As North Korea continues to develop nuclear weapons and missile delivery systems it might not be too early to consider the potential threat of North Korean to the yet to be constructed Mars Colony of Elon Musk.

It goes without saying that Kim Un will field an ICBM soon. The next step beyond that would be to develop the Inter-Planetary Ballistic Missile (IPBM).

G.O.P.'s Obamacare Makeover Probably Sucks Too

The Republican and Democrat Parties just are not willing to make a practical, affordable national health care infrastructure that covers only those that actually need it (the poor). Insurance companies already provide service for those that can afford it. More workers would have employer provided coverage if their negotiating position were better (without illegal aliens in any large numbers on the nation able to provide an  alternative workforce).
'Bombercare seems to comprise a regressive tax to me. Of course President Obama was said to have an I.Q. just a fraction of a percent lower than Bill Clinton (141.2), so maybe it just seems regressive. President Trump in the same I.Q. report of President had the second highest I.Q. at 156.4 (only John Quincy Adams had a higher I.Q. at 176). For the President the regressive tax may seem either real or illusory, yet for me, a humble home repainter without the stratospheric I.Q.s required for good Presidential leaders, it does seem regressive.
 The government should be the direct provider of health care for the poor in government run treatment facilities such as the V.A. system and in networks of low-cost clinics already existing. Most medical procedures are routine and could be treated well enough while only the exceptional would need to be outsourced to the private hospital system and that the government might reasonable provide.

Democrats want an unaffordable health care system where everyone gets the best treatment available and taxes are placed upon workers as mandatory insurance premium purchases for treatment they won't need.  Republicans want to keep that benefit the corporate world Obamacare system and just gut its effectiveness for the poor. Neither Democrats or Republicans care about the poor enough to create a system that works and is the most-cost-effective way to proceed. That treatment system for the poor could even serve in event of national emergency such as might arise from an opfor biowar attack infecting millions.

Musk's Mars Ideas Seem Somewhat Narrow-Minded

Elon Musk's speculation about colonizing Mars seem a little narrow-minded. He really ought to look beyond creating another big gassy rocket to launch a million people to Mars. Regardless of how people arrived, they could probably copulate and raise little Martians for a fraction of the cost of sending a million adults from Earth.

Looking beyond the advantages natural-born Martians would have such as being eligible to run for President of Mars, Elon Musk seems to have overlooked his own field of experience for space transportation that would use electro-magnetic propulsion along a straight track on the Moon to accelerate objects to very high velocity toward some sort of orbiting, recycling Earth-Mars ferry as Buzz Aldrin mentioned numerous times.                             image credit: N.A.S.A.

Developing electro-magnetic accelerators such as were made in the Star Wars program and later for navy canon perhaps on Earth with a specialized pointy heat shielded projectile moving along a fifty-mile track to orbital escape velocity would be one way to get cargo into orbit rapidly. Creating a network of electro-magnetic accelerators on the moon and around the solar system would provide the adaptability needed to let people discover niches in livable places without requiring a central bureaucratic or even corporate apparatus to plan for everyone involved with some sort of theory.

If one were to play a chess game against a gm entirely from opening book plans it is possible the unexpected might arise and the game is busted. Establishing an adaptable, multi-use technology to open the entire solar system to low-cost space travel and human habitat constructions should be Elon Musk's effort.

Design a Board Game Modeling Forces of Physics

It might be interesting to design a board game rather like chess that models the forces of physics instead of a battlefield. Obviously one could also make a video game that could teach players general relativity and the way it warps space-time.

The strong force for close range binding, the weak force and low mass photons for distant attacking although they would need to be in mass to have much effect, pieces could have different ranges of motion as do bishops and knights in chess. Kings might be atomic nuclei and queens, electrons.

One might want to keep the game reasonably simple as is chess, yet somewhat more complex at the same time.

A video game that allows one to move mass and warp the space-time of solar systems, and that models general relativity in accelerating space ships near light speed while increasing their mass and dilating time-those coeeficients would be built in with accuracy to tge game pieces one moves around a neighborhood of a galaxy.

One might modularize the games so they can scale up and cohere within non-quantum mechanical particle-wave games. Then if one moved good structures into atoms and molecules it would be possible to use those games within macro-physics of molecular clumps such as comprise objects like planets drawn together with gravity.

