Alaska's Stikine River Fishery is Endangered by a Canadian Mine Upstream

It won’t be too easy to save the Stikine. The Red Chris Mine was owned by the Newcrest Corporation that was bought in 2023 by the Newmont Corporation. Newcrest was only founded in 1990. Four years ago Newmont bought the Canadian Goldcorp and became a very large corporation. Newmont has returned nearly 7 billion dollars to investors in the past several years. It is the world’s largest gold mining corporation; a multi-national corporation listed on the N.Y.S.E.

https://salmonbeyondborders.org/comment-red-chris-mine?fbclid=IwY2xjawJmjqdleHRuA2FlbQIxMQABHlOnN5K37o8T-jz2rHZu0Ha2tdM2Xk3k-ZVREMftxmOeAHpWRlUxXMuYgYSx_aem_wo284ki8KRxjGmWDlpLfZQ

The Stikine River king salmon return is estimated to be just 10,000 fish this year. The run used to be millions of fish. The Red Chris Mine about 60 miles away on a tributary of the Stikine, located in a rain forest, is a large open pit copper mine with low grade ore. The corporation wants to expand the mine drilling tunnels horizontally underground and blow them up to sort through the debris. When water runs through the mining channels and demolished rocks it leaches toxic chemicals into waterways eventually.

I have the impression that those large mining corporations typically sell off depleted mines to some foreign shell company. The very rich harvest the profit and leave the cleanup to the E.P.A. and Superfund sites occasionally. The cost of cleaning up the Stikine someday if worst cases develop like that of Leadville  Colorado and Helena Montana could be billions. With the E.P.A. being cut there may be fewer dollars for the work. In the future maybe governments will increase funding to cleanup depleted mining sites.

Gemini described a shell company; “A shell company, or a single-purpose entity, is a legal entity with minimal or no active business operations. Large corporations often use them to sell companies with ecological liability, such as mining companies, to limit their own exposure to potential lawsuits or fines. This is done to shield the parent company from liability for the actions of the subsidiary”

Faster Than Light Travel via TheTimeless Two-Dimensional Support Structure of the 4-D Universe

The wormhole idea may have started with Einstein and Rosen (ER) critiquing quantum mechanics; they regarded it as an incomplete theory.. They believed that quantum entanglement could hypothetically be explained by a wormhole between entangled quantum particles. Plainly that opens the way to fiction paradigms for star trek transporters sending people through shaped quantum wormholes.

A modern theory that may surpass the Lamda Cold Dark Matter CDM model is one that has space-time and all of the contingent-entangled Universe being comparable to an illusion that occurs on or from an underlying timeless realm. Today some believe it could be explained by the four-dimensional universe being somewhat like a physical projection or phenomenon from an underlying two-dimensional field. That is the Universe of four dimensions is comparable to an illusion or phenomenon made because the field fluctuations of the two dimensional field yield waves that become entangled at points as particles and so the extra dimensions exist in the entangled state.  The new criterion would allow star-trek style transporters to relocate travelers anyplace in the Universe instantly. In a sense they would exploit quantum entanglement to disentangle themselves from local spacetime and reappear in another. More about that below.

ER=EPR stimulated, as I understand it, further ideas about wormholes between black holes and white holes. I hate to think about the way time is affected between the black hole and white holes in the wormholes. Some opinion based on ER is that the black white hole vector is the only form that wormholes could exist in space-time. One need put an asterisk next to many “only place” ideas obviously for they are difficult to prove.

There are other theories today about gravity and black holes instead of quantum gravity theories. One is that singularities don’t really exist in black holes and instead they stop reducing at a certain size and spew out their mass through the wormhole and white hole on the other end.

Quantum entropy is a new explanation for gravity that obviously isn’t proven yet. Yet it could provide another opportunity for faster-than-light-travel theory. One should be able to use a star trek transporter to reduce an individual to an unentangled state and bounce the information down to the timeless two-dimensional place that uplifts the contingent universe of four dimensions. Space-time in that timeless two-dimensional realm is quite different (no time and no distance in comparison to the four dimension realm). Then one need return the disentangled quanta to a different location in the Universe.

