readily with a new infrastructure of fish traps thereby eliminating bi-catch, over-fishing through false counts and so forth. The use of fuel and global warming might also be substantially reduce.

An article in the 'Alaska Journal of Anthropology' Volume 9, Number 1-2011 by Jane L. Smith surveys the history of Tlingit fish traps in S.E. of which 369 have been researched.

U.S.A. Today reported that the spring weather for the United States ran a little more than five degrees above normal. Interesting.

Voters Affirm Gov. Walker/Overcoming the Chaos of Evolutionary Capitalism

With a convincing victory Governor Walker of Wisconsin has shown the way toward rolling back the swollen union hegemony over the establishment of democracy that inevitably leans toward latent imperialism foreign or domestic.

Imperialism in elitist social organizations from government unions to trans-national corporations works to devastate the egalitarian economic structures fabricated through the toil of democracy.

Independent economic liberty is dwarfed as inventions to are co-opted by corporate power and concentrated wealth, litigation and impractical opportunities for production. The future of the United States must be in an egalitarian nationalism without too much difference in economic reality between rich and poor.

Today the national social environment is intimidated by group-think and a false Darwinian capitalism that denies the validity of philosophical, thoughtful design for reforming capitalism in order that it serves democracy. Evolutionary capitalism relies upon accidental forces for non-existent intelligence to select economic structure and political form. Evolutionary capitalism is a pure secular materialism closer to Marxist dialectical evolution sideways and in all direction-a conflicting ocean of irrational waves creating economic chaos. The believers in that evolutionary ignorance without democratic reason policy believe that no intelligent design for democratic governance or an independent business environment subordinate to the real service of the citizens of the United States ought to exist. 

Hopefully Mitt Romney can turn the runaway economic existentialism back toward a nationalist direction where the energy of American can be collected and move toward reaching a critical mass for the generation of prosperity instead of decay and destruction.

The Atheist Fall before Monism and Monadology

I've written and read on the Internet more than a little, and commonly atheists a priori deny (categorically) any paradigm with Spirit or God in it as valid. In writing about monads and fundamental monism it is reasonable to consider spirit.

Monism with spirit at its heart tends to be arbitrarily opposed by atheists. The argument is given sometimes that spirit cannot be observed and therefor cannot exist, and one returns to that paradigm of needing to prove that something is materially observable or capable of being inferred from matter in order to potentially exist. That in despite the question being about what mass-energy-substance is in-itself.

I think that Leibniz might have named monads from the idea of monism. They were postulated to be one-dimensional or two-dimensional spiritual phenomenalities I seem to recall. With just a tiny potential for reason they could be assembled into the plurality of forms that make up the 'physical' universe. One virtually needs a theological background to contemplate philosophically how God who is pure spirit could create little 'bits' , monads, strings or whatever without quantifying His substance in some kind of structure with dimensions, yet of course Plotinus believed that God (he called God 'The One') had no need of physical dimensions or scale as might a Universe.

One can consider a quantum cosmology of course, yet regarding the nature of spirit donating form through possible monads it is difficult to say. Believers might regard God as capable of all kinds of things beyond the capacity or limits of either human minds or quantum structures that contain or channel energy (whatever it is for-itself in basic quantum denoument).

It is a paradox that the reasonable ideas of Leibniz on a philosophy of monads would be too often considered silly or heretical today by 'modern' 'enlightened' atheist 'philosopher' that have signed off simply on the materialism of Darwin and the meaninglessness of Dewey. Certainly physicists must search for proximal quantitative relationships for mass, energy and space, yet philosophers should be free to consider cosmology generally from a number of perspectives, forming of course opinions and making logical investigations where it seems worthwhile.

Leibniz actually invented mathematical logic and never published it. He tossed it in a drawer and his work was discovered long after his death. The philosophy of logic is a phenomenal construct itself, and even atheists ought not give up contemplation of paradigms of creation by the Spirit of the phenomenon of mass and energy. Perhaps logically they must yield that point as unbelievers-I haven't thought about that too much being of faith myself.

