Bill
Clinton failed to understand the logic for Serbian War intervention. President
Clinton exploited the war to get President Yeltsin to give up Ukraine
creating the traditional kernel for east-west political schism. He
also enable Muslim expansion and goals for Europe and the U.S.A.. The
primary reason for intervention by the west and N.A.T.O. was to snuff
a wildfire in the nascent post-cold war environment and reinforce the
convergence of Russian, former Warsaw pact states and Western
economic and political interests. Refereeing the Balkan Orthodox
Christian-Muslim divorce required awareness of the history of the
region. The Clinton administration exploited N.A.T.O.'s strength to
usurp the process and look for financial futures. Today about twenty
years later the cold war has been reignited by another Democrat
President who also expanded Muslim terrorism and immigration to
Europe with protracted support for needless Syrian civil war. Syria
has valuable Mediterranean Sea real estate. Counterproductive
intervention era policies led to vast future financial and political
costs and lost opportunities for the U.S.A., Europe, Russia and
elsewhere.
President
G.H.W. Bush was cool on intervention. President Clinton was happy
enough to stand idle when the Rwandan genocide occurred yet found the
Balkans conflict more appealing. A difference is the Rwandan conflict
presented not opportunities for land grabbing while Serbian was a
Bully's pulpit showing the power of N.A.T.O. while former Soviet
Empire was broken.
A
Pew research article noted that by 2070 Muslims will be the most
populous religious group on Earth. They have the greatest fecundity
rate presently. Four of ten Christian then will live in Sub-Saharan
Africa and the west as a civilization will experience substantial
challenges from Islam within and without. India will be the most
populous Muslim nation in the world though yet a minority in that
country.
It
is wrong to overestimate the intelligence of American political
leaders.
