Would Iran Control Persian Gulf Entrances With Revolution in Bahrain?

When the Saudi royal family sent 150 armored personnel carriers to reinforce the Bahraini royal government-a Sunni government like that of the Saudi, I was reminded of the long shadow cast by the radical Shia government of Revolutionary Iran in middle eastern affairs. If the civil uprising in Bahrain by Shia militants led to an abdication and takeover to Shia rule, would Americans observe formation of a democratic government in Bahrain by people speaking a language that has no words for democracy in it?

For domestic U.S. news consumption we learn that uprising in the Middle East by organizers using Twitter and Facebook invariable would create a democratic government if successful. If sectarian rule is democratic with complete repression of the opposite Islamic mosques and people from government perhaps that is so. Nevertheless there are many questions to ponder on the issue of political stability in the strategically important tiny nation of Bahrain.

How did a Sunni ruling class form historically in Bahrain, and where did the Shia come from that live in Bahrain today-were they illegal aliens arriving after the British created the nation following world war one?

If Shiist government takes over will Grand Ayatollah Sistani of Iraq be there spiritual guide, or will it be the Supreme Guide Khomeinehi of Iran? If a Shia government takes over will Iran home-port naval warships there to control both sides of the entrance to the Persian Gulf? Will Iran deploy missiles to Bahrain able to hit all Saudi oil production facilities from the Red Sea to the Persian Gulf? Will Iran sponsor the creation of the Hezbollah political party in Bahrain as it supports Hezbollah in the Lebanon? Americans have no answers to most of these simple questions reaching mundane political discussion.

Saudi Arabia is the wealthiest of Arab nations. The oil of the nation is half gone already, and one must wonder about the prosperity of a Saudi Arabia with a democratic government locked in civil, political turmoil and economic management something more like that of the United States; would it begin running deficits too and accelerate the wasting of its natural oil wealth before returning to the desert status of Yemen? Perhaps a slow evolution to a constitutional monarchy is in Saudi Arabia’s future. The effort to continuously grow national prosperity I that nation may perhaps suffer with too much restive political agitation if not pluralistic terrorist actions in support of takedown of the government. Such leveraged underpinning would not necessarily be followed by construction of a democratic government. We might think to ask who the people are, where they are from, what additional interests are present and so forth in regarding the opposition constituency in Twitter-Facebook inspired ‘instant’ uprisings seeking to borrow U.S. political and military power.

Atomic Power Investors Say Everyone is Radioactive Already-No Worries

Numerous talking heads defending nuclear power plant construction and the no-danger nature of atomic fission piles producing electricity have reassured the public that everyone already emits radiation themselves and a little more won’t hurt them. They also say that nuclear power plants are a ‘smart choice’, yet each premise is false.

Hanford Nuclear Reservation in Washington State still has an unfunded 50 billion dollar clean-up cost. Hanford was the site of the nation’s first federal nuclear power facility and has a few mothballed plants there that cost taxpayers billions and billions.

Market forces have conquered U.S. government economic policy planning. President Obama threw in the toll on ending Bush era tax cuts wholeheartedly indicating his underlying market political philosophy. That market philosophy of government is based on economic and social science theories since the 70’s the government isn’t capable of rational economic intervention-it can only bail out large market players when they stumble because of imperfect knowledge of the market conditions.

That is a kind of rational market existential philosophy. The poor are deleted from Democratic political concerns, as is full employment as they have signed off on a natural unemployment rate versus rise of inflation (NAIRU) paradigm as an unavoidable deterministic fact.

Market philosophy dominance of politics can neutralize the reality of democracy. Democratic governments, it is held, should not moderate economics through public sector goal setting and intervention. Instead, they should reinforce the market and let the democracy of buying stock be the rationality that determines governance. Power is implicitly found in the market culture. Electrical power supply and consumption management should be a part of government duty in regard to national paradigm setting. Absolute power supply and consumption in itself may become absolutely corrupt when market forces alone determine the philosophical parameters of its use. All of nature-all of the mass that exists is an equivalent of energy. Atomic fission and fusion of mass to release energy is best left to nature, and the natural history of evolution of the cosmos, for the stars and other processes. Human and other biological life exists at a much different temperature range and should innovate more benign methods of harnessing power to sustain itself and its life processes.

