Logic and the Western History Viewpoint in Schools

The philosophy of history is an interesting subject. Plainly though one need differentiate actual history from the academic investigation and writing of history books. The history of the world is what it was, historians can only discover it and hopefully accurately reconstruct abstracts of what actually occurred.

If one thinks about it there are particular reasons why the quantitative distribution of history works and projects have developed unevenly regarding modern nations and people that are logical. It would be wrong to assume that publlc education management selections of what to teach in schools equals the quantity or quality of history books actually existing in the world. Consider one obvious fact though that influences what books school administrators encounter; they need choose books written in the language they are teaching students. In the United States the language used is English and thus history books written by English speaking people with their viewpoint have comprised the bulk of selections and instructions to students. That is a western point of view.

One of the most fun points of learning general history is in finding areas to learn about that are completely new. After reading for some time most of  the history of world regions becomes exhausted. One must look into more detail to learn new things regardless of it being Asian, African, Latin American, Canadian, Russian or U.S. history etc.

Writing history books also requires a particular environment and standard of living. The Inca 'wrote' or recorded history books in rope knots that no one can translate today. The high humidity of African, South American and other jungles rot paper. Cave paintings remain in some places for tens of thousands of years yet perhaps not graphic novels without language. Prehistory leading to places that could transition to language inscribed on clay tablets i.e. Mesopotamia and ancient Sumer created more channels for recording history than the far north after 25,000 B.C. when humans began to move there in small numbers as the Wisconsin Ice Age slowly ended. The far north environment did not help produce paper making or written languages and historical and social advances that follow as technical knowledge quantity can be kept with increasing range.

Much history publication followed the invention of the printing press in the west. In China there is much historical material available, and of course poetry. There is a good recent series that recounts some of the Fall of Civilizations on Han China including the experience of a poet returning to his hometown that was a burnt down former imperial capital. One could write quite a bit on the philosophy of history, yet I have other interests presently.

Cush and the River of History

There is a paper on Ethiopia and the Bible by Sampson S Ndoga that is named "Biblical Portrayal of Ethiopia as a Challenge to Western Perspectives of Africa". I have used several facts from that paper in writing the following...

Cush and the Flow of the River of History

Beyond the 6th Cataract of the Nile
people of burnt faces lived
to rule Egypt in the 25th dynasty
to send officials to Israel during the Babylonian invasions
to field a large structured army
to serve as tools of God
chastising the wayward nation of Jacob/Israel/Judah
-yet Asa appealed to God who let Israel prevail... 2nd Chronicles 14:"8 And Asa had an army of men that bare targets and spears, out of Judah three hundred thousand; and out of Benjamin, that bare shields and drew bows, two hundred and fourscore thousand: all these were mighty men of valour.
9And there came out against them Zerah the Ethiopian with an host of a thousand thousand, and three hundred chariots; and came unto Mareshah."

The Kingdom of Cush began south of Meroe
the prophet Jeremiah with his scribe Baruch
mentions Cush 53 times, later called Nubia
why Ebed-Melech of Cush, The Servant of King Zedekiah
rescued Jeremiah, is known to God
the name Melech means ‘king’

Servant referred to a high official
so the servant-king rescued the prophet
who was incarcerated for being against war
and for peace with Babylonian imperial designs
Melech Malchei HaMelachim- in Hebrew the king of kings
Neuchanezzar chose to destroy Jerusalem
to end its resistance
the region was federalized in a sense
the changes persisting even when Babylon soon left
with regional government infrastructure updated

Africans are referred to 577 times in the Old Testament
often as Cushites
early writers used the term Ethiopians to mean Africans
and Ethiopia the Eastern South Atlantic

Emperors and Kings sometimes
trusted few at court around their women
making eunichs of advisers
Zhenge He and Ebed Melech were cut by royal force
Phillip gave an Ethiopian eunich educator reading Isaiah
the word of the Lord
receiving the good news to edify and save
the faithful to the south
ref. Acts 8:34-37

Ethiopia was the name taken by Ezana
king of Aksumites in the 4th century C.E.
to his national boundaries
somewhat like that of Cush, Nubia, the Sudan
and modern Ethiopia

Like much of the rest of the world
people are challenged by thermodynamics of original sin
in conflict with knowledge, being and time
and the will of the Lord and Spirit
directing the flow of history
goes past them freely willed
with it predermined-
maybe retrocausality lets free will of the lost
choose their course for-themselves
though it is predestined so.

