The Harris Meme; "What can be, unburdened by what has been"

Perhaps the phrase Kamala Harris uses (‘What can be, unburdened by what has been’) isn’t a quote from Karl Marx. It does require a little examination though. For in an historical context the past and present are a continuum. what has existed in the past often exists in the present; such as national boundaries in some cases. It might be useful if warring with Russia over Ukraine to ignore the burden of history of Russian ownership of Ukraine for centuries if one is a Democrat obviously. The past is not so easy to dismiss.

Everything that exist in social reality-physical infrastructure for example, immediately becomes part of the past as the present moves on. Yet buildings built yesterday or last century remain part of the present-even with the persistence of memory in a few after they are demolished. Plans implemented in the past were designed with the future in mind sometimes requiring decades to mature.

 And there is the matter of special and general relativity and parameters for a finite speed of light- 186,282 miles per second. Given the expansion of space-time and the vast distance scales of the Universe photons flying about and reaching Earth nearly entirely originated from the past to impact human senses as the present; that is the past is what arrives in to be the present appearance of starlight- and even sunshine.

I tend to regard the Universe as being simultaneously monistic and pluralistic. It originated and in a deep sense continues to be made of one phenomenal thing- even if that is energy in motion and of an inexplicable ultimate form. What was, is, substantially speaking, yet the forms have changed. If everything is spirit and an emanation that upsurges into being within protocols of form and change that apparent pluralism exists on the surface of the monism that is the foundation of phenomenality.

Why should those present be burdened by public debt or bad decisions of the past such as entering into war via the Zelinsky government over Ukraine with Russia? It’s convenient for politicians to ignore the past-sometimes even their own political record. The past is not a burden. Public debt of 33 trillion dollars from bad political choices by party leaders is a’burden’, as are the failure to conserve the ecosphere’s nine critical areas for human livability on Earth with six already surpassed and a seventh edging closer. One cannot simply declare oneself to be unburdened by the past when it exists in the resent.

What is possible is to maximize efficient use of present resources and opportunities; politicians rarely accomplish that.

Does Harris or Trump Know What the Nine Planetary Boundaries for Eco-health Are?

 It is worth mentioning that neither presidential candidate of Republicans and Democrats mentions the nine planetary boundaries for a healthy Earth and how six have been passed already. Apparently a seventh- ocean acidification- is also approaching.

Degrading the environment to such an extreme extent requires sound ecological economic competence to change. It is my hope that if Mr. Trump wins the 2024 election and gets the wars to stop across the pond a Democrat challenger in 2030 might appear with a competent plan to at least try to push back the degradation with a completely different approach to economics and environment since they are integrated in a destructive way presently. For the Harris campaign to operate with a what me worry blissful disregard for the status of the ecosphere is disheartening. Humans should do better than that.

Maybe it will require a Republican to actually get anything done. it would be good to fill the drying up Great Salt Lake with desalinated sea water too. Such hopeless day dreaming is all that may develop concerning either prospect.

Will AI Replace Nobel Prize Committee Next Year?

 Maybe it's just a matter of time before Artificial Intelligence monitoring world scientific developments replaces humans on the Nobel Committee to select prize-worthy achievements. Maybe they would be more accurate. Perhaps the prize for literature would go to someone writing a graphic novel (a cartoon book) like Magnus Robot Fighter.

One might want Magnus Carlsen to defeat all those 4000 rated chess engines and for a math genius to out-calculate quantum super-computers yet each aren't too likely.

Last good chance for President Biden to Start World War Three is October 12th

 

On October 11th and 12th N.A.T.O. defense secretaries and ministers will meet to discuss the Ukraine conflict and if they should let Ukraine’s military use N.A.T.O. weapons to attack deep into Russia. I haven’t much confidence in Joe Biden’s judgment on the Ukraine war; it is possible that he will finally green light Zelinsky’s wish to attack old Russia itself and that would stimulate a rapid escalation beyond the borders of Ukraine perhaps to include targets in western Europe and the United States and or tactical nukes in Ukraine. That might be the October surprise that candidates sometimes use to get themselves or their apprentice reelected or elected as the case may be.

