Does the Chinese Farming Transition to Home Responsibility Systems Provide Lessons on US Farm Subsidies?

In going over a course on the history of the modern Chinese economy I encountered the Xiaogang phenomenon of family farmers organizing home responsibility systems for farming plots covertly in an era of full commune collective farming. The H.R.S. were so much more productive than collectives that the Deng leadership eventually transitioned the entire national farming system to H.R.S. One has to wonder how the Communist Chinese in the de-collectivizing era managed to eliminate farm subsidies yet the United States government hasn't.

There are of course innumerable areas in the modern era where government need be involved with economic management to prevent enormities from developing that harm millions. It may be necessary eventually to establish a basic income for all Americans in order to allow cherry picking of business ventures that are ecospherically  beneficially rather than deleterious. Such a level of careful examination of the effects of business ventures a priori would tend to leave people jobless periodically as a transition to sustainability was evolved. A.I displacement of jobs is another probable cause for large numbers of people losing income.

China's experience with gradual economic reform showed the difficulty of privatizing state owned enterprises until they have economic failure. Creating efficiency in government operations is important in democracies as communist societies evolving toward privatization even as they continue a policy of state social insurance for the well being of citizens.

Shouldn't there be a positive correlation between Federal spending, economic growth and reduction of public debt?

Farm subsidies apparently mostly go to large firms with concentrated wealth rather than small farmers.  This is what A.I. reported about farm subsidies;

"How are subsidies distributed?

The majority of subsidies go to the largest producers of corn, soybeans, wheat, cotton, and rice

Most other agriculture, like fruits, vegetables, and tree nuts, receives minimal government support

Some subsidies, like import tariffs, generate tax revenue for the government

What are the criticisms of farm subsidies?

They can harm the environment and public health

They can distort planting decisions

They can lead to overproduction

They can inflate land values

They can discourage farmers from innovating and cutting costs

They can steer resources to households with higher incomes."

So I wonder if there are lessons to be learned from the Chinese economic transition period from collective to private farming that may be applied in the United States to increase farm productivity. With the cost of food being so high even marginal decreases in cost would be useful to consumers.

Zelensky Finally Revealed He is an Enemy of the United States

President Zelensky and his staff have revealed themselves as enemies of the United States. They feel entitled to U.S. military and economic support as if the U.S.A. were obligated to provide billions and billions of dollars to them. The weasels use every lever they can to coerce the administration into providing free military aid so they can have protracted war with Russia and take all of the land of Ukraine given by Bill Clinton after the breakup of the Soviet Union for themselves.

In Zelensky's bent logic the U.S.A. is somehow responsible for Russians killing Ukrainians if it doesn't send more weapons to extend the war. The United States doesn't need a relationship with an abusive lunatic. The U.S.A. should release any Russian assets it has frozen if the EU nations seize frozen Russian assets and give them to Zelensky for war and concealment in bitcoin.

I wonder if Zelensky was initially chosen by unknown elites in the same way that Hitler was chosen. Hitler was picked by the high command of the Wehrmacht because of his charismatic voice and appearance to co-opt the German Socialist Worker's party leadership. In all likelihood deposed German aristocrats were behind that. Zelensky may have been elevated for the same reason of being a comedian knowing how to sway crowds for those that like the modern punk-funk approach to politics and war. He seems like a perverse alien shill for recrudescent Axis power.

Some say Zelensky's trip to Qatar or Dubai was to arrange a place to store money. He could have bought billions in cryptocurrency already. Like Erich Honecker he may not have much safety after he leaves Ukraine. Hitler didn't suicide until the last hour before Russians arrived. At the end many dictators find a country without extradition to flee to.

Zelensky May Offer Comedian's Cease Fire Tomorrow

Starmer and Zelensky may announce a comedic cease fire for propaganda purposes tomorrow wherein Russia and Ukraine stop all air, sea and energy facility attacks for a month so Ukraine can have the opportunity to rebuild its military infrastructure for war that was devastated by Russia. Then the Axis powers will deploy tens of thousands of trooper-peacekeepers in Ukraine so they can spearhead attacks on Russian held areas when the cease fire ends.

Macron- an Axis partner, beat him to the punch...  https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/ckg1r4g08kwo

Put Zelensky and Starmer on the No Fly List

British P.M. Starmer and Ukrainian President Zelensky are each harmful to U.S. interests and security and should not be allowed travel to the United States. The British P.M. is continuing the war in Ukraine thereby directly threatening the national security of the west. The United States should make an exemption for defense of Europe from nuclear attack in this case since there is plenty of time before nuclear war to register dissent.