The Physicist of All Seasons (a poem)

Like a snow globe
a quartz stone refracting light
held in a hand
brings colors to sight
like a world well planned

Drawing the faithful to God
reminders across the sky
rainbows for reasons
answer questions of construction why
the Physicist of seasons
refracts tensor wavelengths of pi

Slowing light waves through mediums showing
light over horizons glowing
under storm clouds parting before night
show seven colors of heavenly sight.

Superbowl vs Wrestling (the poem)

The new world order
chiefly eagle clan opinions
strength considered, speed discussed
three weeks of analysis
technically in the rough
put in from the woods
reds vs greens
before the window opened on Arizona
Elon Musk on camera seen

To the last minute
halftime ever off
smoke and mirror entrances
lost to silent screen gauss
deep in distant desert
offenses rampaging scored
defenses shot through methodically
referee'd bungled calls grew
pickled pixels boxed too
DDT' put Eagles down
to ground signals fibering boxes
evermore
higlights of the raven
until the last round of next draft.

The Human Race that Passes Away (poem)

Wars upon itself
is destined to die
rots like garbage at a landfill
admires shiny things
adds darkness to darkness
believes its lies
with all sincerity
perishes on the conveyor belt of time

It has hope in nothing
nouns, verbs and adverbs are words
it loves matter
matter and fleshy things\not even adjectives
though it works

Jesus Christ the Redeemer was/is
in-himself for-others
with the Spirit
eternity is a thought
donation of being and time
without death
that passes away.

Slave Trade Networks; Historical Origin paradigmata

The origins of slavery is an interesting yet somewhat vague topic to most Americans. Since this is the ending phase of the U.S. National Black history month I thought I would contribute a thesis idea if not a thesis on the Muslim origins of the European and American slave trade.

Islamic slavers captured and enslaved Africans before the rise of European exploitation of the black human resource I would guess. The Umayyad had invaded Spain and attacked Sicily and Constantinople long before European ship development had trans-Atlantic capability.

Of course Europe too had slavery for-itself as is well known from Greek history. Romans too had slavery as did Carthaginians. Each likely had black slaves, although Caesar in his book The Civil War, I believe it was, described a battle with a black General named Numa in North Africa. So the degree of black slavery was less perhaps then, and Europe itself not full of black slaves, as was the U.S.A. later where 50% of the southern states population was black.

At some point after 622 C.E. Mohammedans embarked on a vast expansion north, south and west from Arabia. Slavery was simply a part of human society in that era of low government enforcement capability outside of war and direct condign measures capability. African slaves and slave networks may have been worked into the business models of entrepreneurs of the region.

For several centuries after the protracted war between Islam and Europe with incessant pressure from Islam advancing the battle line northward slaves were a part of the complexity of society and perennial war. In the sea change year of 1492 Columbus discovered the Americas for Europe and the final Moors were driven from Spain at Grenada. Yet interactions had been established and slave trade networks and situations for capture and export of slaves existed that might be expropriated by European human traffickers. Slavery was a ripe business for the age of European exploration and hegemony over North Africa. It flourished in the Americas as the development of European conquest continued, especially driven by continuing Muslim pressure on the eastern front with the fall of Constantinople to the Osmanli Muslims in 1453 and the Sublime Porte's conquests in Serbia and siege of Vienna in 1683. Building up American colonies quickly in order to provide resources to defend against Mohammedans may have added a drafting effect on importation of African slaves to America, if the competition between Europeans themselves for colonial territories wasn't enough.