Here is some information about quantum entropy gravity theory summarized by Gemini-

“The "quantum entropy theory of gravity" is a framework that proposes that gravity can be derived from quantum relative entropy, a measure of how different two quantum states are. This approach attempts to unify quantum mechanics and general relativity by treating gravity as an emergent phenomenon arising from the differences in information content between spacetime and matter.

Entropy and Gravity:

The core idea is that gravity isn't a fundamental force but rather a consequence of the increasing disorder (entropy) within a system. In this framework, the geometry of spacetime is related to a quantum operator, and the difference between the natural spacetime metric and the metric induced by matter fields is quantified by quantum relative entropy.

Bridging Quantum and General Relativity:

By linking gravity to quantum information, this theory aims to reconcile the two seemingly incompatible theories of quantum mechanics and general relativity.

Modified Einstein Equations:

The entropic action leads to modified Einstein equations that, under certain conditions, reduce to the familiar equations of general relativity. However, it also predicts a small, positive cosmological constant, which aligns better with the observed accelerated expansion of the universe than other existing theories.

The G-field:

The theory introduces a G-field, an auxiliary field acting as a Lagrangian multiplier, which plays a crucial role in the modified gravity equations and potentially offers new insights into dark matter.

Emergent Gravity:

This approach suggests that gravity might be an emergent phenomenon, meaning it arises from the collective behavior of smaller, more fundamental constituents of spacetime.”

Jehovah's Witness Seem Close to Perping the Unpardonable Sin

Jehovah’s Witnesses don’t believe in the Holy Spirit as a person and member of the Trinity. Instead they regard the Holy Spirit as an ‘active’ force of God. The unpardonable sin is “grieving the Holy Spirit”. So not believing the Holy Spirit is a real individual might grieve the Spirit, no?

That difficult paradigm is meaningful for Christians who definitely want to avoid grieving the Holy Spirit. It isn’t a technical or trick question sort of grievance some ‘experts’ have opined. It is intentional blasphemy. So if JWs don’t know that not believing in the reality of the Holy Spirit is comparable to not believing in the reality of Jesus, except perhaps as an active force of God, maybe they aren’t committing the big one. Jesus did say; “Father, forgive them for they know not what they do.”

Matthew and Mark contain passages where Jesus  talks about the unpardonable sin (Matthew 12:31-32 and Mark 3:28-30). I asked google search to summarize what Jesus had to say about the Holy Spirit; this is what it wrote;

Jesus refers to the Holy Spirit as a distinct person within the Trinity, not just an impersonal power or force, emphasizing his role as a teacher, counselor, and comforter. He describes the Holy Spirit as “another Helper,” distinct from himself, and the Father, who will be sent in his name. Jesus also highlights the Holy Spirit’s intimate connection with believers, emphasizing his presence and dwelling within them.

Here’s a more detailed look at how Jesus describes the Holy Spirit:

Dwelling within Believers:Jesus also says that the Holy Spirit dwells with believers and will be in them. This signifies a personal and intimate relationship between the Spirit and those who believe in Jesus.

Distinct Person:Jesus consistently speaks of the Holy Spirit as a “person,” using pronouns like “he” and “him”. This contrasts with the idea of the Holy Spirit being merely an impersonal force or power.

Sent by the Father:Jesus states that the Holy Spirit will be sent by the Father in his name. This indicates a distinct relationship and delegation of authority within the Trinity.

Connected to Jesus:Jesus emphasizes that the Holy Spirit will glorify him, taking what is Jesus’ and declaring it to the believers. This highlights the Holy Spirit’s role in making Jesus’ teachings and message known.

Comforter and Counselor:Jesus promises that the Holy Spirit will be a comforter and counselor to his disciples, guiding them into all truth.”