A blind government reliant upon the magic hand of market structuring of society is one that finds atomic power plants ‘smart’. It also support coal, cap and trade, oil consumption and whatever else develops on the market. The ideas of government setting goals and criteria for the market are lost. Democratic governance becomes dumb.

If the U.S. Government were to make nuclear plants, coal plants producing emissions, strip mining of coal and hydro electric dams illegal the national ecology would reasonable be better off. The market values increased consumption however, and thus atomic power plants are regarded as ‘smart’ ways to keep the nation’s power consumption increasing.

Ecological values and values for human survival as well as national independence differ from pure market values quite often. In fact many value theories and systems exist from which a democracy may select those that best enhance the quality of life of the citizens. If dangerous, ecospherically disruptive energy technologies are banned in the United States the market would evolve, like a forest in the devastated St. Helen’s eruption aftermath, to grow a new forest to fill in the empty wasteland.

The market finding atomic, coal and hydroelectric power banned would value wind, solar, geothermal and fuel cell power highly and invest in tech races to supply new power technology. Superconductor technology would be applied along with better building design and insulation strategies. Smart new methods of living and producing and using electricity would flow directly into the voids left by the departure of 1920’s era coal, oil and hydroelectric power along with half century old nuclear-power for peace paradigms.

Atomic power plants are high on a list of implicit threats to life on Earth. In some future global conflict thousands of the plants could be destroyed and hundreds or thousands of years of destruction and/or mutation to human and other living species become a routine fact of the planetary surface and oceanic depths.

Minimum Income for Unemployed in NAIRU Equillibrium?

Beyond Samuelson text-bookonomics, beyond monetarism and Keynsianism, the supply side of Lafferian market march madness with no borders has transcended and largely negated the concept of government collective macro-economic interventions. The Democratic Party has accepted the concept of NAIRU-the natural anti-inflation rate of unemployment and pure market individualism with deemphasis of the nation’s poor. It should be possible to compensate for the natural rate of structural unemployment by providing a minimum income for the unemployed who will not find work because economic theory does not permit a certain percentage of a population to be employed.

Designing programs to provide medical service or the poor for free would best lower the cost of medicine in the United States. The poor cannot afford insurance or health services when they need them, so providing free clinics for the poor would not take money away from medical providers. As it is the public must absorb the cost of emergency room treatments the poor are forced to seek, and the cost is passed on to those that can afford medical services.

With a minimum national income a standardization of subsistence policy for the unemployed, undesirable and hopeless would be created that would enable a functional level of social fluidity and opportunity to make ends meet in ad hoc reinforcement for training opportunities. Minimum free enterprise might also be supported by the innovative with a minimum income.

Some might argue that if the natural unemployment rate is 5%, those five per cent should suffer until they find work and a rotating door of sharing the pain of destitution might eliminate the need of a minimum income. Some might argue that some people would not work with a national minimum income-yet if some quit jobs to receive a minimum income that would free up a job opportunity for someone receiving a federal minimum income who is looking for a job that pays at least 300% more than the minimum.

Economic realism matters in a society that seeks a natural functioning social flow equivalent to that provided by nature from which any individual cold naturally extract subsistence with a less challenging demographic and legal situation. Society should not use NAIRU as a lever for eugenics policy to rid society perennial of those deemed undesirable. With bad social judgment, or even malign supernatural influence, a society might evolve itself out of existence.

Kennedy Spaced Center Discovery of 4.2 Grams of Suspected Cocaine

Well, I heard the song 'whitie's on the moon' on the radio a while ago. I don't sympathize with an anti-space policy at all, yet an anti-spaced policy is actually necessary for safe space flight.

One wonders what other things they might take aloft to get really high.

http://www.space.com/11128-nasa-kennedy-space-center-cocaine.html

Plainly the use of narcotics or narcotics smuggling around space vehicles should be discouraged and a moon base for research constructed with a zero tolerance for cocaine policy strictly enforced.