Britain’s mindless fanaticism for war and eastward expansion is fueled by their lunatic puppet Zelensky’s rabid desire to have sovereignty over historically Russian land Ukraine. The Britain-Poland-French-German axis of evil to expand eastward militarily and ploy to negotiate a fake peace where Ukraine is armed with Axis weapons during a cease fire and Axis troops are deployed as ostensible peacekeepers on the line of combat contact in Ukraine perpetuates policy unacceptable to Russia and Russian security. The Axis powers count on the N.A.T.O. defense treaty to draw in the United States to defend the Axis countries if they get the hot conventional war going.

President Trump should renegotiate the N.A.T.O. treaty as he did N.A.F.T.A. in order to exclude lunatic policy selections from being acceptable grounds for American participation in mutual defense to be invoked. The Axis 2 lunatics are in effect weaponizing the N.A.T.O. treaty to exploit the U.S.A. as the blaster in the master-blaster Thunderdome paradigm.

On Christology

Christology is not a simple subject. Even so I would say that making categories a,b,c, regarding what comprises a human or “a complete human” are not very satisfactory, much less applied to Christ. One can make a set of word to comprise a definition and invalidate that criteria with formal logical examination. One might define the parameters for an ostrich and if it includes fins then the criterion is wrong. One never gets anything more than words that are logically consistent with the criterion you built. Words are different than objects.

There is the additional problem of words as definite articles compounded, with those words individually difficult to define through reductionist procedures. One has trouble defining a spirit, a mind etc. especially as contingent objects. The divine nature and character cannot be defined exhaustively for that is not an object of human knowledge. How the Spirit of God indwells Christ as a human is not something that can definitely be known. neither is it simple to define what a soul is or how it is constructed; it could just be information or a record that God keeps of the data of a human life. If programmers can know the data that makes a program or an AI and recover it if hardware breaks down I am sure that God can do better than the best quantum computer would ever be able to do in order to capture the entirety of information that makes a human being, soul etc. what it is.

At end one can say that Christ was fully human and God. He is The Son and is Spirit as are the Father and the Holy Spirit. As a human physically he knew God the Father. One cannot satisfy the criterion of defining the proportions or composition of Jesus in regard to the other two members of the Triune God through physical means.

America Should Partner with Russia on Donbas Minerals

I am not a pro-war partisan. I took several history courses on Russia in the 1980s and one of Russian governance in the 10s as part of my world history focus and understood the problem of the West’s irrational exuberance to plunder Russia en passant with the fall of the Soviet Union. Western leadership was ignorant (Bill Clinton) and expansionist (EU and NATO) and just kept doubling down on their initial carpet-bagging.

Intimidating and forcing Russia to know tow to a queer and subservient political economy overseen by a corrupt west that thought it could finance its deficit spending by extraction from Russia was and is a partisan Democrat play book. They used maximum force to try to accomplish that so far as possible. They are corrupt and stupid.

Democrats sought to negate the peace maker Donald Trump by incriminating and convicting him although he deserved a Nobel Prize that partisan expansionist Swedes would never give.

Trump’s felony conviction occurred in a heavily partisan political area with obvious conflicts of interest. The crime itself seemed to be not a crime; that is claiming payments made to suppress bad publicity as a campaign expense seems reasonable. Political campaigns pay a lot for positive advertising- paying not to have negative publicity is the flip side of the coin. Trump’s work presently is valuable for trying to end the Ukraine war.  European and Ukrainian security will be guaranteed with peace and renormailzed economic relations and development rather than continued adversarial relations. To draw down the knife fight both sides need put away the blades.

Peace between superpowers is based to a certain extent on trust. Like the value of the dollar based on nothing more than the faith and credit of the United States rather than gold or some other material, peace can only be as strong as trust and respect for other nations. One need put effort into building peace and renormalizing relations between Europe, Russia and the United States directly.

At the super-power level trust needs to be the deterrent to war. When each side can obliterate each other there is no value in engaging in battle at a conventional scale that easily can get beyond control resulting in the end of human civilization. Clemenceau wanted to guarantee the peace for ending World War One, and it wasn’t, and World War Two grew to fruition. That paradigm is however anachronistic. There is no Maginot Line that will prevent World War Three.

There are so many that argue in favor of continuing conflict. I don’t mind if they reap what they sew except they draw everyone else into the consequences of their failure of good sense. I wouldn’t equivocate categories of crimes- I think they are all quite different. Some laws on the books are unfair or enforced selectively; just laws are what matter. Giving student loans to some and none to others is a concern; laws should be applied equally rather than selectively and with bias.

