Mediaocracy Get's Boost From Supreme Court Campaign Finance aNo-Limits Decision

Mediaocracy got a big boost from the 5-4 decision in favor of the sky's the limit on campaign advertising financing by individuals in McCutcheon v. Federal Election Commission.

The founders did not foresee that U.S. politics would become defined by a broadcast media and concentrated wealth purchases of ads. Neither would they have known that U.S. politicians would be so dull as to be incapable of reforming the broadcast media transforming it to citizen podcast slices. That would halt the pervasive mediaocracy of the political realpolitik as a shill for corporate interests of concentrated wealth and power.

The F.C.C. is malleable to the Congress. Limiting aggregate spending may be anathema to the court and to capitalist sensibilities yet real political philosophers from Aristotle to Acton understood the effect that concentrated wealth and political power have; it absolutely corrupts. Corrupt means corrupt-all of human society suffers.