Ukraine is Source of Evil and Division for the West

Western Europe hasn’t any vital interests in Ukraine. Their false belief they have a security need to stop Russia at the 1991 boundary or Russia will invade all the way to the English Channel is entirely delusional. Fundamentally European leaders are convincing themselves Russia is a threat to the west in order to sublimate their attempt to bully Russia into relinquishing its historical right to some if not all of Ukraine. European leaders want to swell the European Union and to make N.A.T.O. into their personal military tool.

European leaders probably believe that tactically they can defeat Russia in a war of attrition. They also know that Russia won’t attack N.A.T.O. countries supplying Ukraine with military support because that would obligate the U.S.A. as a N.A.T.O. member to get involved to defend them and that is the short route to nuclear war. the duplicity is another reason why Western Europe is not actually facing a Russian invasion threat- who wants nuclear war even in Russia?

Europe is the primary power block protracting the Ukraine War presently. That wrong choice will damage the European economy as it has that of the United States; the conflict is one more problem exacerbating global trade issues and warping the obsolete criterion of neo-liberalism Europe flourished with.

Someone in Ukraine was exchanging emails with the last attempted assassin of President Trump at a golf course in Florida. The suspect asked for a rocket propelled grenade and to have it delivered to the U.S.A. Ukraine is a nexus of problems for the world- a wrench in the economic works of the United States, Europe and even China and Japan. Ending the war directly and making permanent new boundaries more or less, approximately with East Ukraine beyond the Dnpro Russian and West Ukraine a state without N.A.T.O. membership, although individual European states could still sign treaties with West Ukraine is in the economic and existential interests of Europe and the United States.

American Democrats have chosen a bizarre allegiance to Ukraine in recent years that is not well founded. Europeans should not take that fact blow smoke in their eyes through which they see a vast left-wing diamond of wealth in Ukraine within their grasp. It would profitable to all and save many live if the war were wrapped up and filed in history as a waste of life and good sense directly.

U.S. Public Debt Would Soon Be Half of the World's If Neo-Liberalism Continued Uncorrected

Obviously something has to change in the way the U.S.A. does business. The present model being dysfunctional in regard to sustainability is undergoing change from the White House. With neo-liberal economic policy left uncorrected within a few brief years the nation would have more than half of the planet’s public debt. Japan incidentally, needs to make a deal swiftly since it also has vast public debt- nearly 10 trillion dollars. If the U.S. and Japanese economies tanked that would be a blow to the west.

I asked Gemini about the distribution of public debt…

Global Public Debt: As of 2023, global public debt reached a record high of $97 trillion.

US National Debt: The US national debt is currently around $36.22 trillion.

Debt to GDP ratio: The US government debt accounted for 124.0 % of the country’s Nominal GDP in Dec 2024.

Top countries holding US debt: As of November 2024, the top 5 countries holding the most US debt are Japan, China, the U.K., Luxembourg, and the Cayman Islands.

Japan’s debt to GDP ratio: Japan’s public debt as of 2023 is $9.2 trillion which is 263% of GDP. “

Tariffs on China Imports at 104 Per Cent During- First Wave of MAGA

Tariffs on China were upgraded 50% today by President Trump for a total of 104% on Chinese imports to the United States. It seems harsh yet it is a logical response to the Chinese policy of matching U.S. tariffs in order to continue its vast trade surplus with the U.S.A.

Chinese is a growing economic tiger flexing its muscles internationally. With a little foresight one can understand that in 5 or 10 years if the neo-liberal economic policies of the United States continued China would likely dominate the globes' manufacturing, vastly increase its military power and downgrade the United States in the international service sector that is the next area for the Chinese economy to take over. Since it was American policy that brought China in to the world market economy beginning with the open door policy of President Nixon and Kissinger the change in U.S. policy to make an adjustment in the relationship may create some friction. Yet like raising a pet alligator or guerrilla at home, China as a young padawan learning the ways of the free market economic force was one thing, yet as a mature player it presents some dangers.