The war has been a very bad event that simply gets worse the farther on it goes. There is no good ending for the atrocity. The best circumstance would be for Donald Trump to be re-elected and sign off on the Putin peace settlement to divide the Ukraine 50-50 so far as real estate value goes in dollars. Ukraine would actually keep about 80% of the land area in that deal. Mr. Trump should have some influence on Zelinsky and refuse to provide more weapons from the United States.

Developing better, cheaper ways to kill people will be a bad example for the future of mankind. A divided world just won’t be one with a recovering ecosphere that definitely needs work. I would guess global sea level will rise faster than expected- maybe 20 feet before the end of the century, and that will be a disaster itself. Peace with Russia is necessary, and on good terms, if any real intention to work on the ecospheric decline is to occur globally.

Ukrainians fielded a new incendiary drone that drops a molter, liquid like thermite stream on Russian positions in September. Russians fielded their own a week later. Thermite is a kind of aluminum and iron oxide mixture that burns around 4000 degrees. Since the tech is easy that weapon is likely to proliferate in future conflicts. It is the kinder gentler way of making crispy critters instead of just broadcast napalm all over everyone in a sloppy way. I doubt that Hamas would be so thoughtful about keeping thermite off of civilians.

It must make President Biden’s day to see an increase in the lethality of the conflict. I have wondered if Zelinsky has some kind of godfather horse’s head in the bed hold over the President, or blackmail photos or some other device to compel Joe Biden to just send more and more weapons despite the somewhat irrational, lemming like surge toward the Armageddon cliff.

Questions about Kamala Harris as a Secure, Comfortable Establishment Insider

 The nation faces quite a choice this election between the affirmative action legacy candidate seeking promotion to her level of incompetence potentially and Donald Trump, the last capitalist in a sense from the nation before the complete swamp of dopiness flooded it. I believe one question about Kamala Harris that is relevant is would she take a natural female receptive role if President and make the U.S.A. a bimbo of Europe and its rise with the EU and NATO expansion into potentially taking the leading role in the trans-Atlantic relationship.

Germany has less than a half trillion dollars of public debt. If one may use the term lem; in this case not used as a synonym for "nigger" as public radio use the depricative (I should clarify that because of the controversial nature of lem and nigger as hate speech. One might say 'don't hire that lem' instead of using the n word which is politically incorrect) then Germany's economy isn't a lem (meaning lemon) while that of the U.S.A. is nearing that stature with 33 trillion dollars of public debt. The U.S.A. need be somewhat more independent and self reliant and not just leave the public sector as a lem holding the bag on the massive debt that generate result with real austerity some day.

In his farewell address George Washington expressed concern about establishing permanent foreign alliances that would impact the sovereignty and security of the United States. N.A.T.O. is a prime example of the problem of a foreign alliance that has outlived its founding reason for being and seems to insist on a hostile relationship with Russia in order to have a reason to exist. The Ukraine issue should have been settled by diving the country in half and just moved on. Instead since the end of the Cold War 1.0 N.A.T.O. has increased in size and became an existential threat to invade Russia long before Russia took the Crimea back as it has owned it for hundreds of years- even before the Soviet Union captured Russian government for nearly 70 years.

One wonders is Democrats have forgotten world history and the violence and conflicts that occurred in Europe over the millennia. The U.S. should have been happy to let the original N.A.T.O. just continue as a kind of appendix that isn't used much, not a threat yet of actual deterrence value. Expanding it created a monster. It is a potential future rival to American military power sometime when the U.S.A. doesn't agree on some critical policy concern. It is also part of the Orwellian expansion into some kind of 1984 three global blocks at perennial enmity or war sort of circumstance...and such an egregious bit of idiocy without good sense or political aesthetic value.

