The President's Mexican Border Tariff Plan Was Worth a Full Point

I think it would be politically difficult for President Obrador to enact some of the measures he agreed to, such as putting more Mexican troops on the Guatemalan border to stop illegals from heading north, without pressure from President Trump and the sanctions. That was realpolitik.

Getting anything done when outsiders believe the United States has a marshmallow border control policy is difficult. I worked at a Taco Bell with a Haitian shift manager who said the United States is like a spread-legged woman. The Democrat Party is the stay-puffed marshmallow leadership party on externally-sourced problems, unless it involves going to war on nations that resist homosexual marriage.