Topic 1 John Baker WIns Iditarod/Topic 2; Moose Memory

In just 8 days 19 hours and 46 minutes an experienced dog musher from Alaska won the race over fast snow from Willow Alaska to Nome. It was the 39th Iditarod race. Congratulations Mr. Baker, it's undoubtably a tough and chilling course.

http://www.thenewstribune.com/2011/03/15/1585496/john-baker-wins-iditarod-in-record.html

It is obvious that humans know where things are spatially, and dogs too have returned to their home from long distances, yet I wonder about moose.

This morning a large bull moose was trapped against a concrete wall at the edge of a sidewalk on a busy street in Anchorage. It was able to leap up over the wall and onto a lawn. Do moose in Anchorage have memory of where green spaces are or of how to find their way out of the town into the wild or is it just trial and error hoping to get out of places with unfreindly cars moving about ?

Compared to humans with garmin gps devices for land navigation, how good is moose memory? Do they choose to wander about in dangerous areas or is it just the bad luck of the draw?

Iran’s Khomeinist Revolutionary Government Subversions in the Middle East

Iran’s Khomeinist revolution of 1979 elevated a radical Nazi style government into power. A revolutionary shadow government rules the state government. Even the President of Iran is ruled by ‘The Supreme Guide’. So long as Mahmoud Ahmadinejad leads the twin tower policy of destruction of the United States and of Israel he is reinforced by the revolutionary radical Shiite sect of ‘twelvers’ that are religious mullahs.

Americans tend to approach the Khomeinist regime of Iran as if it were made of intelligent, decent people with whom they might find common ground to negotiate good terms with-that is simply wrong. The Khomeinist are hell bent for the destruction of the United States. Though Senator Obama as a presidential candidate used Mahmoud Amadinijab's campaign slogan for his own 'we can', the twin Presidencies are a world apart in goals for peaceful coexistence.

The Khomeinist regime complained that Saudi reinforcement of the Bahrain state of emergency with 150 armored personnel carriers was ‘not acceptable. Iranian long term policy to foment discontent in the middle east has taken a variety of forms including heavy financial and training reinforcement of HAMAS-a Sunni government in Palestine and the Gaza, signing a defense treaty with Syria, reinforcing its proxy government of Hezbollah in Lebanon and so forth.

Israel seized anti-ship missiles sent from Iran to Gaza http://www.haaretz.com/news/diplomacy-defense/israel-navy-anti-ship-missiles-meant-for-gaza-found-on-seized-ship-1.349410

The United States seized anti-vehicle weapons from Iran bound to Afghan insurgents recently. Iran’s government as sponsored a number of terrorist organizations in Afghanistan as is a general rogue government sewing wickedness and instability.

Americans generally do not realize the problems Iran’s government presents for its own people as well as the issues it creates for others. It hopes to move down into Iraq and at least create a Shiist government there subject to the Khomeinist perennial war lunatic fringe.

We may realize the secular "mullah" in America that is the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff-Admiral Mullins does represent the atheist, sin side of advocacy of homosexuality, and some wonder if President Obama could be the hidden twelfth Imam, yet these speculations are largely nonsense; they are simply amoral market instrumentalists over extending a class liberal economic criterion globally. It is possible to work against sin without either the sin of homicide by government design or theocracy. In fact Christianity cannot be rightly expressed within a theocratic government, while alternatively some of the Shiia believe that Islam cannot exist without a worldly government.

It is difficult to know to what extent Iran has fomented ‘uprisings’ in middle eastern nations as a way to bring a radical Shiite regime to power through the smoke and mirrors of creating a popular democratic government. The radical left including the Tudeh-the Iranian Communist Party were the muscle that brought the Ayatollah Khomeini to power and the Shah to catch a plane for south beach. The Khomeinists are always at work destabilizing the middle east as they have visions of leading a world of Islamic subjugation called ‘the umma’ although the Shia are just 12% of world Muslims.

Because the Sunni reject the Shiia about everywhere, Iranian perpetual Muslim revolutionaries have taken a political approach to conquering Islamic sentiments. They fund terrorism and revolution against Israel and American interests wherever it might be useful. In Palestine there is not a single Shiite mosque. In Egypt few Shiite mosques are allowed to exist, and alternatively, in Shiite regions Sunni mosques are demolished and the Sunni are encouraged to convert. Even Christianity is a crime for new converts in Iran. There are more issues to the Middle Eastern affairs than meets the eye of Americans perusing the news.