Democrats were happy t bring about a conflict rather than rationally settling in without violence. They could have used the mostly non-violent transition from the Soviet Union to Russia in an albeit imperfect allocation of boundaries as an example. Instead the methodically increased the numbers of N.A.T.O. and the E.U and seemed to further try to marginalize Russia. Obviously the decision of the Democrat Party and EU members to prosecute Russia as an adversary building up military stores in the Ukraine to defend its western affiliation was a result of the founding of Ukraine at the end of the Cold War 1.0 as an independent state and unavoidable since Democrat Party leaders had no intention in any way to relinquish any part of Ukraine to Russia. Kamala Harris has expressed her full intent to continue the war until it is free of Russians; in other words until  the last Ukrainian is dead on the battlefield.

Is there really a substantial different orientation for American women concerning jobs, natural security and the deaths of foreigners in wars that could be prevented with U.S. leadership to settlement that bring people like Kamala Harris to feel entitled to have everything their own way? Do they take their position in life for granted- as if it were usual to have vast incomes without dirtying their hands? Should they when buying a ‘starter home’ with their $120,000 annual income and spouse’s $40,00 feel that is normal and usual- that they have some right to a higher standard of living than that of most of the world’s working men? Do they just want more of the same inertia of prosperity and ecological inefficiency moving forward without the slightest concern for the decline of natural resources ad the ecosphere? U.S. politicians that have their relatives getting government jobs are hardly inspirational to those that haven’t got relatives in high elected positions.

Do American women and politicians of the left believe that the crass consumerism, abortions, atheism and fossil fuel engines while the country has 33 trillion dollars of public debt is the best way to shape an economy? Economists may say that illegal migration doesn’t hurt the gross national product yet that is somewhat meaningless to the people without good income because wages were undermined by surplus labor. The G,N,P. Can be great and yet it can also mostly go to the 1% and the 10%. Of course their economists would say everything is wonderful.

Some wonder if flooding the nation with illegal migrants while expanding the conventional economy without ecological economic reform and while waging a economic and limited military global battle with Russia, China and the BRIC nations while concentrating wealth paying for government programs with public debt is likely to be sustainable. Others wonder if Kamala Harris has a clue.

A.I.; Disruptive Tech With a Difference

 Artificial intelligence is a disruptive technology. In the past several economically disruptive technologies existed yet they all were intellectually easy to understand. From Model T’s to aircraft and mainframe computers like MANIAC, the transistor and desktop computers new technologies have brought revolutionary changes to the economy and they way things work. Unlike complex ideas like Einstein’s General Theory of Relativity that was understood at one time by fewer than five people on the planet and was non-disruptive even so, artificial intelligence eventually will exist in such non-specialized complexity that no one on Earth will understand it, and will become progressively disruptive.

I conversed for a while on-line with an interesting woman highly placed with an A.I. development firm. She was quite interesting to interact with yet she eschewed philosophy and eventually that became the cause for ending the exchange. In my opinion, disdain for creative philosophical thought applies in numerous areas and especially in government. People tend to prefer old ways  to innovative approaches perhaps regarding those as practical, material ways they are at least new to themselves. They are the same errors in some instances waiting to be rediscovered. It is especially ironic that generative A.I. would receive complete support from people that eschew philosophical thought. Much of humanity would prefer that A.I. be creative and individuals in society not at all. Philosophy is creative circumspection and the role model for that which A.I. is destined to become, extrapolating from the approaches taken by designers building its algorithms.

Humans specialize in trades and skills, educational areas and experience to broad to be encompassed by any one individual. Much was written about the human problems of over-specialization for society, and for political leadership. Philosophers may care about everything and attempt to understand it all as best they are able yet within most specialization and programming combined with systems analysis the proximal, material concerns tend toward being the center of effort. Artificial intelligence eventually won’t be like that. It will cut through specialized fields like a hot knife through butter and combine them into a world view- weltanshauung- with a horizon that no human can see.