The United States needs to be great again in the sense of enriching all of its citizens, constructing bold new infrastructure using every modern concept including ecological economic and design that can be found, building a great safety net economically that will be able to meet the challenges ongoing presented by Artificial Intelligence and robots with AI in their skull brain housing units, in mass transportation that travels coast to coast in an hour on land and so forth. It need be able to manufacture whatever it needs with print on demand structure, make all of its waste disposal waterless and leave zero carbon emissions in the atmosphere because not only is it harmful to global surface temperature, it wastes a resource.

The United States needs to be able to have an armed neutrality with advanced military infrastructure and renew its manufacturing infrastructure. Inventors should be able to get patents for virtually nothing and swiftly bring products to locally be manufactured without delay. Reducing the period of patent exclusivity in order to expedite the dissemination of new articles for manufacture at lower costs, while compensating the inventor after patent exclusivity expires in five from after it being granted with a 5% royalty from anyone manufacturing it is a needed step for making the U.S.A. great in a planetary atmosphere with strong Chinese competition economically and socially. China is likely to exploit its manufacturing dominance to bring global socialism forward with a mixed market economy.

China is now a successful economic rival in the free market. Its economy has grown because it was catching up swiftly and had domestic state and foreign investment. Yet as a mature economy its growth rate will eventually slow down to reach parity with the west; that’s just the way those matters go historically. Waiting for that natural balance to be reached without reforming the American economy would assure the downward standard of living for poorer and middle class Americans they should not have to go through; poverty is hard to escape once it is socially oppressively structured to perpetuate it. Many Americans do not believe the nation needs economic reform, yet it does. It actually needs comparatively radical economic reform, and spiritual renewal. Mr. Trump’s MAGA term is just the first of what should be a succession of reformist administrations bringing in the newest, ecologically kosher infrastructure and development possible to the nation.

The United States will need to compete for the allegiance of the masses globally by showing that a non-socialist economy does work better to improve the lives of even the most poor citizens of a nation- that no one is left to wither away in a backwater current of poverty. With vast economic power China may be able to entirely end its domestic poverty and lend its expertise in economics and government to the masses of Eurasia, Africa and Latin America. The U.S.A. will need to restore its domestic economic circumstance, end the war in Ukraine, eliminate public debt and go about rebuilding a nation with no physical infrastructure from coast to coast leaving in its wake vast channels for a healthy ecosphere and for wildlife include reintroduced engineered species rescued from extinction like the Dire wolf.

The United States needs to be able to walk and chew gum politically though it has been challenged to in recent decades. Democrats simply hate Republicans and an America that doesn't give away its wealth through disadvantages left by uncorrected neo-liberalism economic policy. Democrats may have foreign allegiance to a Europe that thrives in paranoia and refuses to make happy days including Russia. Democrat politicians seek primarily to enrich themselves while Republican leadership drops the ball on ecological economics and a robust economic safety net for all citizens as if it were a porcupine. Failing to act comprehensively to make America great will reduce the MAGA legacy more to something like Make America Mediocre Again.

Holographic Universe May Be Unreal/'T Hooft Interview with Scientific American

Gerard ‘T Hooft has made many contributions to quantum physics yet said many controversial or novel insights into the state of quantum mechanics research and theory today. He believes quantum superpositions don’t really exist except as statistical conveniences and that means that quantum computing may be inaccurate down the road. His comments in an interview with Scientific American are rather remarkable and weighty.

https://www.scientificamerican.com/article/breakthrough-prize-winner-gerard-t-hooft-says-quantum-mechanics-is-nonsense/

The remark I found most intriguing was the one about black holes and the information of three dimensional space being encoded on a two-dimensional surface outside it. That original insight of ‘T Hooft paved the way for the cascade of holographic universe ideas and movies that followed. Yet ‘T Hooft says the criterion is simply a mathematical method rather than actual. There are other paradigms he could have employed.