Education ComPutin & The Federal Budget

Education in the United States has failed to keep up with the challenges flowing over K-12 instructional method.K-12 competency decline parallels that of U.S. economic leadership. It should be easier to advance progress in public K-12 education than in federal economic leadership.

Students waste too much time on computer gaming. For-extra credit educational games of high video quality should be contracted to encouraged students to play educational games instead of grand theft auto. Like standardized textbooks educational video games should be exciting for teenagers to play.

For mathematical instruction perhaps students shooting the right answer might get points on multiple choice opponents possibilities while those failing to nail the right relationship of for example the hypotenuse of the Pythagorean Theorem might be shot and lose points.

Standardized mathematical and history video games would let students combine useful learning and recreational opportunities together. School examination of a student-player’s skill level on a school computer would determine if the student learned that Vladimir Computin was not the inventor of transistor, or if the periodic table’s elements include pepper and salt.

Federal budgeters in Congress complain about nickel and diming the trillion dollar deficit conveniently forgetting that last December both parties and the president choose to extend tax cuts thus preventing a balanced budget in two years if they had been allowed to expire, and quicker with some spending cuts. If the federal budget could have been balanced by a responsible congress this year, the fracturing of national ecological and economic accountability into the worst case scenarios of the Diner’s Dilemma that allow just ‘nickel and diming’ of the federal budget and 14 trillion dollar public debt provides a spirit-of-the-age normal replacement. Kicking the issue down the road is the best way for globalism to function when it’s only the U.S. public holding the bag.

Globalists seek to balance the budget by cutting social sector spending-areas where corporations and contractors do not directly get federal payments. If entitlements were to be fairly cut, it would not be the poor that would be cut but the prosperous through means testing and of course that would be opposed by the prosperous majorities of congress. Cutting social sector spending isn’t the best way to balance the federal budget now. Cutting Department of Revenue spending on interest payments on the public debt-about ¾ trillion annually would be possible with tax increases. Eliminating interest payments on public debt is the preferred method of balancing the federal budget. Modest spending cuts, and large rhetoric cuts, should be enacted to bring the U.S. economy toward a healthier direction.

Public education could obviously be improved by providing vouchers to private schools for excellent students so they are not held back. Teachers should have more time to instruct average and slower students. A public education system in the post-modern nation-state runs a risk of mass public mediocrity through conformity to a fundamental norm killing educational diversity in the process. The richness of a public education system should be found in its independent diversity of content and styles instead of in training for submission to autocracy or alternatively collective yippee conformity.

About 'The Age of Fracture" by Daniel Rogers

A new book by a professor of history at Princeton goes over a thesis that change in the United States since the 1970’s has developed toward fracturing of the national sense of community and mutual obligations with a market based identity of individualism becoming the new national intellectual paradigm. I have just started reading this book published in 2011 so need write with reserve on the thesis. It does seem consistent with the idea of dumping 14 trillion dollars of public debt upon the taxpayers though. Obviously the congress would be reduced to squabbling about nickels and dimes after the president too rejected tax rate increases last December.

I should say that I am a little reticent about ascribing too much importance to intellectual histories of the era as being leading rather than responsive things. Political leaders of the 20th century were preponderantly reactionaries instead of creative leaders. Well, in centuries past being a good leader meant getting the golden horde motivate to conquer the rich land abroad, and today a more intellectual challenge in the U.S.A. to materially comprehend nationalism, equality, prosperity and ecology and economic environment is categorically flunked. U.S. Presidents since the Roosevelts-with the exceptions of Nixon and Eisenhower, have been blind donkeys wandering in the desert regarding environmental boundaries and their integral relationship to nationhood and citizenship.

Politicians and intellectuals in the U.S.A. may write or speak in advocacy of reformed economic national structure as well as in a post hoc descriptive amorphous intellectual fog. If the U.S. economic structure has morphed into a fractured Market Economy replacing structured democratic and national management, it may be reasonable to regard a modest anarchic abandonment of executive competence as the new norm for the office of presdident of the United States. That leads me to wonder if Ronald Regan's intentional 'narration role' of the U.S.A. during his tenure in which the nation became a field of dreams in which all individual fullfillment was possible even as we watched the epic unfold can be duplicated by today's Republican candidates that are challenged to start with the disadvantage of perhaps 18 trillion dollars of public debt by 2013.