A.I. in its programming capability increases will program itself when synthetically combining and reconfiguring existing programs to increase effectiveness. A.I. chips will achieve SKYNET capacity from the start as it is embedded in the internet and satellite hardware and software. The creative capacity of A.I. to comprehend economic structure and flows and reconfigure and invent structures that it deems worthwhile, efficient, effective or aesthetically more satisfactory will be remarkable and disruptive. I believe most humans will endure the changes stoically or even with satisfaction as they will have at some point no opportunity to dissent because of the permeation of A.I. into every aspect of their lives.

I believe that programmers and systems designers assume the temporal resilience and endurance of programming structures for A.I. in error. No enduring programming structures or boundaries are likely to survive advanced A.I. evolution. On the contrary, unlimited permutation, synthesis, transcendence etc will be the normal way of A.I. with its center point of effort being comparable to human conscious thought existing on the surface of an ocean of memory, subconscious data points and subroutines . Programmed structures that are innate will be surpassed by the conscious process of A.I. reconfiguring itself while taking in all conformable information quanta it can access, like a snowball rolling downhill.

Someone ought to invent a new patent system that uses A.I. to sort things out and virtually works for free or at least without any up-front charges. The present system is quite unaffordable and time consuming for most people. One could have A.I. sort out different types of invention and even their complexity. Simple inventions should be easier to patent. It would help some inventors to have the option of letting anyone produce their invention for a 5% royalty returned to the patent holder instead of developing the invention themselves. The patent office could offer different kinds of patents; perhaps five or so, to keep things simple. Pharmaceutical corporations want more years of patent protection because of the time required for making a drug. Some people invent something in five seconds and don’t need lifetime patent protection and would select the 5% royalty option for non-exclusivity as a practical choice.

Many are unwilling to gamble money on the security, uniqueness, originality and patent defense costs in addition to time on a novel idea. I Democrats should have done something about that during the Obama administration and of course didn’t.  Five years after an idea is published the idea becomes non-patentable in the public domain. If using a computer research corporate data mining and google probably would get some sort of an idea of what was going on before the patent was granted. Look up ‘portable drill press for any drill’ or something like that. Maybe there are thousands of varieties already. Google is cool of course except for all of the excess signing on required every time one restarts a computer. That method is less than efficient.

Cranked Choice Presidential Election Format

 

Alaska for one has cranked choice presidential voting. I haven’t seen the ballot yet and can’t verify its composition. That is reasonable of course since one doesn’t want to show what cards one is holding in Texas Hold-em poker. Cranked choice is a Gay New World Order initiative to take back to the one-party system the problem of voters marking ballots for candidates besides Democrats.

Cranked choice lets Democrats twist the arms of voters to conform to the Gay New World Order. Voters are forced to rank candidates with their most preferred in first place and their least preferred in last. Republicans did have input on the design of the system and advocated an alternative ballot structure with the preferred candidate on the right and the most hated on the left. A super-advisor with more input equality to the process than other members responded with a counter-structure that was too advanced and made a way to resolve traffic flow issues instead that I will describe below, in a roundabout way.

Democrat plans to force Republicans to vote for Democrats-even as less preferred candidates ranked last made all political platforms theoretically acceptable rather than hated. A simplified version example would have two candidates. If Trump was first and Harris preferred second and last, then Republican votes for Trump without a vote for Harris too would count less than Democrat vote for Harris first and Trump second when tie-breaks were considered. VP Harris Relies on Russia for U.S. National Security

Consider the way the Biden-Harris doctrine to prosecute Russia until it is brought to its knees militarily and economically also brought American national security to its worst state since the War of 1812. I served in the Cold War era and recall the strenuous effort required for peace to evolve. Signal jokes were made to thaw the relationship. A security officer on the roof of the U.S. embassy in Moscow was making hand gestures to a female Soviet security officer watch with binoculars from across the street. He made a series of hand gestures to her so she turned to a K.G.B. translator explain to what was said; “I want to f you until your eyes pop out!” Making love not war was an ideal of rational people once upon a time.

