Kasparov vs. Nigel Short in St. Louis April 25th and 26th

This remarkable chess game of two former heavyweight chess players in St. Louis later this month is something like having Theodore Roosevelt return to the White House to get things done regarding environmental conservation. Well, Gary Kasparov is arguably the best chess player of all time-although Robert James Fischer has a point higher winning percentage against fewer opponents and Magnus Carlsen has the highest ever rating against fewer opponents. At any rate it's good to see the retired former heavyweight champ return to the 64 squares against a former challenger to the title.

There will be 8 blitz games and two with standard time controls (slow speed) over two days,