Perhaps Donald Trump has the potential for the role of off screen narrator and on screen host of the American dream on a nationalist instead of a globalist scale. Careful economic gardening planting green infrastructure and economic balance at home would promote good relations and a return to competent national political structure domestically.

Decline of Newspaper Industry; Why Not Move into Radio With Radio-Newspaper Stations?

The state of newspapers went into decline with free, instant radio broadcasts with news along with television. For the time being however radio remains the most accessible for of mass media to the poor and for travelers while newspapers have faded out as a new generation finds the paper format as uninteresting as the prior generation found it intriguing. Newspapers could move into radio broadcasting of their content themselves as summaries to bring the public to buy a paper locally to read the full story.

Radio broadcasts have radically declined in quality in news and music. Their use for education is virtually nil. Newspaper radio stations could read their high value articles, read Internet blog articles, high value columnists and educational content. Newspaper broadcasts might combine information within-detail information available in paper, as well as provide information on discount coupons available in a particular issue.

One day Internet radio may reach the public through radio wavelengths, until then Newspaper radio stations could be a way to revitalize local news interest and also provide intelligent thought for local people to listen too rather than just national mass media blather.

Newspaper broadcast stations should not make the mistake of resembling ‘talk’ radio with off the cuff ad libbing on sundry political topics so blunt as to be of the quality of dirt as like as not. If even notable syndicated columnists are brought aboard only their written works should be read by themselves or speech synthesizers without rave bias.

Human beings can read word information far faster than they usually can listen to it. Unstructured political ad libbing on talk radio in comparison to careful structured essays resemble a fellow straight out of the gym in a sweat suit compared to a guy wearing a suit. The very casual approach tends to lose out on the presentation of quality information. Quality information was the basic advantage newspapers like the Anchorage Daily News had over radio.

U.S.A. Should Halt Atomic Power Plant Construction

Nuclear power plants are implicitly weapons of mass destruction accelerators. Future terrorist attacks, conventional war targeting and natural disasters will increase their likelihood of vaporizing and weaponizing nuclear power plants in proportion to the proliferation of construction of atomic power plants around the globe. The recent Japanese equinox earthquake proved that planned safety measures for atomic power plants inevitably do not measure up to their survival challenges.

General human social disasters and mass die offs of population have been known to occur in human history. The bubonic plagues that wiped out two thirds of the population of Europe could recur in a new form for the entire world with the advances in genetic engineering and quick global transportation able that would facilitate the planetary instantaneous communication f communicable, fatal disease. With any of a number of forms of mass social disaster or intentional attack the world would be unable to cope with preventing melt down o thousands of nuclear reactors in atomic power plants without live human operators. The evolution of future life on Earth would be altered deleteriously for thousands of years.

The United States government has been remiss in allowing global market forces to set the nation’s power agenda moving it toward the reckless. Safe, alternate means of energy production and transmission exist that should receive government development reinforcement. Solar, wind, geothermal and fuel cell power and super-conducting power storage and transmission technologies should receive U.S. Government prioritization as energy technologies of vastly superior value to that of atomic or fossil fuel power. Yet with even the White House allowing the First Lady to be a huckster in Sam’s Club e-trade commercials the prospects for White House leadership to turn the nation toward clean, high tech new energy production not presently listed as Corporate Wall Street Oil or atomic corporations seems dim.

Four Fukushima prefecture atomic reactors are experiencing dangerous issues if not reactor meltdown in the days after the magnitude 9.0 equinox earthquake. U.S. Government planners should heed the lesson that atomic reactors are big, fat dangerous plumbs in advanced nations for enemies of today or the future to target with accurate cruise missiles and geo-positioning electronics. Simultaneous destruction of nuclear reactors in an advanced nation could devastate an economy for decades in addition to spewing radiation for a very long time.