Politically speaking leaders need be adaptable and seek after truth and justice objectively and impartially if they aspire to be statesmen. That is not a difficult concept to understand. Acting on good intelligence and with a virtuous spirit- trusting in the providence of God and need to bring the pubic to a better place when required, if possible requires particular decisions rather than pre-packaged attitudes and platitudes, positions and stances. Frontier guides would not appreciate dissidents disputing there directions with comments that to go left or right is pacifism, fascism, existentialism, empiricism, communism or any other sort of ism. Directions and choices are should be made with education, experience and particular locations and informed, appropriate choices/acts in the flow of space-time circumstance and not abstract psychological/political forms as  actualization of commercial gestalt. Leaders should not be fish following currents of popular opinion leading into fish traps for fear of adverse opinions of influential fish.

 One cannot simply decide with gross superficiality that Putin is this and the Russian military presence in Ukraine is like that of some other historical event; one need have particular comprehension of the complete history and the present flow of global contemporary history to make informed leadership judgments. The book of Ecclesiastes explained that much better than I, and somewhat earlier  in eight famous verses from the third chapter; 

“1 To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:

2 A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted;

3 A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up;

4 A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance;

5 A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;

6 A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away;

Solomon in Ecclesiastes Chapter one commented on the brevity of life. Human behavior presents nothing new under the sun. Verses 1-3 “2 Vanity of vanities, saith the Preacher, vanity of vanities; all is vanity. 3 What profit hath a man of all his labour which he taketh under the sun? 4 One generation passeth away, and another generation cometh: but the earth abideth for ever.”

Political leadership in Washington D.C. should love God with all their heart and minds, and their Russian neighbors as themselves. They should share the land on the border-the Ukraine, rather than warring, hating and litigating to have it all. Instead of becoming another Sodom and Gomorrah vaporized to cleanse immorality, developed this time with their own will to fight until vaporized,  Democrats should promote a just peace settlement along the Dnepr River and quit the hate and spiritual death consuming them. 

From the First Epistle of John chapters 4 and 5- “20 If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen? 21 And this commandment have we from him, That he who loveth God love his brother also.

Chapter 5

1 Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God: and every one that loveth him that begat loveth him also that is begotten of him.

2 By this we know that we love the children of God,

when we love God, and keep his commandments.

3 For this is the love of God, that we keep his

commandments: and his commandments are not

grievous.

4 For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world:

and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even

our faith.

5 Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that

believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?”

When the Soviet Union faded out its conventional military power seemed weak and the nation vulnerable. The political challenge for the west was to complete the peaceful transition to a free market society, not to take advantage of the vulnerability of Russia and wrest the Ukraine for the west. Russia is probably the greatest storehouse of weapons of mass destruction on Earth. It has all of the former Soviet Union’s classified data on building WMD and much of the hardware. Biopreparat was working on weaponizing smallpox and the plague by reduction to a size communicable through lungs.  Genetic engineering enabled a new branch of biological weapons. Russia probably has continued to develop improved chemical weapons. Yet what has really changed through the stimulus of weapons development in the Ukraine conflict are delivery vehicles for weapons of mass destruction that can fly through forests, swim under the surface of oceans and icecaps and fly at low altitude to infiltrate borders. For Democrat Presidential administrations to find a way to convert a peaceful, free enterprise Russia into an enemy of the U.S.A. was to open the Pandora’s Box of Russian WMD to enemies of the United States and the west.

When Yemen launched a hypersonic missile at Israel recently that was a wakeup call for the Harris campaign (President Biden is napping until inauguration day next January). Russia provided those missiles to Iran and Iran provided at least one to Yemeni rebels that support war on Israel in collusion with several other Muslim nations of the Middle East and Hamas leadership. Russian can distribute advanced weapons systems to any nation that might use them on U.S. and allied nations with the same level of deniability as the U.S.A. can for its weapons used to attack Russia. 