Feminized Wisconsin Unionism vs Gov. Walker

Feminized government and education unions that failed to adjust to the post cold war economy led a recall drive of tough Wisconsin Governor Walker that reaches a vote today. The analysis of contemporary political and economic events was always vital for the prospects of democracy and the present rump unionism leftover from the 70s economy that became a bubble of feminine economic expansion and upward mobility while the white male portion of the economy was in decline or stagnation-along with the workers in the private sector eventually. The Democratic Party became detached from economic reality following the end of the cold war and the Clinton era.

The Unionism of the early 20th century was a hard fought heads busted and mortal injury fight against concentrated wealth to improve the lives of the poor workers. By the end of the cold war when the end of communism in China, Russia and Eastern Europe created vast new pools of labor in competition with U.S. workers, and when factories began to relocate production abroad in order to increase profits exporting product to the U.S.A. from cheap production cost nations, Unionism in the private sector was in steep decline. Feminized government unionism increased its wealth and power becoming old girls clubs in education and government adversely and unrealistically influencing U.S. political development.

A Democratic Party dominated by elites and insular, prosperous unions concerned with expanding its bubble is not cognizant of the interests of the nation's poor and middle class interests. Feminized unionism has supported the dissolution of the traditional family, taught atheistic, immoral social values to youth, and continued to believe that they are agitating against white male concentrations of wealth in 1950s style economic circumstance. That economic structure fled abroad after the end of the cold war.

Feminized Wisconsin unions seek to recall Gov. Walker and halt slippage of union economic leverage downward toward the standard of living of other Americans. it isn't likely that the 70s era feminine union economic bubble through government was ever cognizant that the comparatively remote northern regional economy when fully integrated with the southern states migratory citizenship would drive down the anisotropic northern income advantages. Some would argue that northern unionism helped drive so much U.S.business south. An now it has left the nation entirely even while the unionism of San Francisco and Madison create sanctuary cities for illegal aliens. The feminized unions are not tough warriors for the rights of all American citizens at all.

The feminized union era is a rump unionism compared with those statistics of the glory days of U.S. unionism, yet because it is one of the fundamental channels through which U.S. female economic advantage is distributed it is tenaciously unresponsive to the interests of other non affirmative-action-class citizens unprotected even by special status hate crimes laws.

One should not have to argue for common sense and traditional economic values for the Democratic Party as it was once its heritage in the 20th century. The Democratic Party should fight for zero illegal immigration, full employment through creation of new ecologically restorative, low entropy new businesses, roll back the global trading of home mortgages in the U.S.A. through various means and created safety nets that are used for emergency instead of entitlement.

The Democratic Party should not be the shop steward for privileged government unions requiring private sector taxpayers to fund full insurance benefits for homosexual playthings of government workers. The Democratic Party should not fight for Orwellian corporate health insurance coverage  for all citizens-the Obama plan instead of support for traditional free public clinic health service for the poor and veterans perhaps in the same facilities.

The natural economic balance of the United States in the expanded global labor and production market is for a lower standard of living in comparison to the rest of the world's people. A Democratic Party with meaningful leadership would be aware that feminized union bubbles taking up its agenda tends to block economic response and reform to the new world order of advantage to the majority of Americans. It should return to its populist yet intelligent roots and not become the idiot party that Plato wrote stupidly collapses into tyranny.

The Democrats of Wisconsin should vote to keep Gov. Walker on the job of moving the U.S.A. in the right direction toward and egalitarian social environment in government. Unions should appear last in Government rather than hanging on when the remainder of the economy is in decline.

A non-spoiled unionism would oppose most immigration today except perhaps with a fair lottery of a 180,000 poor people annually from the rest of the world and maybe 300 geniuses beside. It would scrimp up and defend its borders and let the Bush tax cuts expire. it would pay down the U.S. debt and reform government spending so that it serves necessary purposes rather than just accumulating vast public debt that will bring it to ruin eventually. A good union would regard the U.S.A. as a nation with an economy worth defending intrinsically without a large difference between rich and poor earnings (less than a couple orders of magnitude).

Feminized unionism that is a sort of existential bubble unconcerned with the exterior national economy nullifies that prospects for pragmatism that should be first in the minds of democrats along with liberty and justice for all citizens. A Democratic Party co-opted by national and global imperialism isn't worth a damn at defending the rights of all Americans rather than just special classes. It leads a nation into decay and gives the public the need to hope for at least true Republicanism uncorrupted by oligharchy and global wealth with a crank trickle down effect from abroad that will evolve into place within a few thousand years in America.