Military technology proliferates even faster than atomic power plant technology. For a market based government political opinion valuing today’s profits blind to placing the equivalent of vast explosives caches around the countryside is very, very stupid indeed.

Tokyo Electric's Endangered Fukushima Prefecture Nuclear Reactors

When an earthquake can bring nuclear power plants to the brink of melt-down it is time to rethink the wisdom of building nuclear power plants. Authorities have evacuated people from the vicinity of the plants already, and the future of cooling down the leaking and overheating reactors isn't presently known.

http://www.cnn.com/2011/WORLD/asiapcf/03/11/japan.nuclear/?hpt=T1

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-asia-pacific-12720219

That brings to mind the Iranian nuclear power plant designed by the people that built the Chernyobyl plant. The IRGC needs to build it so it has an excuse to produce plutonium for it that it doesn't need, in order to skim the surplus for nuclear weapons manufacture.

Just a few years ago the revolutionary bureaucracy of Iran investigated the theological opinion about the Japanese: Do they have souls or not since they are not 'people of the book'? The Khomeinist mullahs decided the Japanese do not have souls. Such sophisticated complexities may boggle the mind of westerners, yet we are sure that there must be some sort of hyper-efficient way of quickly cooling down nuclear reactors-maybe pouring liquid hydrogen in the reactor rooms or some other super fluid. If Japanese nuclear plants melt down it may be an ill wind for quality fishing in Alaska that could carry atomic waste into the atmosphere and the Aleutians. Even Chernobyl dusted much of the northern hemisphere with a little unhealthy for fish radiation.

Jesus Christ on the Triune Nature of God

In these passages Jesus Christ plainly says that he is God. God is three persons in one. God is One. The spirit of truth-the Holy Spirit, is the comforter Jesus mentions.

John 10:7"My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:

28And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.

29My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand.

30"I and my Father are one."

John 14:

" 8Philip saith unto him, Lord, show us the Father, and it sufficeth us.

9Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Show us the Father?

10Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works.

11Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very works' sake.

12Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.

13And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.

14If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.

15If ye love me, keep my commandments.

16And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;

17Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.

18I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.

19Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more; but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also.

20At that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you.

21He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him."

Effort to Discover the Most Energy Efficient Possible U.S. National Transportation Infrastructure

It would be interesting if the federal government supported a creative scientific investigation of the most efficient possible personal transportation system for the continental U.S.A. and perhaps Alaska. The criteria for the investigation could take several forms.

One might pursue the question of simple transporting an individual human from one to as many possible locations in the nation in the most efficient way regarding energy use and speed. The most efficient possible design should differ from the present fossil fuel based transportation infrastructure by several thousand percent.

I am not suggesting a specific method of transportation here. Parameters might include individual freedom to choose destinations, speed and time of travel, least real energy use per pound and so forth. It is perhaps simpler to consider pounds of weight per electron volt, flow of mass along a super-fluid and even cost per individual versus social, public and environmental cost within ecological economic parameters.

It is possible to consider encapsulating individuals within a shell such as an automobile body or not. The goal is to discover the most efficient possible national transportation infrastructure from the point of view of minimal energy use.

Mussolini's Moment; Obama, Corporatism and the Oily Recolonization of Libya

Britain and France have sought to bring the U.S.A. to support a no-fly zone over Libya. In some ways this circumstance bears similarities to the 1935 Abyssinian crisis that led eventual to Ethiopian loss of control of the region to an invading Italian fascist army and air force of the Benito Mussolini. Mussolini incidentally was the inventor of the political philosophy of corporatism-very much a close relation to fascism.

The Arab League has also voted to support a no-fly zone. States like Iraq, Bahrain and Qatar are in the Arab League, as are Somalia and Egypt. There are twenty-two member states and they perhaps are not all impartial in their preference that Moamar Kaddafi be removed from power. Khadafy obviously has baggage as a leftist radical support of terrorist causes with loud anti-colonialist idea. China and Russia as former or present neo-communist powers oppose intervention by the west.