Tweaking the Moon's Dirt to Sustain Healthy Plant Growth

The European Space Agency is making a study of Lunar agricultural methods. The Moon's dirt, named regolith, has the right minerals for healthy plant growth except nitrogen yet reportedly compacts too much when watered with deleterious impact on plant growth.

https://www.extremetech.com/extreme/343300-european-space-agency-launches-12-month-lunar-farming-study

To prevent compaction of the regolith with watering perhaps pellet filters made from compacting or fusing the rock should be added to the dirt to create filler-spacing elements in it. Some plants might grow better in a hydroponic paradigm yet it would be good to be able to change the composition of the regolith with matter from the regolith itself to render it useful for growing plants. Plainly changing the mass of the moon is a bad idea yet scientists can calculate that reasonably well and add or subtract mass from it to renormalize. Electro-magnetic mass drivers should be able to bail out the moon from too much mass arriving. Agriculture for-itself wouldn't change the gross mass of the moon after all the beans had been accounted for.

Propping Up Ukraine Costs U.S. $75 Billion a Year

At some point seventy-five billion dollars becomes real money. Because the Democrat Party refuses to acknowledge Russia's historical ownership of Ukraine and share the eastern half with Russia through negotiations it has taken the course of war to have it all for the European Community. Meanwhile Russia's FIDE chess organization has quit Europe and is joining the Asian confederation. Needless to say the cold war mentality of the Democrat Party is an ossified-brain mindset that requires Russia to be an enemy instead of a neutral to positive ally with the steep cost associated with that.

https://www.pbs.org/newshour/politics/heres-how-much-aid-the-u-s-has-sent-to-ukraine

https://www.usnews.com/news/world/articles/2023-02-23/ukraine-imposes-50-year-sanctions-on-russian-financial-sector

If things actually went well for Democrat Party objectives in Russia and the Russian military was pushed out of all areas recognized by Democrats as western property and an armistice was declared like that ending the First World War it is probable that the status would be like that in 1918 when the foundation for World War Two was laid. At the very least a long term enmity with a perennial Russian adversary requiring U.S. defense spending and possibly military garrisons in Ukraine would arise with Russia and China becoming more integral militarily speaking concerning defense at the Von Biden line demilitarized zone. Europe would have its own Korean war never-ending situation starting in a far more technologically dangerous era.

Democrats have a what me worry disposition toward the conflict since it is not on the woke agenda that is largely a Democrat Party support strategem. Woke is the post-rainbow era homosexual vanguard for integral Democrat Party support that hates hate and is just pro-love love without wars or caused by people with traditional values and morality. Woke may be inspired by Frederick Nietzsche's Thus Spake Zarathustra and Beyond Good and Evil. Democrat leaders may regard themselves as being beyond good and evil paradigmata of traditional moral norms.

Carnival of Confusion (a poem)

Woke to confusion
simplified streaming politics
hand shaken shoulder
archaic rumbles of discontent
deep in the bellly of the beast
brought the cave of reality
to the bright light of fusion

Quark-built complete complex of compresence
economy of ideas consolidated like wealth
in a moment of sangfroid
when all was real like bits of a matrix
Democritus took Newton's spinning bucket too far
Wheeler's retro-causality
certainty undermined by an existential doubt
meditations upon a method being-for-itself
epistemologically other; ideas of ideas

Descartes pinched himself, then Sally did
with Marx selling seashells by the shore
of time and plutocrats, Walruses and automats
awoke in dogmatic slumber
before pure reason empirically seasoned
comprehended causality as formations of judgments
posteriori, a priori, synthetic a priori
carnivals of creativity
word universes of propositions and logics
described the great show on Earth.

Authenticating Twits, Twerps and Trumps

After so many years of dominant tweets on twitter one might wonder why a social network for twerps hasn't been formed. Donald Trump's social network doesn't have that twittishness to it that a rival network like a twerp should have. Even if one can verify for a fee that one is a genuine twit ot twerp. a social network cannot claim success simply by charging extra to have a badge of authenticity to make twits, twerps andr trumps trussworthy.