The Democrat Party after the end of the Cold War bungled the peace. I regard the present situation as entirely the fault of Democrat leadership. Russia was quite willing to exist peacefully with the west; the west insisted on taking all of Ukraine including Crimea that was astoundingly provocative, and then expanded eastward. The formation of the EU swoll their ambition. Irrational exuberance made discounting negative consequences of expansion trivial. Russia was disrespected and found no remedies beside war. In my opinion the west created their own enemy- and even insisted on it and doubled down reminding me of the sci-fi  movie ‘Forbidden Planet’.

Reductionism of Materialism Yields Uncertainty

A problem with materialism is that it tends to dissolve into uncertainty considered with physics reductionism. Dualism compounds the uncertainty. M/Q=U. Materialism divided by quanta equals uncertainty.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z08ci_g9SGg

Reductionism of materialism yields uncertainty at the smallest and largest levels. It probably will always be so. Yet one can mold and fabricate with the given of physicalism from mud bricks to quantum computers and that, ultimately is what materialists love. Philosophically though materialism or physicalism is a reference parameter for words rather than a final destination. Without the Spirit in-dwelling a life resurrection unto life will not occur and the worldly mind that hates God does prevail, and that leads to death. A field tied locally in knots of clove hitches or strings rippling with uncertainty that may be the will of God; that will always be a delimiter of uncertainty running into Godel's limits. Yet the quest for learning is always admired.

Guarantee Ukraine Security with Peace

European and Ukrainian security will be guaranteed with peace and renormailzed economic relations and development rather than continued adversarial relations. To draw down the knife fight both sides need put away the blades.

Deng Xiaoping compared the process of Chinese economic development to "crossing the river by feeling the stones". Developing peace is a comparable process that requires people to take an affirmative first step and continue walking across the water though they can't see what is below.

Clemenceau wanted to guarantee the peace for ending World War One, and it wasn't, and World War Two grew to fruition. That paradigm is however anachronistic. There is no Maginot Line that will prevent World War Three.

Zelensky and Euro Leaders Lack the Holy Spirit

President Zelensky’s abusive visit to the Oval Office demonstrated the problem that fleshy, worldly minds have in finding the Holy Spirit. They have minds for war and death seeking to obtain the wealth of the world continuing forward under the guidance of the devil to destroy others and eventually themselves. Europe’s leaders seek a way to continue the war with a belief they can exhaust Russia economically and militarily. Plainly the entire criterion of seeking to destroy the wealth of Russia may have an effect on destroying the wealth of Europe too.

Finding peace with God may be requisite for finding peace in the local, national and international sphere of friction and competition. Europe’s ambitious leaders believe war is a way to advance human interests and they are wrong. They should encourage a settlement with Russia directly in regard to Ukraine. President Trump has provided a reasonable approach.

Whispers of the Tides (a song)

Romans 8: 1-11 “There is therefore now no condemnation to them that are in Christ Jesus. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus made me free from the law of sin and of death. For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God, sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh: that the ordinance of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. For they that are after the flesh mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit. For the mind of the flesh is death; but the mind of the Spirit is life and peace: because the mind of the flesh is enmity against God; for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can it be: and they that are in the flesh cannot please God. But ye are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you. But if any man hath not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his. And if Christ is in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the spirit is life because of righteousness. But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwelleth in you, he that raised up Christ Jesus from the dead shall give life also to your mortal bodies through his Spirit that dwelleth in you.”

Trump May Defeat European Russophobia

The rapid progress with the Trump administration toward renormalizing relations with Russia and ending the Ukraine War occurs in an interesting historical paradigm that John Meirsheimer reviewed in a video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MKjFD9fPQxg

Some have nominated former Assistant Sect. Of State Victoria Nuland for the designer of Joe Biden Ukraine policy yet I think that is an inadequate place to lay the blame. Bureaucrats may be a focal point or catch basin for social forces desiring policy directions yet they for-themselves couldn’t bring powerful disagreeing parties like the military industrial complex to support those or other policies they felt were counterproductive to profit although they might comply if required by the chief executive. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Victoria_Nuland

Mr. Zelensky is used to having his way. Perhaps he bullied Joe Biden and Kamala Harris easily. His argument with Pres Trump and VP Vance did not go the way he wanted.

Others have reported that the reason for the meeting in DC of President Macron and P.M. Starmer were to hand off supervisory custody of President Zelensky to the C.I.A. Apparently France was given custody by outgoing President Biden in order to prevent the Trump administration C.I.A. from gaining access to information that might be deleterious for the members of the Biden administration. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8_UwSPnCRKA

In Reply to A Few Good Ad Hominems

Someone criticized me for writing that I don’t expect political leadership to appear that supports a competent, realistic plan for a complete national change to ecological economic; I said the political leaders aren’t intelligent enough.  The following is just my reply.