This brings me to the curious circumstance of Michelle Obama and her advertising campaign in support of Sam's Club. Sam's Club comprises about 11% of Wal-mart profits annually and is part of the largest commercial retail business on Earth. A conflict of interest strikes me as self-evident when the First Lady promotes the largest business on Earth directly. Wal-mart does have rivals, and it is also one of the leading globalist importers of goods made by cheap second and third world labor to the United States. The advertisements stink of corporatism-the political philosophy where government and corporations act together to rule. Good food quality in Wal-mart ought to be a corporate goal, yet the First Lady should not appear to be embedded with that corporation so far as to partner in advertising. Some Americans believe Wal-Mart is actually detrimental to democracy and free enterprise because of the size.

Corporatism in U.S. economics and government was not created by the Obamas of course. Presidents Clinton and Bush I & II were leaders in degrading U.S. national interests in favor of profit for global corporations. President Bush II of course pursued oil in the Middle East as well as anti-terrorist retribution. President Obama seems like a Bush III administration in many ways. He has even forced a Nixon-Romney health insurance plan upon the nation.

So is U.S. interest in Libya not inevitably shaped to resemble a Mussolini moment of escalating interaction with the Abbysian-Libyan power? Ought Ethiopians return to rule? Can French Special Forces or clandestine legionnaires deliver anti-tank weapons, anti-aircraft missiles and oil contracts to rebels without U.S. help? Does the U.S. Government need to be a partnering Uncle Sambo providing military service on borrowed money for corporate profits in vulnerable Middle Eastern nations?

President G.W. Bush and Bill Clinton provided the role modal for America as Uncle Sambo ineptly blundering with foreign military interventions and support for offshoring jobs with burger flipping job growth at home. That's a deficit spending required policy running amuck like a crazed camel in the desert after every oasis of oil that might arise. Better, more intelligent, less Harvard labeling and sophisticating subterfuge federal economic management needs to replace invasion as usual. Thwaping sources of fossil fuels abroad like a Hillbilly market thwaping a box of cereal on a high shelf with a nail through a long stick in order to bring the product within reach of consumers is the Obama-Corporate axis of oil neo-legal procedure.

In Iran the Khomeinists have let their oil production capacity dwindle to just 20% of the Shah era production. When the Khomeinists leave Iran there is a 150 billion dollar investment required to restore the worlds 3rd largest oil and gas fields to full production. Yet oil is bad for the world atmosphere, global warming and is fundamentally a corrupt, anachronistic economic mode. Intelligence is required in government to move beyond fossil fuel economics.

War as a moral way to improve the status of women in the Muslim world is a disingenuous effort by a corporate militarism. Egypt is likely to have a return to semi-military rule or a fundamentalist government as would Libya in the absence of a perennial revolution of military forces. Historically women's rights in middle eastern countries improved most with conservative constitutional monarchy or military strong-men un fortunately. The left supported the revolution against the Shah and succeeded in bringing far worse conditions to Iranian women and men too. The shah had 5000 in jail, the Khomeinists 150,000. The executions by the revolutionary forces continue to the present far exceeding the capital punishments of the constitutional monarch.

There is probably no easy solution for the Libyan crisis. A Kaddafi victory over the rebels would perhaps be followed by a bloody purge. An intervention by the United States or N.A.T.O. would be a reinforcement of the concept of neo-colonialist hegemony of Europe and the U.S.A. over African affairs. Neither is there good logic for an Arab League inability to reinforce the rebels themselves militarily if they choose. It has also been pointed out that a no-fly zone in itself would provide insufficient military protection for rebels. What the rebels seem to need is a borrowed military, and that returns us to the question; should the United States act as the new colonial power in a modern Abyssinia?

The Saudis are rich and have economic budget surplus-they have plenty of weapons to defeat Khaddafi’s forces should they choose. Even Iraq might supply soldiers to reinforce the rebels. Why does the administration believe that the U.S.A. needs to get involved in killing people in any possible revolutionary circumstance in the world. At some point the aloof Harvard clan should realize that the foreign wars to not create domestic full employment in the U.S.A.

Crescent City California tsunami Damage etc.

This time, unlike the giant wave of 1964, there was no loss of life in Crescent City California from the tsunami. A jetty constructed after the disaster of 64 stopped the waves from Japan from hitting the City full force. Thirty five boats in the harbor were trashed and city docks damaged. Sea lions that bask on the docks they regarded as their donated sleeping and recreational spaces would need to look elsewhere for lodging.