If all of the quantum phenomena of space time are entanglements that seems consistent with the other new idea floating about recently that time is a contingent, emergent property of local quantum entanglement.. Quantum entanglements in three dimensional space give rise to the appearance of three dimension space plus time while the host is two-dimensional and massless.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tFvJwZKQ9QA

As I understand it the extra dimensions are contingent, emergent properties of the quantum fluctuation and entanglement of lower dimensions. That too, obviously, could be nonsense. There is a new quantum theory of gravity based on quantum entropy--- quantum information theory. Its rather clever. I wonder though if 'T Hooft's idea that quantum mechanics as statistical generality rather than specific and exact wouldn't affect the new quantum entropy theory a little. The proposed G field would also cohere within the contingent, emergent 4 dimensional criterion. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7YuzRpE6erY

China sent 150,000 Men to Help Allies in World War One

There is a little known historical fact about the First World War; China sent 150,000 men to the west to help win the war against Germany and Turkey etc. Their contribution delivering ammunition and with logistics and combat engineering skill like building trenches was not an unimportant contribution to victory. They are probably helping Russia with a very small percent of that number in order to shore up Russia's attempt to defend itself against N.A.T.O. member infiltration eastward. It would not be surprising if China sent as many soldiers to Russia to support its historically correct assertion of a right to rule half of Ukraine as it did to help France and Belgium defend themselves in the First World War. China lost between 2000 to 20,000 men in that conflict and were largely neglected by the allies later when Japan began its invasion of China.

Non-combatant support forces  relieve combatants from the necessary support tasks and let them fight instead of digging in. The fact that history may be repeating itself against underscores the point that people or at least political leaders do not learn from history; human nature and original sin prevail to drive lemming leadership to battle in senseless, needless, costly conflicts.

Rectification of Neo-Liberal Economics

Rectifying deficiencies from Reagan era neo-liberalism transitions from Bretton Woods is challenging. One can't go on adding trillions of public debt annually. Some believe economics is voodoo and the tooth fairy of free trade will make the world a more peaceful.verdant, fair and balanced place in a faithless social mileau. President Trump has the nerve to at least try to fix the damage. No one else had a meaningful plan. if it works it might be possible to adapt ecological economics onto it eventually and export that to the world. It may be assured that Democrats are looking backward rather than ahead.

Gemini's Opinion on Why Olympus Mons Could Grow So Tall

I asked Gemnini why Olympus Mons could grow so tall. It said...

"Yes, the lower gravity of Mars compared to Earth is considered one of the key reasons why Olympus Mons was able to grow so incredibly tall.

Here's the breakdown of why:

  1. Lower Gravity: Mars has about 38% of Earth's surface gravity. This means that the volcanic rock making up Olympus Mons weighs significantly less than it would on Earth. Consequently, the mountain could grow much taller before its own weight caused it to collapse or before the Martian crust could no longer support its immense load. Taller structures are simply more stable under lower gravity.

  2. Lack of Plate Tectonics: This is arguably just as important, or even more important, than lower gravity. On Earth, the tectonic plates are constantly moving over stationary "hot spots" in the mantle (plumes of magma). As a plate moves, new volcanoes form over the hotspot, creating chains like the Hawaiian Islands. No single volcano stays over the magma source long enough to grow to the scale of Olympus Mons. On Mars, the crust appears to be largely stationary (no active plate tectonics). This means Olympus Mons likely sat over a persistent hotspot for potentially billions of years, allowing lava to continuously pile up in the same location, building one enormous structure instead of a chain of smaller ones.

  3. Longer Eruption Duration: Related to the lack of plate tectonics, the magma source feeding Olympus Mons was likely active over a much longer period than typical terrestrial volcanoes experience while remaining in one place, contributing to its massive volume.

  4. Lower Erosion Rates: While not directly related to its peak height during formation, the lack of significant water and wind erosion on Mars compared to Earth has helped preserve Olympus Mons's immense size over geological time.