High percent of falsehood in your post. I didn’t mention Musk incidentally yet he has no ecological economic remake plan or intent although electric cars are nice. That sort of plan need be public and fact checked prior to an election. He hasn’t done anything like that and isn’t likely to. Vested interest of Wal Street oppose changing the way things are.

https://www.udio.com/songs/pqrd6Z6RCdCSG93JoKfUmz

About b.s. being overwhelming; it is what it is. Having listened to the irrelevant ideas that won’t change the political economy to ecological economics sustainability and knowing how the election cycle works I won’t expect to see a single competent candidate or party platform the next 12 years. Being 70 years old I rationally don’t expect to see the revolutionary change required in my lifetime. You say that makes me a loser. Oh well, everyone may be a loser if James Lovelock’s ‘The Final Warning’ actualizes. With so many people ordinarily being so rude that reduces the prospects for necessary change and adaptation. A will to work cooperatively to bring about radical change and economic upgrade transforming from unsustainable economics to a new and different foundation is de rigeur if that magnitude of political action is to occur.

I like the falsehood that I have hidden in education with a cushy job for years. I wish that were so. It is really enjoyable fiction of great quality!

Biden more competent than Trump; not at all in the past four years. Even in his 1980 presidential campaign he was plagiarizing speeches.

over the entire global system—economic, political, and military.

Even if you don’t expect to be around to see it, do you think there’s any way for regular people to shape where this is all headed? Or is it just going to play out according to the interests of the powerful?”

Part 2 of 2; A Chat with ChatGPT About Politics

My writing is in bold print and not in quotes.

Do you believe a dictatorship will arise to eliminate wild AI development?

“The rise of a dictatorship to control or eliminate unregulated AI development is a plausible concern, especially in the context of growing technological power and the challenges it presents to governance. Here are some considerations regarding this potential:

  1. Centralized Control: As AI becomes increasingly powerful and influential, some governments or organizations may seek to centralize control over its development to ensure national security, prevent misuse, or maintain power. In such cases, these entities could enact authoritarian measures, consolidating control over AI research and its applications.
  2. AI Regulation and Governance: In response to the risks posed by uncontrolled AI development, there may be calls for stronger regulation. However, the nature of AI’s power—being deeply embedded in economic, military, and social systems—could lead to the rise of regimes that enforce stringent regulations. In extreme cases, this could evolve into a dictatorship that justifies its actions as necessary for preventing existential threats, such as those posed by rogue AI or AI in warfare.
  3. Surveillance and Control: With advanced AI systems, a government or authoritarian regime could implement highly effective surveillance and control mechanisms over its population. If AI is used to track, predict, and manipulate behavior, the potential for a totalitarian regime increases. AI’s ability to monitor social media, communications, and even facial recognition could empower authoritarian leaders to maintain control.
  4. Global Power Struggles: On a broader scale, the global competition for AI supremacy may lead to geopolitical tensions. Some governments might exploit AI to assert dominance and suppress opposition, potentially leading to the erosion of democratic institutions or civil liberties.
  5. Public Resistance and Ethical Pushback: On the other hand, there is also the potential for significant public resistance, ethical movements, and activism aimed at preventing such a rise in authoritarian control. Civil society organizations, tech ethicists, and international coalitions could push for transparency, oversight, and the democratization of AI technology to prevent such dystopian outcomes.

The fear of a dictatorship arising to control AI development is not unfounded, particularly given the power AI could confer on those who control it. However, whether such a scenario will unfold depends on political, social, and technological developments in the coming years. Ensuring that AI development is grounded in ethics, human rights, and global cooperation will be crucial in preventing such outcomes. Global conversations around AI governance, regulation, and responsibility will play a key role in shaping the future trajectory.”

Would AI be able to.model and manage global ecological resources for sustainability?

“Yes, AI has the potential to model and manage global ecological resources for sustainability, and it could play a key role in addressing climate change and environmental degradation. Here’s how AI could contribute:

  1. Monitoring and Data Collection: AI can process vast amounts of environmental data from satellite imagery, sensors, and other sources, helping to monitor ecosystems, track biodiversity, measure pollution, and detect environmental changes in real time. This would provide a clearer understanding of the health of ecosystems globally.
  2. Resource Management: AI could be used to optimize resource use, ensuring that natural resources are used efficiently and sustainably. For example, AI can help in agriculture by optimizing water use, reducing waste, and improving crop yields without harming the environment. In energy, AI could manage renewable energy grids, optimize energy storage, and predict demand and supply more accurately.
  3. Climate Modeling and Predictions: AI could significantly enhance climate models, providing more accurate predictions of future environmental conditions. This could help with everything from predicting extreme weather events to understanding long-term climate patterns, guiding policies and actions to mitigate potential damage.
  4. Ecosystem Restoration: AI could be used to model ecosystems and plan restoration projects. By analyzing data from the past and present, AI could suggest how to restore biodiversity, repair ecosystems, and regenerate lost habitats in the most effective and least disruptive way.
  5. Sustainability Metrics and Decision Support: AI can help create more effective sustainability metrics, tracking the carbon footprint, waste generation, and other ecological impacts of industries, governments, and individuals. AI could then be used to create decision-support tools that guide governments and businesses toward sustainable practices and policies.
  6. Optimization of Supply Chains: AI can help optimize supply chains to reduce waste, increase recycling, and promote more sustainable production and consumption practices. By predicting demand and optimizing transportation, AI can reduce carbon emissions and resource usage across industries.
  7. Biodiversity Protection: AI can help track endangered species, identify poaching activities, and monitor habitats to ensure the protection of biodiversity. Machine learning models could predict the impacts of human activities on ecosystems and help design interventions to prevent further loss.

While AI has immense potential, its deployment must be managed carefully to avoid unintended consequences, such as exacerbating inequalities, damaging ecosystems, or increasing carbon footprints in the process. It would need to be implemented alongside strong policies and ethical frameworks to ensure that AI contributes positively to global sustainability goals.”

What effect will quantum computers with a million qubits have on  AI military applications

“Quantum computers with millions of qubits could revolutionize AI, especially in military applications, by vastly increasing computational power and enabling new capabilities. Here’s how such advancements might affect AI in military contexts:

  1. Enhanced Machine Learning: Quantum computers could potentially speed up complex machine learning algorithms. AI systems could analyze massive datasets faster, improving decision-making capabilities, surveillance, and autonomous systems.
  2. Encryption and Decryption: Quantum computing could break traditional encryption methods, making data vulnerabilities a serious concern. AI could be used to defend against this, but also, military forces may exploit quantum computing for more advanced cybersecurity, counterintelligence, and communication strategies.
  3. Optimization and Logistics: Quantum algorithms could optimize military strategies, logistics, and resource management in ways that classical computers can’t. For instance, AI could use quantum computing to simulate and optimize battlefield scenarios or supply chain operations in real time, improving efficiency and response time.
  4. Autonomous Weapons Systems: Advanced AI, powered by quantum computing, could potentially enhance the capabilities of autonomous weapons, enabling them to analyze complex environments and make real-time decisions much faster than current systems. This raises both technological and ethical concerns, especially regarding the accountability and decision-making processes in autonomous military actions.
  5. Simulation and Strategy: Quantum computing could enable more accurate simulations of complex military scenarios, which could enhance strategic planning and predictive capabilities, giving nations with quantum computing advantage a potentially significant edge in warfare.

While the potential for military applications is vast, it also brings significant risks, particularly in terms of power imbalance, global security, and the ethical use of AI in combat. There would likely be a push for international regulation to control the development and use of these technologies.

The Democrat party hasn’t intelligent leadership so the default is for Republican politicians fronting for the plutonomy to determine the political course for the USA

“Yeah, the Democrats don’t seem to have a coherent strategy beyond maintaining the status quo, and the Republicans—being more openly aligned with corporate power—end up steering things by default. It’s a dynamic where one side flounders, and the other exploits that failure to push policies that further entrench wealth and power.

Neither party seems capable of addressing the systemic issues that AI, automation, and economic collapse will bring. They’re stuck playing the old game while the rules are being rewritten in real-time by technological and economic forces beyond their control.

Do you see any potential for an alternative political force to emerge, or is the system too rigid to allow that?”

Not before some kind of social disaster

“That makes sense. Historically, real political change usually comes after a major crisis—economic collapse, war, or some other system shock that makes the old order unsustainable. Without that, the entrenched powers just keep running things as usual, no matter how dysfunctional it gets.

If AI and automation keep accelerating economic displacement, that could be the breaking point. A society where most people are economically obsolete but still expected to obey the rules isn’t stable in the long run. Whether the collapse leads to something better or just more chaos depends on how people react when the system starts to fall apart.

Do you think the coming social disaster will be fast and dramatic, or more of a slow unraveling?”

9-11 occurred quickly. A few guys with box cutters changed the US economy.