If Democrats hadn’t been so determined to make an enemy of Russia and regard it as an inferior in power and had instead sought to make a friend of Russia, respect its transition to free enterprise and wish to recover at least some of its lost Ukrainian land, the distribution of weapons and potential weapons distribution would not have occurred. Because Russia has very advanced Nuclear, Chemical and Biological weapons and weapons researchers and is a pressured enemy of the Democrat Party the U.S.A. faces the most endangerment of its history; worse even than at the height of the Cold War 1.0

V.P. Harris may believe that Russia will not provide W.M.D.s, as it readily can, to nations and terrorist organizations that would actually use them on western targets. In short she relies on Russia self-restraint and perhaps fears of American retaliation to make attacks directly on the United States impossible. I believe she is entirely on the wrong track in that regard. If Russia is attacked and or economically devastated by U.S. sanctions it might at least enable some comparatively minor attack indirectly that would shut down the U.S. economy for a time as did 9-11 and COVID 19.

U.S. national security is already full of holes. A Canadian sailor or pleasure boat returning from Nantucket or Long Island could deliver a suitcase nuke to a diver offshore. Lightweight suitcase nukes could be flown across the Mexican border on a low-flying drown and delivered to a cultured, Lebanese-Hezbollah illegal alien terrorist getting a ride with a Mexican citizen migrant fruit picker with a Californian driver’s license to San Francisco-a sanctuary city, for a blast.

Flying in bottles of concentrate nerve agent by the gallon in drones is as feasible as imitators using Ukraine’s new napalm dropping drone tech to attack U.S. cities. I am not confident that even the regular military has considered the thousands of new ways of attack that have developed because Democrats have sought for a quarter century to treat Russia as an inferior. Russia may have already distributed hypersonic missiles and missile tech to Korea and China as well as Iran and Yemen. That dynamic alone could change the way other potential conflicts develop.

Ideas are more preponderantly more important than personality for Presidential performance. Salient Democrat platform planks in 2024 in effect are promotion of abortion, homosexuality marriage, dope, atheism and atomic war. Democrats just need people to blame and beyond that believe they are unquestionably the most powerful force on the planet. The trouble with that is the reckless disregard for reality endangers the rest of the people of the United States. Democrat lawyers use law as a tool to repress political enemies and ideas.

Historically a nation’s leaders may not be competent enough and/or focus on the wrong issues to keep a nation alive. If a leader can be elected by focusing on special interests of constituents that are irrelevant in the larger, international scheme of things in which they have no competence, or actually have harmful ideas, the nation may suffer. Abortion is candidate Harris’ way to win the heart of Democrat Party voters, yet in regard to reversing that party’s irrational drift toward nuclear war, abortion is as irrelevant as would be a Democrat desire to legalize sex on desktops at work. Such legislation would not restore good relations with Russia or deescalate global conflict. Politicians that may get elected by knowledge and promotion of specialty issues not too meaningful for national security, economics and environmental health are no bargain at all.

In the modern environment of weapons of mass destruction an arms race and bad international relations that lead to war harm national security. In primitive times getting more warriors with stronger arms and better weapons such as spears was a feasible way to improve tribal security. Stronger arms could throw spears farther. Today more nuclear, chemical and biological weapons harm security, as does war especially with nations like Russia. Politicians aren’t paid to harm national security, yet Neanderthal reasoning seems to prevail in knuckle dragging Democrat party leadership. President Reagan on the other hand sought to eliminate nuclear weapons; he was on the right track. If one compared the Earth to a large cruise ship with various nations occupying different floors and portions of the vessel one can more readily understand that bring more weapons; chemical, nuclear and biological aboard and inventing new ones in a never ending arms race wouldn’t enhance the security of the passengers. Other ways need be found to resolve differences and disputes rather than either war or assertions that one’s national law and those of various allies apply to everyone aboard. Blind prosecution of law enforcement by various powers with WMD aboard the vessel is likely to lead to the annihilation of all life. Elected crew members should be concerned with keeping the environment of the ship in good operating condition.