Ur, Urartu and the Flood

Cuba is a dangerous nation bent upon destroying marine habitat and reefs with offshore oil drilling. Developing the capability of nearly instant communication around the solar system would be quite useful for a number of reasons for guidance control, instructions and posting video at youtube live on Earth from Mars. The founders of the United State believed a President needed to be native born. Cosby Jurors Face Liberal Hobson's Choices

Deadlocked in the third day of deliberations, the Cosby trial jurors have some tough choices. In the case of O.J.'s trial it was easy; black man railroaded by insider techs who allegedly killed some white people. To convict is to denigrate the reputation and memory of one of the greatest black American entertainers. To acquit is to spit in the face of women. Yet that would energize those that believe Hillary Clinton should have been elected in order to overcome the cup-ist lower wages of the female gender. President Obama even got the benefit of Bruce Jenner giving up his gender and helping to put homosexual marriage inertia over on the nation. One wonders if he was given an offer he couldn't refuse.

I would bet that the jury will acquit, although remaining deadlocked and hung might be the really safest course for them to take.

Why Does Any American Visit N. Korea?

The choice to visit North  Korea is just plain dumb if you are a citizen of the Unitd States not wearing bomber pilot gear. Techincally they are still at war with us. The most recent case is that of young Mr. Wambier who returned as a vegetable after 17 months in capitivity for alledgedly stealing a poster.

North Korea had the opportunity to torture and experiment technique on an American. He has brain damage and is in a comatose waking state. I knew a kid being raised by some Christian friends who was is a similar condition long ago. They spent years and years trying to figure out what had happened to put the kid into such a state (he was adopted). He coundn't talk or say anything and acted just vacant though capable of walking.

Those sorts of mysteries happen in the custody of enemies sometimes. One needs to learn not to visit a store with hostile employees-its their turf and things can go wrong there. So much more do people need to learn not to visit hostile nations without expecting the likelihood of somethingn going very wrong.

Donald Trump also seems willing to patronize N.Korea and toelerate the expansion of their nuclear force until it can hist Anchorage and San Francisco. N. Korea seems to have Seol South Korea as an artillery and nuclear hostage. That is a tough position to play.

Neither the Copenhagen or Everett Interpretion for Quantum Cosmology

Ideas of an alternative to Multiverse theory should account for quantum uncertainty and super-positioning. Neither the Copenhagen or Everett explanation of quantum mechanics need be the end of the story. Quantum cosmology is fashionable these days. The Copenhagen interpretation of quantum mechanics has been applied to cosmology too with the concept that a new Universe forms instantly each time an observation forces a deterministic state of a particle. That does seem to violate causality as anyone would normally regard it, such that for the determination of the position of any particle an infinite number (1 less than infinity) of new particles comprising a new Universe appear. One times one equals infinity is the closest I can get to that mathematically.

There is a simpler way to account for quantum uncertainty though it uses some very old concepts such as ether as a Universal field. Particles exist not just as waves too that become a particle when observed at a particular space-time point/location. Instead of individual particles or a cloud of particle there are various spheres of energy that when observed are the equivalent of a water-filled plastic ball having a hole poked in it at any given location letting some water-energy appear there.

No particle or wave in the quantum universe exists in isolation from the complete universe of energy. The question about relationships and structures that human observers encounter or prod into being for observation is of a field's characteristics as thinner, thicker, more energy charged or less hear and there. All apparent particles and fields exist within it including the Higgs field, and it is faster-than -light, or untroubled by the limitations of  quanta that exist within it. 

It isn't necessary to invent an infinite Multiverse to account for quantum uncertainty, inflation or gravity. If one thinks about a field underlying all of the energy and mass of this Universe having faster-than-light speed character it should have no time as would be measured by anything in the mass-energy Universe. If it has time itself is another question. Without any matter it ought not. It could even be a stable, infinite meta-Universe field. 

An inflation from an infinite field that kept some of its characteristic attribute of speed would seem to have the problem of slowing down. If the speed of the infinite field was infinite itself then the hyper-inflation should have been far too fast to be overcome by the eventual formation of gravity in the energy protocol. There might be something to learn from considering that.

U.S. Senate, Without Economic Competence, Makes New Russian Sanctions

The U.S. Senate voted to make foreign policy again with a negative act of new sanctions on Russia. It is easier to be negative and destructive rather than positive and progressive. Though the Senate cannot get a budget passed usually and has run up 20 trillion dollars of U.S. debt it wants to spread the misery about as best it can.

The President has tried hard to get Russia-U.S. relations onto a positive footing while the House and Senate has worked to move things to as hostile of a relationship as they can. When not fighting themselves political in Repub vs Democrat they can just take time out for sanctions.