“Yeah, 9/11 was a sudden shock that reshaped U.S. policy, the economy, and global affairs almost overnight. A handful of people with minimal resources managed to trigger wars, surveillance expansion, and a massive shift in government spending. It’s a stark example of how fragile complex systems can be—how a small but well-placed event can set off cascading consequences.

If something similar happened in the economic realm—whether from AI-driven job loss, financial collapse, or some unexpected disruption—it could force radical change just as quickly. The difference is that economic crises tend to build up pressure over time before they explode. We could be in the middle of one now, just waiting for the moment when the breaking point is reached.
Do you think those in power see what’s coming, or are they blind to it like they were before 2008?”

Capital increases faster than wages and the process is tiresome to observe. The situation is like Abbot and Costello’s who’s on first. Politicians blunder about sometimes getting a few things right. Yet the cost for those mistakes are scaling up too.

“Yeah, capital accumulation outpacing wages is an old story, but with AI and automation accelerating, it’s becoming even more extreme. The ultra-wealthy keep pulling ahead while most people struggle, and politicians—fumbling around like a bad comedy routine—mostly serve as distractions rather than problem solvers.

The difference now is that the stakes are getting higher. The cost of bad decisions, or just inaction, isn’t just another recession or inequality bump—it’s systemic collapse. Whether it’s climate, automation, AI-driven economic shifts, or geopolitical instability, every mistake compounds into something harder to fix.”

Metaphysical Non-Sense

I will try to provide an answer without gnostic non-sense yet with sufficient non-sense to qualify as a proto-metaphysical kernal. Metaphysics is something someone does in a gravity protected shelter somewhere near the event horizon of a black hole to contemplate if one is a holographic representation of a higher dimensional universe if they would still be entangled in a real Higgs Field or just one they imagine exists on the basis of inferences of noumena.

A Form of Monophysitism and Arian Heresy Persist

The Arian heresy and Monphysites have been about quite some time. One need be blind not to see the Trinity in the New Testament. God the Father and The Son are quite distinct. Jesus and Paul each referred to the Holy Spirit.

There are dozens of neo Cabalistic derivatives of a Philo of Alexandria - Pierre Tielhard De Jardin formulation floating about as well. Muhammad' s father was keeper of the Kabbalah until fired and he probably didn't experience more secret insight pagan schemes.

I have read Plato and Aristotle and found no mention of a trinity. Some pre-Platonic philosophers had pluralism yet their concepts of god were quite different from God of Christians and Jews. The profusion of modern heretical doctrines ill-informed of history surpasses even those of agnostics and syncretist of the ancient past.

Plotinus the neo Platonist had the One and the Nous, I believe it was, yet Plotinus wrote in the third century a.d., not the first. He perhaps adapted Platonism to a more Christian paradigm-he was brilliant after all; even so Augustine quit  being a follower of Plotinus and converted to Christianity. Obviously pagans had innumerable gods for every occasion.

A Revolution for Ukraine

Ukraine’s infrastructure destruction could be a blessing if political leadership makes it so. Usually a revolution is required to destroy the old economic infrastructure and rebuild it on new principles. The people of the world need a new political economy founded on principles of ecological economic sustainability. Usually revolution is required for such change and that often brings the devastation of physical infrastructure through civil war. Europe and western leadership have already accomplished devastating Ukraine and destroying the economic infrastructure because they would not share Ukraine with Russia. Maybe given another try at complete economic change in Ukraine they can do better.

Revolution sometimes is the only way to accomplish political change. Revolutions over history have been generally vague about what would be accomplished following a successful political revolt. Marx’s Communist Manifesto and Das Kapital are a case in point of failing to provide a realistic template for what the new theoretical state would be like. Elizabeth Warren’s 2020 Presidential primary platform of  Green and Blue New Deals was estimated to cost 70 trillion dollars to actualize by the broadcast media, and the public had little or no awareness of what it entailed; it was another blank check approach to governance.

Unlike revolutions of the past a revolution to bring about sustainable economics would require a completely comprehensive plan to actualize after the revolt brought new leadership into power. With the complexity of ecological economics exceeding the present knowledge of this generation of politicians and most of the public, the prospects for bring a successful revolution to ripen are vanishingly rare. Not only would the military element be nearly impossible to accomplish in the modern era of surveillance state with omnipresent observation of the citizens and their communication since revolutionaries would be extirpated a priori, the requirements for a comprehensive ecological economic makeover of the political economy mean that the construction of the plan would require a large number of  experts and could not be done in secret. Overt revolutionary planning in public social media would be a novel revolutionary criterion.

Usually following a revolution in the devastated landscape that may exist humans would self-organize reconstruction in accordance with their prior knowledge and history of political economy. In other words they would be clueless about ecological economic principles and would rebuild the old maladapted political economy.