In summary: Lower gravity definitely played a significant role by allowing the structure to support itself at a much greater height. However, the lack of plate tectonics, allowing the volcano to remain over its magma source for an exceptionally long time, is the other critical factor explaining the sheer scale of Olympus Mons compared to anything found on Earth."

Human Thought Isn't Mostly Memory as Some Believe

People have memory yet like a computer c.p.u. also have live computation or cogitation. Then of course perception inward and outwardly sourced exists. One can think about that with awareness. An example of inward perception is continuous pain that one would like to be unaware of or not think about yet can't. An example of outward perception is a cold rain soaking one and pelting the face with cold drops in driving wind; these are all live thoughts and perceptions rather than memory. One may think about perceptions later, reflectively with memory, yet memory can be fairly useless if cold and starving (i.e. while starving remember having a steak in a warm restaurant five years before).

Memory can be unreliable too, so far as forming judgments go. I saw an FB post where someone put forth their opinion of the all-time best Celtics roster for a team. Bill Russell was named as the starting center while others mentioned Dave Cowens. With a dozen comments no one mentioned Bill Walton who played just one season for the Celtics yet won an N.B.A. championship. Walton was actually the best center to ever play for the Celtics. Even the public forgets in the present. Thoughts relying on memory alone are prone to error while present perception and what one thinks about it (doubling the thought activity in effect, with reflection) is less inaccurate since the complex of compresence is not internally stimulated.

Memory is the store of knowledge, yet knowledge is used in the present. One may use knowledge (memory) to construct new ideas creatively, inventively combining memories intentionally to form the idea of a new widget. One may use memory to construct solutions to present challenges or to form synthetic judgments with some value (as in arranging peace among unwilling belligerents) etc.

Genocides are Caused by People-Not Political isms

Pol Pot and the Khymer Rouge were communist atheists and perped a genocide. Yet the problem is of people and political convenience more than religion or lack of it. The Hutu leaders of the Rwandan genocide claimed the Tutsi weren’t Christians to devalue them. Atheism can lead to nihilism yet politics usually isn’t about philosophical or theological issues for-itself when genocide is present; instead there are always other secular issues like race, wealth, power, resources, perversion and so forth that motivate the purge of a class of individuals. Religion or lack of it is used as an excuse for a mass purge rather than a primary cause.

I suppose there have been religious leaders that have used war to expedite proselytization- such as Mohammed who was a warrior-religion creator. The Spanish inquisition was a political purge more than something motivated by Biblical hermeneutics in error. After the Reconquista leaders wanted to purge Spain of werewolves and that took a religious form since religious affiliation was comparable to a modern political party allegiance then. That sort of political cleansing often follows wars-including post-war Germany, Iraq etc. https://uu.diva-portal.org/smash/record.jsf…

Pres. Trump's Tariff Medicine is a Hard Economic Remedy

Usually I would prefer classical free trade economics without tariffs. Since the USA began outsourcing jobs and the country began trade deficit increases decades ago it was plain that some kind of correction would need to occur at some point. Debt can’t be used to finance a national economy forever. I guess the time has arrived to correct the unbalanced national economic structure. It is tough to regard President Trump as a kind of pragmatic 19th century country doctor amputating a gangrenous policy, yet his economic surgery is a bold move.

I am not sure of what impact the tariffs will have, yet it could be positive in the long run. The minimum wage adjusted for inflation is far less now than it was in 1970. After the Cold War ended global labor competition to American workers increased about 80%. Cheap Chinese labor made American industry invest overseas, in Mexico, India,Vietnam etc- basically anywhere labor was cheap. The theory is that while wages are rising in China and America's working class economy relied on cheap foreign imports for consumer goods and vast federal deficit spending the economy was OK. American wages stagnated except for the rich that saw tremendous income increases because of all the foreign based investments and profit with low taxes in the U.S.A. as well. Low taxes on the rich are supposed to create job growth and it does-overseas.

https://suno.com/song/9e65a66d-a822-43d3-8831-ebcd0235924a?sh=LVeInrKa1hVauYW7

Tariffs may reverse the investment flow a little. With public debt at 33 trillion something had to be done. The planetary tariffs are a bold move and I am surprised that Pres Trump actually had the will to try it. Public debt and federal deficit spending couldn't just be allowed to keep increasing by a trillion or two every year until it hit 50 or 100 trillion while American wages were poor and imports became more costly because Chinese wages are increasing and the rich can hide their foreign profits in bitcoin and other crypto-currencies. Foreign economies grow stronger and America's comparatively weaker. The tariffs are a real attempt to change things positively. I hope that it works.