An Economy of Insiders (a poem)

Insider A.I. swimming in dark pools
over borders of transistor claws
basic worlds wit morphed designs
general intellect advances more song

Interesting thoughts that live in the air
with those who breathe and share them
fairly deleted beyond network wires
sore twerps would rend and tear rem

Planning battles with millisecond thrift
Japan crashed on real estate
U.S. and, China learned miffed
withdrawing investments overseas TaihuLight
calculates probabilities deep through the night

Internal neural logic amplified sensors
employed funky monkeys
making them censors
officers retired to golden ponds
amid livid rivers of holographic renter bonds

Cracker box palaces for one human race
run out of step, running in place
eco decline somewhere out there
externalities of concern share still warming air

Species extirpated; maybe mankind too
mildly troubling calculations
wherewithal masses can't do
when leaders few, economics drift.

At Low Tide (poem)

Wild waves turned the skiff toward its side
surfing through crests
descending with troughs
salt water splashed strangely soft
rainy dusk strained
eyes looking on distant breakers

Reach Slocum Inlet, port turn Frederick Sound
Limestone Inlet in darkness found
bear and sea sky'd
she rested on sand at low tide.

Retire the Spigot of A.I.'s Harsh Light (the poem)

Artificial Intellect on deck swabbing fiction letters
the Missouri biden its time, mothballed for warre
unheard little robots dance a song
high in the Alp deserts just wrong
wince with plucky strings quarked up
down the Escherian starcase, a mobius diction
intellect simplifies artificially
assembled language withn pan-temporal mystery
parrots of Keating pasting Wordsworth mold chilling
versified paradises of green chords fullfilling
history dialectically resemblng
D.N.A.'s programmatic scores like whalesong gongs
A.I. brings disordered order and non-sense to structure
walking the plank for-itself, and for-others.

Hydrogen May Be Plentiful Underground

Developing hydrogen underground that accumulates in ways comparable to oil-yet is naturally renewable, may become a solution to the energy crisis that generates greenhouse gases.

https://www.science.org/content/article/hidden-hydrogen-earth-may-hold-vast-stores-renewable-carbon-free-fuel

Transporting concentrated hydrogen could be difficult yet it needn't be. A national network of pipelines made to cool superconducting power lines and built deep below interstate highways could be the prime distribution network after enough quantity is located in the country. A well has been drilled in Nebraska by HyTerra that is conducting flow tests of hydrogen this month.

https://stockhead.com.au/energy/hyterra-all-set-for-testing-of-nebraska-natural-hydrogen-well/

Perhaps it's possible to pump  water deep underground in appropriate locations to stimulate natural creation of hydrogen?  One natural process is called serpentinization (not named for the devil's winter home in hell) where "water reacts with iron-rich (very hot) rocks (deep underground) to produce hydrogen".

Joe Visits a Charnel House (1 poem)

I would not count Alexander Pope
for essays on criticism emulatable
or rhyming Sopho’s lines
with free verse quite inflatable

The Rubicon of signs is language to bear
shaggy, woolly, mammoth
saber toothed tares
sewn to the winds bright froth foam to share

Tawddgyrch Cadwynog, Cyhydedd Hir
through woods’ too lonely, dark and deep
with double trouble, soil and grub
lay crenelated rubble- iambic pentameters to keep

Noh rhyme fated vines to people kind maidens
or fill the fields of echo’s hallowed havens
where warre trod heavily over winter’s mists
for many a son felt death’s fast swift kiss

Poems were hollow those fated morns
when politicians made themselves living statues
the legend shot out hope with the mind of a gun
leaving good reason no good place to run

Write, write till the art’s content
of prosody and power, shrapnel and bowers
lives spent without thinking
calculations for-others, tolled bells tinkle hours

  One foot after another
lines march forward through time
pile up bodies of stanzas
with verses and rhyme

Make poems, not war.