It is disappointing that U.S.. leadership is usually so daft. America in a sense is a nation of adopted people without a good ethnic cultural identity, and in that collage of values and ideas the worst rises to the top socially and politically.

The amazing thing is that the nation does so well economically except where mass social influences are involved. It requires fairly few people to invent things and keep things going while the majority can just be operators, consume and hassle about. The political evolution of that is probably toward the sounds of weapons of mass destruction in time.

It is interesting that God has seen fit to provide an unsaved lot of Muslims to chastise the corrupt atheist masses in lieu of Christians whom are not situated to defend themselves against the atheists of the U.S. and Europe. Amazing times.

The U.S. Senate Should Cut Back Russian Sanctions

The U.S. Senate should get rid of most of its sanctions that exacerbate stress with Russia and try constructive engagement instead. That would be good for each economy and lead Russian toward more liberal capitalism eventually.

President Reagan’s policy of constructive engagement with South Africa eventually led to the end of apartheid as did President Reagan’s willingness to work with the Soviets support the end of the Cold War.

The hillbilly approach of the Legislative branch of government toward Russia with ever more sanctions accomplishes nothing except faux patriotism for television campaigns.

Would Taiwan Like to Be a U.S. Territory or State?

Taiwan has a good location from which the United States could market directly to China. Yet Taiwan has problems with China inasmuch as its larger neighbor feels it can bully it about and threaten to invade it for-themselves. I wonder if Taiwan has ever though about petitioning the U.S. Senate or House to become a U.S. territory?

Now that Puerto Rico has great economic difficulties it has finally voted overwhelmingly to become a U.S. state instead of remaining in territorial status. That's a good idea too since Americans will flock to vacation there as if it were Hawaii. Taiwan has good chances too.

Modern American Presidents tend to be just lawyers. President Trump however might just listen favorably to a Taiwanese petition to join the United States (after a few years as a territory of the United States). Christian Theology Opponents and Implicit Superficiality

Many of the arguments people use against Christianity and arguments skeptics make against the Bible are cloned. I hope to add a chapter to my ebook 'God, Cosmology and Nothingness' sometime to directly address those concerns. Much of the skeptic's thought is rather summarily dismissive and just doesn't have depth of understanding of either science or religion much less of how to interpret either. It's actually very time consuming to achieve any sort of enlightened state through reading about science and Christianity, while accusatory attacks can be made easily.

A problem for Christian apologetics is comparable to that experienced by conservationists in defending wilderness and wildlife; cheap easy for-profit attacks need be successful once in time to harm the body. Sadly the Trump administration just vetoed a ,measure to protect whales and dolphins from mile-long drift-net fishing in the California Pacific. I was hoping Press. Linguistic philosophy tended to make philosophers have a more objective view about language and words in the 20th century. That includes words and word strings called 'facts' too. Facts are also included as propositions. One tends to stipulate certain word strings as constants and in that context as 'facts' in order for language-meanings to make sense or just work. Fats change though, as recently the origin of mankind was found to have perhaps been in the Balkans instead of the rift valley, and the first homo sapiens skeleton was found in Morocco at 300,000 BC instead of 200,000 B.C. on the other side of Africa.

The effort to be factual is good. The problem is that certainty is one of the most ancient of philosophical issues. Remember the Socratic discourses such as the Meno? Epistemology or theory of knowledge does I think bring one to the eventual insight that knowledge is conditional and phenomenal rather than empirically absolute. Quine brought one to view language as existing in its own unique ontology-I guess that each language ontology has the indeterminacy of translation problem that Wittgenstein noted earlier in the Blue and Brown books. Human knowledge is not only existent within a temporal space-time continuum with relativity generally. It is also phenomenal. That is another reason why I have faith in God rather than the temporal assertions of absolute certainty of mankind.

Lebron James Could Make the Lakers Great Again

The Lakers need LeBron James to make them great again. Lebron is a free agent and can sign with the Lakers who also have the number two draft choices this year. James owes nothing to the Cavaliers having given them a title already. Lebron James signing with L.A. could make the Lakers great again.

Cleveland fundamentally went wrong in trading away its number one draft choice a few years ago for Kevin Love. James needed a young, energetic front line guy to compliment his workload.

Has an N.B.A player has won the title with three teams? Lebron James might become the first if he goes to Los Angeles. For Cleveland and Jame's desire to make a lasting difference he should just establish a Great Lakes fisheries research facility to make fishing great again (in co-operation with a quality University Marine Sciences dept.). That's probably the best lasting difference he might make, and its good when the fishing is good.