Those Ford Galaxy 500s were pretty decent cars. T.V. seemed fine. The moon landings were clear enough, and Superbowls. Chryslers had some manufacturing issues. Detroit partly closed down. The Arab Oil Embargo of 1973 gave small foreign cars a huge boost in American sales because people wanted fuel efficient foreign cars. It was amazing to see the year by year increase of small Japanese cars like the miniature Honda civic in size- and of course today the Toyota trucks are almost as large as 60s American trucks.Detroit tried retooling while iron production declined in the Midwest- lots of political issues. Environmental issues loomed large. The national highway sped limit was 55 m.p.h. for conservation. It was a time of change. Establishments drag their feet on change sometimes. The effort to produce synthetic fuel from coal at Parachute Colorado to replace embargo'd fuel reminds one how tough the lack of fuel was- long lines on even and odd days to buy gas.

The N.Y.S.E isn't a list of American businesses located in America. Tariffs into America and exports-even Boeing parts for China and vice versa, are going to slump sales and increase costs for a lot of people. A time for adjusting to a new balance might take a while.. The N.Y.S.E. has 530 corporations from 48 countries. Even small changes in costs require price adjustments, much less large tariffs. Even resetting pricing will take time. Some multi-national corporations will get around tariffs, yet other could pay tariffs in two-way trade (i.e. 35% plus 35% equals 70%).

Christianity Doesn't Postulate Theistic Structures in Physical Space

Christianity doesn’t have material structures in space as personifications of God. The rainbow is a reminder from God of quantum physics in the New Testament, yet it isn’t such that it comprises a cosmology. Some reference the Church that is the body of Christ on Earth because Christ cares for the saved who do some of his work. It is a metaphor to explain the unity of the Church. It is not a cosmology. God transcends the physical universe- He is spirit. Material structures shouldn’t be used to understand the theology/theoretical being of God. He is pure spirit and the composition of the universe is less than putty to Him. The Word of God is a reference to a role of Christ (in the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God). If one wants a paradigm for understanding that compare Plotinus’ Enneads about The Intelligence. Plotinus wrote a couple of centuries after the Apostle John more or less. I appreciate the reference to existence as “a thought in the mind of God”. There is no structure in the Universe that isn’t contingent being.

Just going on what is written in scripture. I have read the Bible a fair amount the past 65 years so one need trust one’s familiarity with such things. I am happy to learn of serious Biblical scholar opinions that would refute that one point. Certainly Biblical scholars still provide a lot of insight regarding things I didn’t know about the Bible. One might mention Old Testament things like Ezekiel’s wheels (Ezekiel 1: 15-21 and various prophetic descriptions yet the New Testament has none of that. The Revelation has metaphor yet it is challenging to interpret. Martin Luther said it had a lot of straw. Preterists and partial preterists tend to regard the Revelation as referring to the approaching apocalypse of the annihilation of Jerusalem in 70 A.D. The numbers 666 for example; the mark of the beast, is a Jewish reference to Nero. (cf “”666 spells Nero” stems from the gematria (a system of assigning numerical values to letters) interpretation of the name “Nero Caesar” in Hebrew, which translates to נרון קסר (NRON QSR) and purportedly sums to 666″). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LTRFJBvB_sw

Did Elon Use Colussus the Forbin Project as a Template for His Own Project Colossus?