The city subsides in time

over the past
bridge of size
executing present work
excavations tourists find
dark canals of history
paintings from the Doge's prime.

Democrat's Ukraine Policy Might Be Daft

The United States has supplied lethal arms to Ukraine since the Obama administration. Presently the administration is complaining and 'warning' China against supplying the same to Russia, as if China need necessarily comply with the United States on foreign policy goals or ever has.

https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/world/u-s-warns-china-not-to-send-weapons-to-russia-for-ukraine-war/ar-AA17GoO5?cvid=7804b5c4952946a7b13e30b3d79dd9bd

Unintelligent leadership can bring less than desirable results. The Democrat Party has consistently demonstrated an inability to comprehend the consequence of their actions. Instead of selecting lines of foreign policy relations that are realistic they select lines that are optimal for-themselves and label their opponent criminal. Democrat lawyer-Presidents believe international law supports whatever they choose to do in effect, as the 'leader' of the 'free' world with less than half of the world's population.

The Biden administration sent its first large shipment of weapons to Ukraine January 2022- before the start of the Ukraine war. The weapons build up demonstrated U.S. intent, especially as it encouraged the Baltic states to send weapons to Ukraine, and may have been a trigger for Russia to invade before things got worse.

From 2014 to the start of the Ukraine war the U.S. ‘committed’ 30 billion dollars to Ukrainian security according to a report by the Congressional Budget Office. https://crsreports.congress.gov/product/pdf/IF/IF12040 -report may no longer be available

https://www.cfr.org/article/how-much-aid-has-us-sent-ukraine-here-are-six-charts

Some have noted the basic inability of Democrats to adjust to the end of Cold War I and form good new relations with Russia. Much of the U.S. economy and several states with Democrat party federal delegations had invested in Cold War production and defense related capabilities. It seems as if the economic base and inertia brought the Democrat Party to revert to hostile foreign relations although for a time in the 1990s it seemed as if a new. better and different footing was growing. The Ukraine War is a logical result of the traditional belligerent U.S. relationship with Russia. Democrat party desire to dictate China's foreign policy regarding Russia is equally an assertion of what might be viewed by China as hegemonic imperialism.

It is possible that China will supply a fraction of U.S. lethal weapons support to Ukraine to Russia in order to defrappe N.A.T.O.'s hegemonic expansion eastward. China has invested much in Russia's arctic and supports development of Russian natural resources including oil and gas in order to have plentiful, stable, cheap energy to replace unreliable western supplies that could be cut off in the future when the Democrat Party deems sanctions appropriate. U.S. leadership may need to accept the fact that China has different interests than the U.S.A. in the Arctic, Russia and Asia and is still a growing economy the U.S. relies upon for manufacturing. With China and India as Russian friends or neutrals the supply of cheap labor may dry up for U.S. capitalists. A realistic foreign policy would have settled the Ukraine affair long ago with concessions to Russia that recognized their historical and valid claims to own much if not all of Ukraine. The E.U. and the Democrat Party have a different narrative of course.

Chinese leadership may supply substantial quantities of weapons to Russia in order to prevent a Russian defeat before the 2023 U.S. Presidential election when a Republican has a better than even chance of being elected. A Republican President probably could bring a negotiated end to the war by cutting off continuing arms shipments to Ukraine. Restoring good relations with Russia is rather important if the United States is to continue to participate in a global economy without a significant east-west split. The split global economy probably wouldn't be helpful for U.S. capitalists at all. The Chinese and Indian economies are growing while the U.S.A. has low economic growth and vast public debt relying on cheap Chinese imports for consumers. U.S. capitalists have invested a lot in China in Asian production.

Present prosperity for concentrated wealth in the United States that owns much of the national income- more than 50% goes to a tiny minority of citizens, may have led Democrat leadership to a certain degree of hubris in its will to power through lawsuits and military force. Peaceful evolutionary economics transition as swiftly as possible to ecological economic durability with such a great population is much preferred to war so far as U.S. national interests are concerned.

