Britain's vote to leave the European Union provides more options for economic self-control and political self-determination that were lost with the anachronistic blob of the European Union. The E.U. emerged as a rather obsolete concept format developed during the Cold War without any sense of the post-cold war social, political and economic environment of the Muslim jihad and New World Order challenges to democracy and national sovereignty.
Because of the practical electronic integration of European society there is no prospect for 12-mile isolationism or for Britain to elect a Dictator Von Kim Libervorst-Windsort and take the path of existential trade neurosis. The opportunities for selecting beneficial points of the E.U. trading arrangements to keep and those that should be discarded will enable the big island to make its economy more responsive to actual citizens of England rather than distant martinets.
The issue of national identity that arose from the waves of illegal immigration that the E.U. was incapable of responding to and forced upon Britain is a basic challenge to every nation of the world today. The corrupt elitist powers of predatory capitalism prefer to destroy national sovereignty and labor security of the masses and keep labor wages as low as possible through mass labor and refugee migrations. Better for the common man and woman are secure borders, labor stability and development of each nation cooperatively toward and ecospheric economic sustainability. Britain may peg the pound to the value of the Euro, use the Euro ordinarily and keep the pound in the electronic abstract to smooth exchange.
The E.U. may evolve to a more compact economic coordinating clearing-house role with a menu of options given to every nation to select from to customize their own relations. Issues of national security regarding sovereignty and citizenship may be returned to each state for their self-determination. It may be better for ecological transportation and energy evolution for nations to be free to experiment with their own technology and politics rather than have a New World Order technology forced upon them universally.
Free enterprise and capitalism in the computerized global trading environment require a measured defense against oligarchic and monopolistic practices that may be pervasive and oppressive through numerous modes of networking. It may be necessary to index taxation upon accumulated wealth and corporate holdings to a percent of national and global wealth in order to prevent extreme concentrations of wealth and keep capitalism more accessible to everyone within reason.
Britain has taken a first step toward a new era of facing planetary demographic, environmental, economic and political challenges head on, yet the challenges are great and those working to move in the right direction few in politics.