Mitt Romney to Bail Out the Public Sector from Debt?

The U.S. public debt today is about 15 trillion 775 billion dollars. If President Obama is re-elected the debt might rise above 22 trillion or even 27 trillion dollars. At some point serious cutbacks to public spending will occur and the business sector will lose a certain amount of capital for investment, unless foreign holders of public debt and dollars dump dollars and create a surplus of high inflation. Mitt Romney might still be able to turn back the tide of a nation going the wrong direction.

Mitt Romney will have a tough task before him he takes office. The President was too timid to let tax cuts expire in December 2010 and that let the public debt deepen markedly. If Democrats have any sense they will let the tax cuts expire this year and negotiate with the Republicans to get a 1% of tax cut here and there for the middle class in return for modest reforms in social security entitlements that would cut off any support for retired people earning more than the average working person does.

Mitt Romney does have one advantage-he could select an ecological economist as his Vice Presidential candidate even though the fossil fuel crowd won't like it. Most of them, like myself are A.B.O. voters, and the nation needs in some way in five or ten years to change its economic principals in the direction of complete low-entropy free enterprise.

Americans seem to select the incapable in these decades-life used to be simpler and Americans did fine with that until deciding to get into the First World War precipitating a century of needless subsequent conflicts.

Second Decade of U.S./Muslim Military Actions-Does Any Realistic ReasonExist?

With the tendency of the United States to engage promiscuously in foreign wars with second world Muslim nations entering the second decade it is reasonable enough to wonder if their is any reason to the rhyme beside short-term goals.

The inertia for in the media from the administration has been to reinforce the opposition movement to the present Assad Government undoubtably throwing political fuel onto the conflict's flames of violence...why?

The question of why has many possible answers, yet the continuing reconfiguration of the Muslim world into a more oothodox Muslilm Sunni society seems to be the general direction. Is it an atheist agenda to consolidate the Muslim world into just Sunni and then undermine that finding it simpler to co-opt one large religious order rather than several? Is that a plan to attack Christianity too while dissolving all the traditional bonds that hold society together?

The atheist agenda may be aggressive seeking to dominate social construction in such a way that progressive global concentration of power is given unto a chic elite acceptable to concentrated wealth and repressive of individualism. Just ideas...

Quanta, Leibniz and Extra-Dimensions

 I would like to reply to that point about monads insofar as how it is comparable to membrane and quanta within the string theory paradigm as I understand it generally.

 With the development of math such as finding the square root of minus one useful on Cartesian X-Y graphs so negative numbers can be plotted, and with the development of the graph in three dimensions rather than just two useful for placing coordinates in real space and with the addition of non-visualizable extra-dimensions on such theoretical spaces up to 256 dimensions or more perhaps it is possible to construct 10 dimensional hypothetical structures.

 As I understand it, things such as Calabi-Yau space of extra dimensions help with structuring or channeling quanta of energy.

 When light quanta was shown by Einstein in his Nobel prize winning of 1905-the photo-electric effect, and with the previous discovery that energy from atoms existed in fixed quanta levels physics progressed toward further discoveries in quantum mechanics all the way up to the strong forces and later quarks. The philosophical nature of the quantum structures is easier to explain with extra-dimensional structures in which energy can exist, pass or emerge in just select locations.

 The strong force is a good example with its three quarks that bond stronger as they try to move apart, and there are actually something like 9 quarks in groups of three I seem to remember reading in 'One to Nine'.

 Magnetism has positive and negative poles yet it is probably because the field flows in just one direction in one side and out the other. It may be that all energy flows in such a way with the dimensions that it flows through large and small determining how much quantity of energy is permitted, where it can exist and in what way.

 Though monads or membranes, strings or such may be the smallest presently known units of energy, it is not at all certain that they or any other mapped observation of quanta of energy are the minimal state. It seems that the smaller the energy unit is, or the closer to the underlying field whatever it is, the stronger is the bond that keeps it together, perhaps because the twist that enables it to loop in upon itself as a structure is the most basic.

 Leibniz has spiritual monads or one dimensional membranes as his basic quanta, yet philosophically I wonder about the fundamental paradox of monism and pluralism. I understand that God is a spiritual Being yet He is able to issue a pluralist field through various mysterious ways.