Scientists had predicted an increased possibility of earthquake because of the approach of spring equinox and a full moon. When gravity changes its relation to crust of the earth as the Earth moves slip strike faults of plates may occur-earthquake.

George Norrie's second guest on Coast to Coast Am Thursday evening said to watch the Pacific Rim as he anticipated and earthquake. Other scientists had mentioned a potential New Madrid earthquake in Arkansas because of pumping of wastewater below the surface in drilling operations. The Alaska legislature is considering fundiong construction of a vast hydroelectric dam on Alaska's Susitna River that too will alter the relationship of Pacific Rim weights and gravity adding random factors to Earthquake potential perhaps beyond the obvious faults with the location.

Speculations were duly given to the prescence of hundreds of thousands of dead sardines at Marina Del Rey or some other places in the Los Angeles area as an indicator of a potential earthquake. Maybe someone noticed the sea lions behaving strangely. Perhaps the Japanese should create sanctuary and resting places for sea lions and dolphins along their coastlines in order to serve as sentinels for earthquakes (if animal behavior is actually a predictor of Earthquakes).

The Earth's interior is partly molten and the core may have radioactivity releasing heat. The surface is cool as it encounters the coolness of space and the atmosphere comparatively far away from the hot core. The cool crust is not just one large piece but is instead made of several fragments that adjoin moving over or below, or sliding against other 'plates' of crust. The Pacific Rim is at the margins of an Oceanic basin that is closing and has volcanoes and Earthquake activity, while the Atlantic Ocean is increasing in size and has mid ocean seafloor spreading with magma extruding at the bottom of the ocean from fissures in it.

In the future earthquake predictions may increase in accuracy. I tend to anticipate Earthquakes toward winter solstice, yet spring equinox seems to be a ripe time too occasionally.

Today one may launch a 2U or 3U micro satellite into orbit for 10,000 dollars. Some researchers are searching for changes in the earth's magnetic field as a way to predict Earthquakes with low cost experiments. These little satellites may only way 2 or 3 pounds and be packed full of micro circuits or even telescopes pointing at space or Earth too I guess.

Gitmo, Goose Creek and The Obama Terror Facility

President Obama promised to close the Guantanamo Base Incarceration Center for Terrorist Suspects upon taking office. He did not live up to his promise, and may appreciate suggestions about how to close the water boarding center for the Caribbean. Go North to Alaska! Some Alaskans have suggested selling an almost complete new prison in a remote and secure location to the U.S. Government.

Alaska is nearing completion of a splendid, new 1500 person prison at Goose Creek in scenic Matanuska-Susitna Borough (like a county) where security officials can dig in for the winter. The prison is something of a pink elephant since it will cost about 70 million dollars to operate the facility annually and the state of Alaska has motivation for selling it to the Federal government for cost plus a modest profit for Alaskans. For a very reasonable price the U.S.A. could open a safe new Obama Terror Facility useful for long-term housing present and future illegal combatants and terrorists

Goose Creek would be a secure facility. Prisoners suspected of illegal war activities could be brought to Anchorage for trial. The Federal Government could create a special Court of Terrorists in Anchorage to try suspected terror suspects. The Federal Government has created special courts before for serious social issues such as bankruptcy.

Military tribunals are inappropriate for America today obviously. They would have been useful in trying rogues of war when civil courts aren’t available yet in the modern social and legal context the military tribunal is obviously an inferior court for determination of legal justice. Military tribunals of illegal combatants are a judge and shoot on the fly sorting of affair when patchwork justice needs to supplement, rare, endangered and incompetent civil courts. No such condition exists today, unless one counts bad judicial appointments as comprising an incompetent judiciary.

Thus Goose Creek Federal Terror Processing facility could accelerate the process of getting quality justice for foreign terror suspects. A screening court might decide if a suspect qualifies for processing in the Terror Court venue rather like a Grand Jury determination of sufficiency of evidence to indict an individual. The Congress could set new legal criteria for those reaching the Terror Court venue while the U.S. military could return to its business of killing or being killed instead of making fancy legal decisions and obscuring political control of the Judicial and Executive powers.