Since 2014 the United States has spent more than 250 billion dollars to prop up Kiev with military support. There was additional spending that wasn’t directly military. That is a lot of money and all that is has accomplished has been bringing Ukraine to a state of ruin with trillions required for a complete rebuild. That raises the possibility of rebuilding Ukraine with an entirely new economic infrastructure founded on ecological economic scientific principles in order to accomplish a sustainable economy.  Ukraine is a wonderful, representative devastated nation suitable for rebuilding with a completely new ecological economic criterion of sustainability yet unfortunately even European politicians are entirely devoid of ideas on the topic or of a desire to accomplish it.

President Zelensky has said Ukraine only received $100 from the U.S.A. The missing billions highlights the problem with corruption globally accentuated by the low quality of media reporting and spin that is ordinary. In that caustic social environment money and economic perfidy are the rule rather than the exception. The media has tended toward normalizing political snafu to benefit themselves.

Ukraine has achieved the prefect post-revolutionary devastation useful for starting a new economic infrastructure. Usually anarchy immediately follows revolutions if there isn’t a very strong, authoritarian power taking control. Ukraine existing in a somewhat mildly pretentious independence might be amenable to experimenting for the globe as a region with a new political economy of ecological sustainability. The Eu should be planning for that kind of state and perhaps share with Russia an ecological economic modality that could encompass the Easter Ukraine that is effectively Russia. Conventional trade could pass through Ukraine and vital mining operations exist yet there should be a radical makeover innovating and insinuating complete ecosphere sustainability into the next economic infrastructure.

Regarding Colin Wilson's ''The Outsider'

Nice statement and photographic presentation; Clint Eastwood walking away from the philosophical showdown a winner. There are a few more than one guy that know world civilization is sick these days.

The problem is that civilization is just a socially evolved historical growth that has reached environmental limits on a planet. It wasn’t designed Rather than being responsive and adaptive to challenges it ignores them and is maladapted. Vested interests resist change naturally. Toynbee wrote that economic infrastructure can’t generally be changed and that has been a cause for failure of civilization. With just one Global civilization failure means planetary catastrophe. Actually many expect that, especially dystopian science fiction writers.

Optimists work for basic universal income to eliminate poverty and social exclusion, and make transition to ecological economics and restoration of the ecosphere easier while building sustainable human outposts on planets and moons barren of life.

Replies to a Hater of God

Following are my replies to a hater of God from a FB chatroom. I haven’t included his attacks here. I can however use the material again. since the attacks are rather genetic.

The OP was just on the topic of what is the fundamental stuff of the universe; is it information?

Information is meaningful for sentients. Within noumena for-itsrlf nothing is meaningful or prioritized unless God deems it so. For humans I would say fields are fundamental and waves an aspect of them.

-You may feel that way but the comment is irrelevant in the criterion of considering the noumenon. Non-sentient being has no meaning, unless for God. To clarify that for you; subtracting human and any other sentient beings existing in the phenomenal nothing meaningful exists with the sole possible exception being God who may issue the noumenon. I am aware that some atheists and agnostics would fail to understand that, believing they would need to concede the existence of God to agree with the point even though that is not at all necessary. Even so some would yet wish to express their unbelief and make some sort of ad hominem or psychological comment on anyone making that point

– Ivmight point out that even Sartre made a comparable point when he said in Being and Nothingness that only God could see the world and how others of the world see him at the same time. People have said that Sartre didn’t believe in God, although I can’t confirm that. Regardless belief isn’t necessary to consider a supernatural supreme being author of reality in relationship to non,-sentient mass and noumena that no sentience coheres in to know or care about.

-You brought up the topic of ancient Greece with a false claim that I didn’t take ancient Greek history seriously so I controverted that falsehood. Flipping about between ad hominems and topics is polemical- not philosophical. Philosophy is a reasoned activity not a flight from straw man to straw man deflection.

The OP concerned in effect, Shannon entropy and the question of it being fundamental or alternatively, what is fundamental- i.e. fermions, bosons etc. You’re tangential diatribes are off topic.

Apparently you are motivated by a hatred of Christianity and attack the concept of God like a bull charging a red flag wherever you encounter it.

Ancient history is a continuum so far as it is known. Even the 11th century b,c settlements in Anatolia and the Levant are meaningful for Christians. The Younger Dryas and change of climate and sea level with the Saudi peninsula are relevant. History doesn’t wear blinders.