 For the benefit of the hardened atheists out there I must stipulate that an undifferentiated monism that allows itself to become something that appears to be pluralist in the form of strings, membranes, quarks and so forth is a paradigm for itself standing even without regard to atheist opinion, if it exists. It is a philosophically interesting conjecture to me at least...

 Why does an undifferentiated 'energy' become pluralist in various forms?

 Those forms are without real or meaningful time as G.R. and S.R. point out. Time is a phenomenon of energy-mass formations locally without and absolute direction except perhaps in relation to larger macro-structural space-time formations such as the hypothetical Universe and its expansion 13.7 billion years past. Time, as Tillich noted, would be in 'The Eternal Now' for the basic monistic field although the temporal progression of local time varieties of phenomenality arise and flow perhaps comparable to the solar flares while the sun itself goes on for billions of years-yet for the fundamental field that time paradigm is a non sequitur.

Ecco's 'Semiotics and the Philosophy of Language'

 I have been reading 'Semiotics and the Philosophy of Language' by Ecco recently. It is quite a good blend of linguistics, semiotics, and philosophy with history and logic ingredients too. He mentioned Leibniz' idea that God in his relationship to nothingness created the first dialectic. That is a paraphrase not very well said, perhaps another time I will quote that passage from Leibniz' book.

Sartre's tome 'Being and Nothingness' also brings the fundamental idea of Leibniz to the fore of ontology. 

Within Being it is challenging to prove the source of Being ultimately. It is equally difficult to disprove the idea of nothingness, though negations or the absence of something exists for language as well as for physics.

If one relied upon nothingness to prove the non-Creation of somethingness, or multiplied nothing times nothing to disprove something existing, the reliability would be uncertain enough to search for something better I would think.

Within a series of integers extending forever-even sentient integers if one can imagine such existing within a temporal sequence that seems to disappear in the past, the integers might want to rely upon something rather than nothing to prove that the integer series was not created by a Mathematician rather than being a self-standing automatic generator phenomenality.

Well Ecco's book is fine reading anyway.

U.N./Obama View Syria Civil Conflict as Chance for Power Grab?

The Syrian Government was a natural target for agitation and subversion by the Muslim Brotherhood alumni association and various activists following the Arab Spring of revolutions inspired by President Obama's Cairo speech a few years ago. Restoration of the Caliphate that ended after World War One with the decline and fall of the Ottoman Empire has been a goal for some Sunni restorationists since 1923. The 100th year anniversary of the fall of the Caliphate might be a good time to celebrate a partial return to pan-Arab Sunni rule. Obviously getting rid of the Assad-led Alawite Government in Syria is de rigueur for that.

The Alawi have a long history-more than a thousand years, of rugged independent living in Syria and of resisting imperial forces such as the French and Turks. The French regarded the Alawi and the Druze as the only fighters in Syria when they dominated it in the first half of the 20th century. It would be ironic if they U.S. supported crushing the Alawi Government and accomplished the traditional role of oppresor of the Alawi people-even if they are Twelvers. Maybe the U.N. should think about finding another Alawi leader and remove what they believe is a brutal Alawi leader if they must and let the civil tug-of-war proceed from that point without throwing in the towel of independence for the Alawi of Syria.

Perhaps the analysis is over-thinking the issue. When massacres occur following months of the Obama administration goading in support of the insurrection it catalyzes social horror at the extremes of civil conflict. When comfortable television viewers see the victims of social hate they are easy to manipulate into support or acquiescence for international military action. If that action coincides with development of larger political goals it would be useful to use political candor for a change and say so.

When people are marginalized socially by the established economic power for simply existing regardless of their political beliefs as may happen the oppressed realize that the only secular way to get any sort of equal rights and respect from the established class is to kill them. Generally the established class seeks to kill independents and non-conformists as a threat to their domination of the total geo-social realm of reality. Class hatred can develop as a rational response by a coalition to an oppressive class regardless of what their ideas are on academic theories such as communism, socialism, corporatism, capitalism, mercantilism or whatever. Even the illiterate may recognize the rich bad guys kicking them down because they can.