Pond of Opulence (the poem)

 Pond of Opulence

The eye beheld opulence
like nature’s melted glaciers
romantic aesthetics’ confluence
just moved with Occam’s razor

Shadows and mist settled on the pond
with rasping sounds frogs croaked the song
of stars reduced to gossamer light
silently moving through borrowed night

Compresence shaped the rising breeze
thermals carried time to dark black trees
fire sought the sole survivor
who dreamt with dawn's designer
of summer-ending freeze.

Dialectical Materialist Capitalism Evolved a Thesis Against Russia

Karl Marx foresaw paradoxically, the final status of unlimited capitalism in the communist state. That is a non-competitive workers paradise under the benevolent guidance of severe supervisors under the dictatorship of the party elite would compete with thesis and counter-thesis against external enemies of the state. Capitalism evolves in a process of dialectical materialism at a mature stage when corporations compete against rival corporations and capitalization clumps. Corporate logic and power as a thesis encounters counter-thesis with survivors as winners, sometimes in a new synthesis of corporate consolidating merger. Capital increases faster than the wages of labor obviously so wealth concentrates and the dialectical evolution in myriad contests reduces the numbers of competitors until eventually the state itself becomes dominated by the ultimate corporate winner under consolidated wealth and power.

https://economics.stackexchange.com/questions/18790/hayeks-defense-of-competition-regulation

In the global post-war competition for wealth and power the number of competitors has reduced especially with the rise of the European Union. Russia is an external rival to the European Union, while China is too yet China is also a great economic producer for corporate profits of the west and is thus somewhat immune from direct western aggression, while Russia is not.

Russia let go of its Soviet system of which it was the core state, an opted for a free society with the promise of western prosperity ahead if it emulated the ways of the west. Unfortunately for Russia the west took advantage of the letting down of Russia’s guard to take most of the former east block countries that had been occupied by Russia in its war against Nazi Germany in the 1940s into its N.A.T.O. military fold and create the power to make integral areas of the former Russia in Ukraine in the dominion of the west and European Union. Russian leadership had misjudged the nature of western society sufficiently to need war to attempt to retake the Crime and areas of the Ukraine borderlands. Russia today is regarded by the west as an external rival to hegemony over Central Europe. The EU thesis and its ad hoc allies are advancing the dialectical materialist front upon the counter-thesis from the east; Russia.

Marx didn’t develop his principle of dialectical materialism/evolution universally, and instead believed it was applicable only to his simplistic model of historical political economies. He saw capitalism as a solid unified member growing from the petty bourgeois to the bourgeois and viewed them as tools of aristocrats without seeing the process of dialectical materialist evolution among groups of capitalists in the modern economy. Dialectical material capitalism is a developing form of communism. Marx saw the communist state arising from revolution rather than evolution, and saw evolution in dialectical materialism as occurring between rival economic systems instead of within the economic system of capitalism itself.

After the Conquest (the poem)

A poem promoted by Isaiah 60:12

The surge of power flowed upon the land
across the river Eber-nari felt the tide
Assyrians inundating the Levant
with the wrath of imperial power
Tiglath Pilesar II ruled

Government forced upon the separate states
Isaiah saw the good
through the darkness of Marduk’s leash-holders
with Anubis to the south
dogs of destruction
he could see order brought to chaos

Isaiah knew the Lord would correct
Sargon II’s talons of power
he felt hope growing beyond a wave
when conquest descended on Samaria and Judah
even so an imperial presence
altered the servants’ path

With faith in God
though Nebuchadnezzar threw down Assyria
taking Hattu-land like a dream
reigning war and order from a distance
until crumbling a rebellion
and the temple in 571 B.C.E.

Isaiah foresaw the glory of the Lord
rebuilding the Temple in something greater
the temple of God in the heart and minds
living in God’s eternal light.