-“Nature integrates values” is an anthropomorphic proposition. Collingwood might have observed that it presupposes nature as having values. “We integrate values whether we agree or not” is an equivocation begging the point of self-contradiction implicitly. Nature is not a synonym for an individual or humanity. Asserting the equivalence effectively dissolves reason into matter or presupposes the reason of nature, perhaps as an intelligible monism.

Greek history is pretty irrelevant to the OP and correcting falsehood is not unwise. Your assertion that I didn’t take ancient Greek history seriously was false- the best way to show that was citing some of my reading in the field.

-I would agree that Greek philosophy is not the most direct way to reply to the OP although I wouldn’t rule it out since preSocratics like Parmenides and Heraclitus were keenly interested in such matters. You brought ancient Greece up- not me. History of the Maccabees or Assyrian invasion of Judah won’t build up a good answer to the question; try this free course online if you are interest in Greek philosophy before Plato. https://coursera.org/learn/plato

-The 11th millennium BCE is a good place to start learning about civilization. I haven't time to instruct you on history, on Socrates' inquiries into truth or the condition of being lost spiritually and predestination to heaven or hell. Reliance on global warming gas generating fuels for transport isn't very inventive or adaptive. https://youtu.be/vXJc-Y3Mf5w?feature=shared

Common street wisdom aka common philosophy is substantially different from the prescriptive, analytic and speculative philosophical ventures of philosophers the past 3700 years. Maybe the question is to what extent does one need to examine life to merit being regarded as a philosopher. Philosophy or wisdom may require more than channel surfing, Nintendo and sports, working for corporate or satiation with prosperity. The standard may be non-philosophical.  Philosophers are not a demographic majority.

Was Hegel Correct in Saying Philosophy Isn't Suitable for the Mob?

Social media has brought everyone the opportunity to believe they are an intellectual or that the common opinion is philosophically interesting. People write before they reason or survey a full range of ideas. Democracy in a social media can bring the mob- Democrats and fellow travelers from a mirror universe named for Republicans to believe that simplistic political ideas are adequate for running a nation, that party moral values are correct and the highest authority regarding knowledge is themselves. It is as if, as Wallace Stevens wrote, they believe the only Lord is the Lord of ice cream. Maybe middle class mass produced prosperity is the modern mob eschewing philosophy texts and immersed in video games etc.  Half of Americans don't read books at all

Philosophical thought may be on a relativistic, scalable time basis with the mob being ever more literate and philosophy ever more sophisticated. In Hegel’s time the illiterate peasant mob with dirty clothing could not comprehend his thoughts nor would have they been too interested in listening to Hegel discourse on spirit evolving to realize itself through history. Today the average talcum powdered machine conveyed American has little interest in select subjects of idealism and epistemology regarding an existence of reality objectively entangled in the Higgs field as fermions. Maybe there isn’t a great distance between the pre- Socratic cosmology ideas of Thales and Parmenides and those concerning volume and the void today, yet if philosophers need think about the comparative criteria does the mob watching The View consider such issues reflexively?

Philosophers that have no better than common ideas might want to think twice about regarding themselves as philosophers.

Would a philosopher dismiss interpreting the Bible with insight informed by science, philosophy, history and the indeterminacy of translation created by the time lapse of communication from an omniscient being arbitrarily as so many do today? Or would he develop a modern synthetic method in order to apprehend meaning that isn’t common or ordinary thought one finds in ecclesiastic or just evolutionary camps?

Philosophers tend to run ahead of the pack in the marathon of life sometimes because they spend more time thinking and working to develop new thought. Of course soon the mob will all have AI assistants and believe they are all nearly geniuses when in fact they are just Republicans and Democrats. One side bites incidentally.

Information is meaningful for sentients. Within noumena for-itsrlf nothing is meaningful or prioritized unless God deems it so. For humans I would say fields are fundamental and waves an aspect of them.

DOGE Fires SE Alaska Forestry and Park Workers

There have been dozens of forest and National Park service workers fired in SE Alaska’s Tongass National Forest by DOGE recently. The Mendenhall Glacier visitor center has just two maintenance workers remaining. At least three park rangers are needed for law enforcement and visitor safety at the site.

I view job loss as a normal part of the landscape. One just moves on to the next station in life. Federal jobs are good ones compared to some private sector jobs. They get retirement and social security?

Government workers serve the public and presently the public can be served by decreasing government cost and transferring tasks to the private sector that can be done by the private sector. Whatever Mr. Trump and DOGE accomplish the next administration will need to find new ways to accomplish public service through free enterprise.

Everyone wants to live in the rainforest yet being unemployed burns up savings quickly. Those that lost work should lose no time in pursuing educational and work opportunities elsewhere before they go broke. One can return to S.E. in the future. There are lots of good places to explore in the 48 states.