I wonder about Syria and the reality of the protagonists involved as well as the consequences of a post Alawite regime created in large part by Kofi Anan and Barrack Obama through the intermediary of 5000 Sunni civilian sacrificial victims required to stimulate an eventual resolution somewhere for the U.S. Air Force or perhaps Britain to send a Condor Legion for the Just to bomb Basher Assad and his gang of government technocrats back to the stone age with compassionate conservative precision g.p.s. directed warheads.

When it is just pure and deep class hatred who is right and who wrong between two classes? Is it the more powerful that are right because they own the propaganda media and the established powers? When the United State killed 300,000 Iraqi draftees in bunkers or wherever like shooting fish in a barrel during the 2003 war was that less cruel than the execution of civilians and their supporters seeking to destroy the Syrian Government?

My opinion is that much of the conflict of the 20th century was the result of the importunate U.S. intervention of the United States in World War One perhaps bribed by the pagan statue of a French whore with a red light held aloft in New York's harbor. The French donated the statue after losing the 1874 Franco-Prussian war and were counting on American hicks to prop up a subsequent century of corruption and an avoidable bad chain of events from the rise of Hitler and Stalin to Vietnam that would not have occurred if we had stayed out. I believe that any further U.S. military intervention in Syria would be in service of the Machiavellian geo-megalomaniacs seeking to conquer all and step on the unemployed in the U.S.A. in the process.

One knows that all the political and media bullshit about Syria is simply a buildup for U.S. military support. I don't think the process would fool even the voters that get to choose between perverted party A and oligarchy party B each election cycle. Without dedicated political party channels for every party with more than 5 million voters the broadcast media is the main political opinion creating a nation of observers of foreign things supported eventually by U.S. Aircraft interventions.

The United States should fix its economy, restore the health of the ecosphere, have full employment and an intelligent low-entropy economy transition and stay out of promiscuous foreign military interventions.

Avian Flue Update

The possibility that Bird flu could become a pandemic with far more lethality than the 1918 flu epidemic that killed about 20 million people apparently still concerns world biological scientists, defense analysts and politicians. Version A of H5N1 evidently has something greater than a 50% fatality rate for humans as they have no natural immunity.

Having overcome the ethical challenge of publishing information critical for weaponizing the virus as an aerosol so easy lung to lung infection routes are available earlier this year, biological labs in concerned areas are working to produce immunology concoctions to be ready for any sort of future outbreak of H5N1 Type A.

The practical ethical and security challenges of allowing all of the worlds bio research labs to obtain the virus and work on find defenses against arises because any of those labs might have covert activists that would seek to release the virus intentionally in a lethal form. With world aircraft routes one lab might send one air-breathing researcher globally to quickly infect most nations. Additionally some klutz in a biolab might accidentally infect him,her or transgender uncertain self and send the H5N1 type A virus boldly into the social world where no virus has gone before.

On the other hand, the vast galaxy of biolabs may produce a vaccine for H5N1 quickly making the pandemic point moot and an amusing historical incident of over-worry.

Like the H.I.V. virus, modern transportation structures have enabled the acceleration of  infectious disease virus' globally as well as providing modern counter-measures. In the quickening world of mass social communications and viral transmissions the opportunities for disinformation, government paradigm error, viral multiplication and media of existential menace form temporal critical mass structures appearing swiftly like gales arising on the ocean.

Memorial Day and Alternative History

I am a little bit skeptical this memorial day about many things today being in a philosophical disposition. I recall a church lawn with a cross representing powers of ten of each aborted child since 1974-something like 40 to 60 million.

I recently read George S. Patton's poem on Armistice day ending the first world war-it has a glorious opinion about soldierly deaths.

I think though, that the decision of the U.S.A. to enter the First World war was perhaps the pivotal mistake in foreign policy of the last century. If the European powers had continued to grind each other down toward some kind of peace its unlikely that World War Two would have occurred, the holocaust also wouldn't have happened and Lenin would have continued his N.E.P. reform policy and Stalin wouldn't have become leader of the Soviet Union.

I believe that the Ottoman Empire would have continued in the middle east to slowly wither away with Arab enmity directed towards Turkey rather than the west, and the United State might have entered war on the side of China to liberate Manchuria occupied by Japan if Japan had attacked Pearl harbor and Attu which isn't likely.