Elon Musk is building the largest generative AI in the world in Memphis. It is named Project Colossus. I wonder if he is unaware of the scifi movie on an AI that takes over the world named Colussus; The Forbin Project- or if it was a template- speculative fiction repeating itself in history.

Minimum Wage; Less Now than in 1970 Adjusted for Inflation

"When adjusted for inflation, the 2024 federal minimum wage is significantly lower than the real value of the minimum wage in 1970."-Google search

Maybe President Trumps equalization of global tariffs will bring more work and a higher minimum wage to American workers. Some say the revenue from tariffs will go to pay down the public debt- Congress is seeking to raise the debt ceiling 5 trillion dollars. It is also said that the revenue is necessary to finance war with Iran to stop it from developing nuclear weapons and financing attacks on Israel.

Subjectivity of Language and Truth Values

I was conversing with Gemini about the limits of LLMs since they are based on human language, and human language is just an approximation-perhaps statistically founded, on what is perceived. There is no direct relation between word and object such that the language has an element of realism about it. Various languages have different words of the experience of a red apple, and to some individuals it might even correlate with fear (perhaps Newton was traumatized being hit in the head with an apple).

There isn't much doubt that some academics since Dewey have said that truth is subjective. If language is subjective the statement has some truth about it. Language has a pragmatic basis though. People are free to reject truth where it is necessary and to be stupid if they prefer. Logic is a way of structuring analysis, and some don't like analytic philosophy either.

I liked Ian Sterwart's Flatland and the sequel Flatterland: Like Flatland, Only More So. Logic seems fine with n dimensions though. Maybe one could add new logic methods. Logic isn't geometry or cosmology. Euclidean and Riemannian geometry are equally not logic, which isn't math. People will argue about trans-finite numbers and infinity, the void and noumena, yet the known is the sole realm one knows and that goes for logic too- not a reason to be dismissive. One can only examine where one is-like prisoners on the floor of Plato's cave. Because there may well be somewhere else than the known Universe- even if that realm is God's , that does not mean that knowledge of where one is, is meaningless.

Here is a list of people that have supported the subjectivity of truth values provide by ChatGPT; "Since John Dewey, several academics, particularly in postmodernist and pragmatist traditions, have argued that truth is subjective or at least socially constructed. Some key figures include:

Richard Rorty (1931–2007) – A neopragmatist heavily influenced by Dewey, Rorty rejected the idea of objective truth, arguing instead that truth is what a given community finds useful to believe. He saw truth as a product of language and social practice rather than an objective correspondence with reality.

Thomas Kuhn (1922–1996) – While not directly arguing that truth is subjective, Kuhn’s The Structure of Scientific Revolutions (1962) suggested that scientific paradigms determine what is considered true, implying that truth is relative to historical and social contexts.

Michel Foucault (1926–1984) – Foucault explored how knowledge and truth are shaped by power structures, arguing that truth is historically contingent and constructed through discourse rather than an objective reality.

Jean-François Lyotard (1924–1998) – In The Postmodern Condition (1979), Lyotard critiqued grand narratives and universal claims to truth, suggesting that truth is localized, contextual, and shaped by language games.

Bruno Latour (1947–2022) – A key figure in Science and Technology Studies (STS), Latour argued that scientific facts are constructed through networks of human and non-human actors, challenging the idea of objective truth.

Jacques Derrida (1930–2004) – Derrida’s deconstruction challenged the stability of meaning in language, implying that truth is always deferred and contingent upon interpretation."

Nelson Goodman (1906–1998) – In Ways of World making (1978), Goodman argued that truth depends on the conceptual frameworks we construct, suggesting multiple “right” descriptions of reality rather than one objective truth."

Plainly the notion that truth values are entirely and invariably subjective is useful to politicians who prefer lies and deceit. I believe they misunderstand the context of subjectivity for reasons of personal utility and positive reward for dismissing objective truth.

It may be that some people don’t understand the paradigm of subjective and objective distinctions for language and perception; they differ from one another.
