Nakamura Trumps Zurich; Looks to Moscow

The reigning chess champ of the United States Hikaru Nakamura won one of the years most prestigious chess tournaments; the Zurich Challenge played Feb. 13-15. Vladmir Kramnik and Viswanathan Anand, former world champions were also in the event. Anand finished 2nd just a half point behind.

From 10–30 March the candidates' tournament to determine who will play World Champ Magnus Carlsen for the title will be played. Nakamura and fellow U.S. chess federation player Fabiano Caruana each qualified to played in the highest level event in Moscow.

The title match is scheduled to be held at the St. Louis chess club in November 2016*.