The cold war would never have happened and a German aristocracy resembling that of today's Britain might have developed a stable social environment. The First World War ended with an armnistace leaving many German veterans convinced they had not lost. It also brought the end of the German aristocracy with a leftist led revolution to get rid of the war government and replace it with a popular government. That process led to many internal German changes such as the ending of the 700 year old Bavarian principality and the rise of the German Democratic Socialist party led by Adolph Hitler.

With a weakened Germany following the end of the First World War the Soviet Union was able to build up its military forces while Germany was tied down by the onerous terms of the armistice. With the aristocracy gone and populism rising with much communist activity the German Army leadership sent the charismatic Hitler to take over the German Democratic Socialist Workers Party and the rest is history; the populist NAZI party was able to agitate against the communists and received approval in that regard from the deposed aristocrats. Logical political developments as a series of reactions to internal and external political organization and events were challenges prompting responses. The United States failed to realize the consequences of destroying the comparatively moderate German aristocracy in creating a very imbalanced and unstable Europe with the military intervention.

When the United States intervened in the First World War it upset the balance that had been reached between Germany and Russia. Lenin had signed off on the treaty of Brest-Litovsk giving away the Ukraine to Germany, and it isn't improbable that Stalin and others hated Lenin deeply for that later finding an excuse to poison Lenin.

With the second world war as has been said the last battle of the First World War the allies pumped up Stalinist Russia with arms and intelligence in order to roll up Hitler. If Clemenceau's advice that the U.S.A. not sign a separate treaty with Germany that did not guarantee the peace had been followed another opportunity to avoid the Second World War might have forestalled the great changes ahead.

Because the Soviet Union presided over a wrecked Eastern Europe the Cold War and the nuclear arms race developed. The Vietnam War was enabled by the tremendous military power that the United States had enabled Stalin to gather during the Second World War and its aftermath.

When so many people die following bad foreign policy decisions its a little like a chess game in time that reduces the options one may take as the game unfolds. Now the U.S.A. is moving beyond the middle game in its bad political intervention decisions and failing to upgrade the quality of life of its citizens consistently.

That's some of why I am skeptical today of Memorial Day observations by a nation pursuing oil development globally, polluting the atmosphere and spending more on war than realistic national defense of environment and quality of life of the poor.

Parable of Quacks in Grecian Economic Tragedy

Everyone is searching for a Grecian formula to restore the faded luster of the founding state of western civilization. Many wonder if Greece should leave Europe and bring back the Drachma. Euripides wrote brilliant tragedies in ancient Greece that inspire moderns to emulation in the theater of the absurd macro-economic policy called the Eurozone. Alaska has righted its economic future relying upon Trans-Canada and Exxon to build a gas pipeline across Alaska one day so the state government can exemplify self-determination and that resolute frontier spirit.

While the Eurozone may not have its own Jack London right now, it has got the example of American nationalism for a model in building up Greece today. Federalism in the United States developed to assure that its Eurozone forerunner of the 19th century permitted free trade amongst the states without tariffs or taxes that were unfair. If a state had economic troubles while other states were thriving the federal government would lend a hand with a T.V.A. program or mini-Marshall plan for the region.

Europe today seems to have two economic doctors with opposing plans. One calls for the austerity of amputating the legs of Greek Government spending while the other wants to put Greeks on a regime of heroin, Valium and reality T.V. It is believed by some that neither of those would bring the patient Greek Government to health.

What is required of a Eurozone that works well is a beneficial federal interventionism along with spending cuts for Greece. Cutting Greek spending without providing alternative investment and finance stimulus would be a one way design to reduce the Greek Government to a facade condition while the people would find no national ability to build up a local economy with the stratospheric Eurozone thriving economies far overhead investing in globalism.

The United States since the end of the cold war has been hard at work dismantling its own federalism and nationalism in favor of globalism that tends to impoverish the national economy and national government’s economic health as tax cuts and foreign investments do little to create a healthy national economy. Federalism in the Eurozone that works would need to regard the nations of Europe more as states were in the U.S.A. between 1865 and 1990.

Federalism and globalism combined tends to tie the hands of member states or nations from helping themselves nationally while global banks corporations are free to locate wheresoever they will. I suppose the logical direction of such policy would be to concentrate real wealth in China or wherever the global economic powers determine their best prospects to be. Fortunately the U.S.A. and Greece each have a proud history with much consolation symbolically speaking as they adapt to bread lines and Soviet style repression of national sentiment and expression.
