Public Schools and Private Prisons may be counter-productive

Public schools came into existence because educated citizens were necessary for the good of the state and the public alone was able to step in to the breach to provide them. Today however there are a surplus of educated people and private capital able to operate schools. Public schools actually work against quality education in America for the masses by displacing or aborting private school conceptions.

The public should have a role in funding private schools that could appear like private contractors providing services and materials to the Department of Defense. Quality education products and results would be rewarded and competition to flourish. People with a PhD in history could stop working at a copy shop and take a job for a while in a private school instructing high school students.

Public schools have reinforced gross and pervasive income inequality based school district financing. To receive federal support private schools funded by the public should receive the same per student funding across the state and all school districts. Students from ghetto neighborhoods would have the same per student investment as those from rich districts. Private schools not funded by the state could of course choose to opt out and not receive public funding.

Private prisons have a profit motive to incarcerate people. Youth have a per-head value of maybe $40,000 each as prisoners to the for-profit prison keeper. In fact the value to a capitalist of the profit he can make by employing an individual may be less than what he can make by incarcerating an individual. It would be better if the profit motive was applied to public education and graduating quality students rather than to incarcerating youth.

Senatorial Integrity, Ted Kaczynski, Covid 19, Ethics

 In my opinion few senators have excellent ideas- that is caused by not knowing any better. They are not, in other words simply suppressing good ideas or wrong ideas and promoting bad ones. They do what they believe is right although its wrong sometimes. Maybe there is a sliding scale of ethics in government- ethical relativism as it were.

What if some Democrat with a PhD in biology who is an atheist and total global warming kool-aid imbiber believed that another Trump administration would bring about the end of the world because of Trump policies; so like Ted Kaczynski, an environmental activist known as the unibomber, he or she decided to take direction action and sabotage the booming economy based on fossil fuel liberation after the last best hope of getting rid of Trump before the second term failed (that was the Russian collusion fiasco). Direct action would be collusion with the Chinese perhaps, or developing the Covid 19 virus from samples exfiltrated from Wuhan’s bio lab level 3 facility and taking the virus from America to China and releasing it in the market near the lab.

Knowing the virus would swiftly reach the U.S.A. and sabotage the economy, the unknown agent of evil would melt back into his job and process germs in Atlanta or wherever while Trump is blaming the Chinese and being impeached a second time. If that unlikely scenario were true or not, Democrats in Congress would not investigate the possibility of Chinese collusion to elect Joe Biden or anything like that and would attack such ‘extremist’ views. Would that be integrity or consistent political behavior these days.

In my opinion product loyalty is everything required presently in politics.

Could anyone have engineered Covid 19 to hurt Trump and reduce the population?

 This question is not in some way a joke as quora minders have said. I don’t know how to phrase it in some more neutral way either. Plainly the appearance of Covid 19 destroyed the President’s economic management and prospects for re-election that appeared likely in spite of the years of Democrat accusations concerning Russia. Covid 19 was the grease that put President Biden in office.

If I had asked the question in this way ; ‘Did godless democrat PhDs in biology commit mass murder and frame the Chinese to get rid of Trump’, that would have been tactless.

I am simply looking for answers to the question of how easy it would be to select and distribute a lethal virus somewhere on Earth that would cull the herd of the weak and elderly, easily. And who the possible suspects are.

 The problems of social media sites that are owned by corporations concerning censorship are innumerable. It is thus surprising that more libertarian social media sites publicly owned and maintained by users that are quite tolerant of free speech don’t much exist so far as I know.

Social media content tends to disappear over time if it isn’t what the owners regard as helpful to their political or corporate benefit. That creates big headaches for people with their content deleted. Some of the M.S.M. would say it is extremism that is being deleted, and of course they define for-themselves what extremism is. History and social media is made by the victors and wealthy corporate deep pocket owners.

Citizens need reliable public social media infrastructure so they can write whatever they like without concern for it disappearing They should be assured that it will last for decades. Social media should not be an elite media that is filtered by various exclusive others to further their political interests. It is amusing that even the left these days positively chortle when writing to someone being censored that the social media is private so they can do whatever they like and bite it therefor- get a lawyer if you want (corporate media can afford lawyers more so than private citizens of lesser means). So long as corporate social media supports all of the basic leftist planks of abortion, homosexuality, legal dope and so forth the left are happy sycophants in building the repression of free speech in the U.S.A. Public owned social media to provide a non-volatile balance for free speech in a free country would be a positive change.

The defense of freedom sometimes requires the public sector to act when the private sector isn’t capable of providing necessary social media themselves. It may always be the case that intelligence that is excellent seems extreme to the average Joe Stalins and Adolph Eichmanns occupying the banal center political stage where sycophancy works best. If all ideas are freely expressed rather than repressed then people can at least encounter good ideas as well as average, heavily cloned concepts.

Forms for publicly secure social media could be co-opts, or co-opts partly government financed, or servers and sites sponsored by parties like Libertarian and Green parties that are tolerant of different opinions even if they are sent to a right or conservative frequency of their spectrum of varieties of political speech. I believe Facebook already sorts out material according to political persuasion to a certain extent. Plainly more than political speech would be expressed at a Libertarian social media site and that is good. For there are myriad undreampt of ideas of an infinite variety of forms that can be discovered in thought that should not be filtered or deleted by crass corporate social media minders that are tools for brainwashing Americans.

Prisons and economic condition hypotheticals

 It’s very hard to predict what would occur in the paradigm of deep economic depression concerning prisons. The Biden administration has said it will eliminate private prisons and create, I would guess, state-operated union job staffed facilities. Those have a sliding investment allocation in regard to how much is spent on prisons and prisoners. One may invest little or nothing and yet keep people in jail- look at how little Vietnamese P.O.W. camps for Americans cost the communists. Obviously reform is need on a large scale that would reduce costs before an economic crash.

Prison reform is one of the areas of governance that has a lot of expense and not enough new ideas. Computer c.p.u.’s improve from one generation to the next (about a year and a half) yet some human institutions never really get much more efficient at rehabilitating criminals. Plainly some prisoners were imprisoned in the reconstruction era in order to provide free or cheap convict labor, and some social classes prosper when an underclass requires much incarceration and supervision. Those are complex social problems that persist along with original sin and the challenges of making pervasive institutional improvements politically.
